Decided to try the branch in Ferndown

Decided to try the branch in Ferndown Dorset for its technical knowledge and must say they were pretty good They checked my water quality and it passed no problem Did not know though the rummy nose tetras that I have were potential fin nippers Something again ill advised by my local Maidenhead shop who said that platys and the rummy noses were fine together I m not sure if the staff in these shops are college trained or just shop assistants but they do vary All in all thumbs up to Wimborne

Ignore the scores

Ignore the scores Maidenhead is a franchise so some stores are bound to be better than others which makes this method of recommendation somewhat unfair as it bundles them all under the one heading I m a regular user of the store in Thornbury I ve probably tested their patience on numerous occasions but have never been made to feel less than welcome The staff are knowledgeable helpful and will more often than not recommend a cheaper alternative where they feel it appropriate to my setup Fish quality is always good however this doesn t mean you can ignore your responsibility when introducing new fish to your tank If you find a good branch stick to it but don t assume the one a few miles away will be comparable They aren t Tesco

I have tropical and marine aquariums stocked by maidenhead I have used a few of the maidenhead stores Hardware as in pumps and tanks ECT are brilliant the staff would help with loading up the car with heavier items Occasionally I have had problems with some fish generally though the stock is pretty good Angels being the downfall here Always knowledgeable and if not certain the staff will ask someone who is

Some reviews on selecting items

Used online as all shop are closed due to covid19 fast dispatch and delivery will have been 5 starts the only reason is I wanted to order some wool filters for a aquamanta efx400 but can only select efx600 no other to select so something that needs looking in to will use online again when needed always use Maidenhead

Terrible experience turned positive

I had a terrible experience yesterday at the Woodcote branch in Wallington I ve been unable to make a complaint via the website as the link doesn t do anything I was then able to find an email on the Facebook page given to another complaining customer One of the only replies given on the page among many comments Having written out and sent an indepth email regarding my dealings with whom I believe to be the manager of this store would you believe it the email has bounced back I am now at a point where I have spent far more time on having to deal with an issue whereby I have been deceived in the purchasing item I don t require and blamed for killing the fish that died within a day of purchase than is acceptable Is this really the only way I can hope get to communicate with someone Please can someone get in touch or provide an email that actually works for me to send this email to A follow up to this review I was quickly contacted by the area manager Chris He listened to my concerns and apologied for my experience He invited me to go to the back to the store to meet with him However I chose to meet him at the Morden branch Chris was an incredible help He gave me and my little ones a full understanding of what was required and helped us with a full set up with a new tank Amazing customer service I can t praise Chris enough for his time and patience We will definitely be going back and getting further help advice and our new fish when our aquarium is set up and ready A awful experience turned into a positive and a great rapport created for future experiences
