Couldn t adjust for gluten freeCouldn t enter a set number of calories for another menuLike that it gives a break down of nutrients and calories of their set menus Can t adjust calories burned for walking or classes

Mayo clinic is terrific

Mayo clinic is terrific I m having issues with the diet website it can be difficult to figure out Seems like I can only track foods from the plan I can t swap out something simple like a tomato sandwich on whole wheat bread with lite mayo Do I have to eat what is on the plan and only substitute what s on the the plan My biggest issue is navigating the site

Food Repetition is Not My Favorite

The Menu was too repetitious I liked the fact that I lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks but honestly I felt starved Surely there is a plethora of tasty food that would reap the same effect on weight loss Repetition of the same food left overs every other day is less tasty Especially the Easy Beef Stir Fry was glomy and limp Eating it four times was not an enjoyable meal I also skipped eating those dishes Left Overs like the White Fish which was dry and rubbery Again I did lose weight and I m quite happy but I attribute some of the weight loss to not eating some of the meals

Objective measure of what I am eating It took me a while to realize that the Tracker is really the true reflection of what I am eating After twelve weeks Meal Planner should reflect which recipes I prefer as far as swapping Wish Meal Planner and Tracker talked more One recipe entered in Tracker doe not show up on Meal Plan

Make sure you are prepared before your start date

Lot of information to absorb before starting Didn t realize that I should have read more - so had to reset a couple times I have diet restrictions for CKD and other issues so I really can t find the best one to follow Do need to realize that you need to be home to do cooking for first two weeks That is very hard to do with busy schedules Had to do a lot of shopping for needs for the mediterannean diet Not a problem but can t get small quantities so it ended up being very costly on a fixed income and can t use up before groceries need to be disposed of fresh veggies fruits Have liked a lot of the recipes - surprisingly good while being nutritious I probably would not continue with this program but have paid for the year and can t get a refund for medical issues

I like that the diet plan includes meal plans recipes and shopping lists It makes no provisions though for us dieters who have chronic kidney disease concerns Also there is no way to cancel the program without forfeiting unused months which is disappointing

Disappointed

While the diet and recipes are excellent I am deeply disappointed in the lack of availabilty of the group coaching and I was pretty surprised the sessions aren t even recorded It serms like a simple fix but a major over sight I just entered the live it phase and the group coaching session isnt available until 12 days from now As a result this really decreases the momentum of staying on track as this kind of support and guidance is essential to success I am already losing interest due to the lack of information available Mayo can do much much better

The Diet Works the App Doesn t

I ve completed the two-week start-up phase It was not easy but I followed all the rules and I lost 9 pounds The program makes sense to me and I believe that I can both lose weight and develop habits that will allow me to keep it off The app however is one of the more poorly written and designed pieces of software--in this or any other field--that I have encountered Cluttered counter-intuitive requiring far more clicks swipes and changes of screen than it ought to and bringing me to I give up I know I ve eaten what I m supposed to If I can t get the app to acknowledge that I ll just have to live with it at least daily often more it is a textbook example of a good idea poorly realized Users would be well-advised to just use the website which induces significantly less frustration The Mayo Clinic would be well-advised to invest some of the considerable money that users are spending in competent coding and thoughtful design

I found the app not to be user friendly

I found the app not to be user friendly and does not connect to many health apps to make it easier to log information The recipes are good but if you are looking for an app that is more intuitive and not as time consuming you may want to do some comparative research

Easy to follow diet

I loved the weekly weigh-in chart which proved motivational I like the recipe ideas and it was easy to understand What would have been more helpful is if there were alternatives presented if the food listed was not your favorite Instead of following an exact recipe it would be good if it said you can substitute which I did most of the time I also didn t want to rely on so many leftovers during the week
