The camp was not worth it The classes were very boring and I didn t learn anything new I even practiced more my French than my English I still don t believe that the activities were that expensive The staff only checked if we were in our rooms but then during the following hours people would run in the corridors leave my kitchen disastrous and disturb They made no effort to ensure that the rules were followed people would smoke and mix genders inside the rooms After this I would not go anywhere with EF again

Reservation was done specifically with for a single room at Bournemouth Everything paid and one week before departure we are told that finally it will be double room They start arguing about cancellation that we requested based on non respect of contractual obligation Reluctent as well for refunding This is highly unprofessional I think that my lawyers will have fun this summer

While everyone enjoyed the trip in Costa Rica when the group arrived at the airport there were no buses to transport them Apparently they were canceled with no explanation After 5 hours stranded in another country the group loaded buses provided by our school to get home This is my second bad experience with EF Tours and we will never use them again

The school is in a nice location with good connections The staff is mostly friendly Unfortunately the lessons often seem improvised and without any curriculum and not tailored to the students There aren t many activities offered and many of them are poorly organized Finding a good host family is quite difficult Since EF pays the families very little the quality is corresponding

For EF kids are just a number with a dollar sign next to it Their salespeople will promise you the world to convince you to sign-up and invest an astronomic amount of money but when it comes to providing customer service and support when your child is facing a challenging situation zero zip zilch nada

As a host I have experienced very bad communication with EF in Oxford I have accomodated students with only a few days notice at times EF have very poor tariffs for the host family and moreover this time I have not been paid in a timely manner as per contract I have been trying to contact someone regarding this missed payment and all they can say is it s being processed with no time frame I also realised that they underpaid me for a student in August 2023 I have enquired but no response yet Their finance department is in Malta EF are the only school in Oxford with such low tariffs for host families

I am paula anchorena mother of teresita allende The experience was great making friends The problem was with the english course The course was very easy she did not learn english She asked to be included in a higher level and she has to wait 2 weeks until they included her in a higher level It was a great disappointment The final exam has nothing to do with what they practice each day during the course The trip had the purpose of learning english And that did not happened

My experience in New york as a whole was great but that is because me and the wonderful friends I met decided to make it great - despite the terrible conditions and lies that the school and program put us through Some teachers and staff are great and they really do their best to keep this ship floating To begin with whatever length of program you choose subtract one month 6 months is actually 5 9 is 8 and a full year is 11 months This information reaches you in fine print AFTER you ve payed the first deposit Research prices of train tickets etc yourself the information from the program is false and this affects your budget plan The rooms are underwhelming and dirty I watched them clean my room for half a year which is basically mopping the middle of the floor and the table yes with the same mop and taking the trash out Washing machines and dryers costs money and doesn t work I know people that took their clothes to cleaners in the town over because even with the cost of transfer it s worth it to actually have clean clothes If you want to go to bed before 10pm you might get woken up by room checks they bang on the door and comes in turns the light on and walks around with no respect for people trying to sleep Security guards are high and asleep at their post Breakfast is okay as long as you bring your own coffee Lunch and dinner is barely edible half the time we found plastic and mold in our food a number of times Oh and when it says breakfast and dinner included on weekdays all meals included on weekends it s easy to assume you re getting breakfast lunch and dinner on weekends right Nope it s still 2 meals lunch and dinner but they call it brunch so if you wanna get up early and go to the city you re buying your own breakfast The buildings are not waterproof When it rains every window closed has a big puddle of water under it The ceiling was falling apart in a number of places inside the school my friend nearly got hit by falling pieces of ceiling when exiting an elevator All of these issues and many more have been reported since my first weeks by me and all my friends and many more during months and months before us but nothing happens In preperation the staff is very enthusiastic and helpful but as soon as you actually arrive it s like they vanish Again some of them are great and they really stand out because of the lack of interest from the majority The activity-team is single-handedly keeping the spirit of the students up and does a great job of actually tending to our concerns It becomes very clear that the program sees the students as a source of income and they want to empty your pockets It s all about image and they bribed my friends to change their reviews online They do what they can to keep bad reviews in the dark instead of actually tending to these issues It can still be a good experience but you should be prepared for a lot of disappointment and to pay a lot more than advertised and ofcourse spend less time than you initially agreed to pay for

I won t recommend going to EF Miami Several things about my stay were disappointing and in general lacking quality On top of this I have been very disappointed by EF s handling of the situation both the staff at the school but also the staff from the Danish office

My 17-year-old daughter really enjoyed the language classes and excursions On the other hand the accommodation was dirty and she was bitten by bed bugs at the end of her stay In addition she made a mistake in entering the airport for the return and the shuttle dropped her off at the wrong airport but I think it is a lack of seriousness on the part of EF not to double-check this kind of thing especially for minors She had to take a taxi in the end panicked at the thought of missing her flight Not sure if I would renew a stay with EF it was a first for us as we had better experiences with other providers
