Recently upgraded and having a ton of issues

Cushion attempts to help but bank won t budge

I originally subscribed to the People s Choice Membership tier and received absolutely 0 in refunds for 3 months straight Then they claimed that I could upgrade my account for free to Fee Genius with Negotiations and that it would not start until after my people s choice membership expired in 2022 however that is not the case They suddenly magically now we re able to negotiate refunds with my bank and conveniently for Cushion they decided to refund me a portion of the amount paid for the people s choice membership that was unused so that they could immediately upgrade my account to the membership option that allows them to get 39 of the refunded fees back in commission Absolutely ridiculous they completely lied about how my membership would be affected and now 250 worth of fees that I had refunded by my bank has been essentially stolen from me by Cushion Only reason didn t give 1 star is because the other 61 of the fees refunded that was actually left in my bank account was a fairly large amount to have been negotiated

Extremely slow In about 4 months I received 25 with hundreds of dollars still pending Additionally they took the credit for a 252 refund I negotiated myself due to a bank error

My credit union did not cooperate with this Although amount was approved they told me it was a scam and closed my account But time will tell if I get a refund from my other bank

I wrote a review yesterday and I am always nice This one wont get posted but fair is fair They did get me about 400 in refunds but thats been about 5 weeks ago and its never been put back on my account so its like it really never happened You say its up to the bank to decide when to give us the credit but you shouldnt show us we get a credit to get us excited and then it never happen You should wait til we report its in our account Right now I am still in the same mess I was in 5 - 6 weeks ago when I paid you to help me Also your Rewards I wasted my 1st 10 because it looks like we have the option of making a gift card or putting it on a amazon card but when you follow it to make a gift card the only option it amazon

I would love to edit this review however I am in a catch 20 20 I paid almost 100 dollars up front for the service and they have gotten me noting However they claimed they got me money back yet I called and got it back from my bank Yet they took credit I emailed the service and informed them of the false information on my dashboard I was told it would be update Guess what it was not To be honest I wish I would not have signed up for the service Also looking at more of the reviews Read how many of them say app I implore you to go download You can t That should tell you the truth about majority of these reviews

Not As AdvertisedWhile they do negotiate fee refunds there is no point in paying more for the plans where they state they do multiple negotiations in a month because that is not true I spoke with a rep after I had ONE fee negotiated in a 4 month time span when I was paying for 3 negotiations PER MONTH and was told that they wait for the optimal time and choose to do one at a time So I was paying for something I wasn t receiving making my experience pretty negative This isn t a service I would recommend as it s misleading and false advertising

Cushion pretends to be you you can do what they do for free and requests refunds for overdraft fees Sometimes they re successful sometimes not I m trying to cancel my account because I personally have had more success than Cushion as of late If you mention to your bank- predatory overdraft fees they tend to take your request more seriously From my experience
