Misleading information on credit application

I am buying a Simba mattress and liked the idea of interest free credit of 1 year The link to the DivideBuy website indicated that Visa credit cards are accepted so I proceeded on that assumption I went through all the procedure including the agreement button I noticed that I was then committed to make the first payment that night Only when I attempted to pay by credit card did a message appear that credit cards are not accepted Not wishing to harm my credit rating or incur charges I felt I had to pay at that time using a debit card as this was after the Divide Buy site had closed down for the night I always pay for goods by credit card for consumer protection reasons so I feel I have been misled either by the Simba link to Divide Buy or Divide Buy themselves I did not wish to cancel the order just the commitment to pay by this method The following day I used the chat facility on the site to try and resolve but was told I was now committed and the only way out was to cancel I believe the site should be re-designed to prevent this misunderstanding happening

We had four attempts before the form

We had four attempts before the form excepted our details When the form finally worked the acceptance was quick and efficient In a nutshell our problems are with the form which seems to have some glitches

Moving into a new house and needed mattress

Moving into a new house and couldn t get my mattress delivered there as they will only arrange delivery for the billing address I find this very poor and unnecessary that the delivery address can t be different to the billing address This is the first time I have ever experienced this when ordering online

All good for 8 or so months

All good for 8 or so months until they decided they no longer accept first direct bank payments or credit cards and offer no real assistance to help pay when the issue isn t at your end This results in a missed payment despite funds being available as they have been all year and likely a negative entry in the credit report Not once called to try and resolve it and I have had to do the chasing and work to try and get any sort of help Will not use again as it s not on when you are penalised for the inadequacies of the companies system

16K NOT PAID OUT

I ve been using DB for a good few years and It s been a pretty smooth journey however recently we ve had a large number of orders and the issues have started My latest set of sat notes got lost in transit I mentioned this to DB 6 weeks ago and I ve still not recieved any payments I understand there s process but waiting 6 weeks for almost 16k isn t a small matter I m constantly chasing DB for an update and sometimes recieve responses after 4-5 days and sometimes I have to sent 2-3 emails to get an update Hopefully this issue can be resolved amicably if it does I d be happy to remove my review

Stopped accepting Monzo without warning

Setting up the payments initially was easy but they have now stopped accepting our Monzo debit account without warning and no real explanation as to why We ve had to set up payments from another bank account Not the worst outcome but seems bizarre from DivideBuy

Monzo and Dividebuy don t mix

I bank with Monzo and for whatever reason dividebuy won t allow any changes using Monzo When my card expired I ended up having to setup a standing order to Zopa and now 3 months into this arrangement I suddenly start getting unpaid notices on my account my bank statement says otherwise I ve wasted time with support and having to jump through hoops to give them the money

Not a very user friendly platform

The online service is not very user friendly as does NOT allow having a different delivery address to payment card address Furthermore does not allow payment with credit card

Failed to take payment

They failed to take payment three times causing confusion with my order confirmation After the third failure I instead paid directly with no issues Frustrating as this has impacted my credit score only to have to pay direct anyway

Unacceptable Contact Times

Contacting me at 4 00am on a Sunday morning and again at 8 30am This is unacceptable especially when their offices are closed
