Toilet blocked Bath would not fill up and drinks late and mixed up No offer of a refund when forced was offered 30 pounds on a 150 room paid Managers attitude stunk Was not bothered Don t stay here disgraceful

First the good
First the good Staff are helpful and friendly Room was clean We ve been going to this hotel for 16 years but the changes are worse since it s changed hands They now take in bus runs which means you can t always park to unload your luggage as there isn t enough space Which means you have to try and park elsewhere and lug cases to the hotel The room we used to book has been redesignated as a family room and the price has jumped about 50 Even the cheapest room has shot up if you book in advance An express breakfast used to be 9 95That has changed to a buffet for 15 95 Why Due to the influx of bus-runs in the morning you can t always sit in the lounge as it s full of people waiting for the bus For us after 16 years it s sad and now time to move on A good hotel ruined by greed

Cake week
Walking past and was tempted in by the big cake week sign outside the hotel saying cake week and coffee 5 95 how disappointing my husband seen some sultana cake and i went to order it and to choose what i would like only to be told apart from two bit of squished chocolate cake that was all they had really ordered my husbands coffee n sultans cake and i decided to leave it very disappointing i was told the sign sign should have been taken in as cake week finished the previous week wonder when the signs dotted all over the bar saying cake week were going to be taken down won t be back very misleading

NOT 4 How this place is running like this is unreal The place is run down dirty and poorly maintained The rooms have smashed sockets dirty walls dirty bathroom floor in the corners are disgusting NO cold water on top floor staff new this when I went down and asked for some water he said you on top floor 80 of people who stay here are from retirement homes they have no clue what it s really like Will never ever stay again and will warn other constantly to stay away

Defo not a star hotel let alone 4 5 as they claim it to be Booked a family room very cramped 2 single beds pushed together Hotel took advance payment but very disappointing rooms Very dated outside poorly maintained We were told no sea view rooms however the room we were provided with was cramped and dusty Cobwebs in the corner Really disappointed

Happy Christmas - baah humbug
Booked Christmas lunch for 3 people It cost 240 which included a complimentary glass of champagne As I was driving I opted to have a glass of fresh orange and lemonade Thought nothing more about it until I received a message advising that I had left the hotel without clearing my bar bill Phoned them up and was informed that I owed them 1 80 Lost for words I handed the call over to my girlfriend who in very eloquent terms reminded them of the amount paid for what in truth was a very average meal which lacked any real coordination by the staff Invited them to take us to court and informed them that we would not ever consider going there again
