I had solar installed around December 2021 so have now had a full year of solar benefit Install and people I have dealt with on the whole have been very good I love having solar panels and the batteries and the benefit it brings But I am left disappointed with a few things Firstly the bird protection around the panels is not really fit for purpose in the way it has been installed It does not cover the whole underside of the panel but just around the fixings underneath which actually means it s a ready made nest for birds wanting a roof over them I now have loud pigeons making full use of this The app for the system essentially doesn t work when it s daytime and sunny the most likely time I would like to see it This is apparently as the tigo optimisers interfere with the wifi of the system and there is no way to fix this other than removing the optimisers I have had multiple engineers some who had never heard of that issue and all unable to help I actually feel I should have more optimisers as I have more panels that get shade and I would have benefited from that Something I should have insisted on including if I had known Overall I think the panels may have been installed in a better way for better energy capture I have very little solar panel capture once it s the afternoon As a result I haven t been able to recommend fresh to friends and family who have used another company instead and now I m envious in comparison with them learning from my mistakes and ultimately getting a better product I want to add another few sentences in response to fresh electrical reply I can actually compare projects to others on many levels One The bird protection that others provide actually works I have pigeons nesting in multiple locations under my panels due to the ready made homes this bird cage provides as it does not cover the whole panel it cost 500 and is completely useless I will have to get another company out to rectify Two Optimisers are provided on all panels with other companies I definitely lose out for not having them again I will need to go to another provider to get these added 3 other companies app work and they are able to monitor their solar system the majority of the time I cannot see this

Make sure you get what you ordered
Installation appeared to go well in June 2022 but no post install paperwork and still no MCS certificate after 10 months chasing The unattractive arrangement of batteries one in front of the other bugged me as I thought they should be on the wall but they look like they were placed like that to hide the fact the rear battery has a faulty LED and there is a screw missing from the front of it It also obscures the dongle which identifies the wrong inverter was fitted without our knowledge Sold as a system that would have an inbuilt EPS but not installed as one so we payed extra for something that we don t have The battery storage sold to us as a good option is insufficient and the winter sun height was not accounted for so we cannot produce any solar from end of october to march on the flat roof They should have been on higher brackets The isolation of shaded panels to prevent performance loss has never appeared to work and I doubt it is there either All round I feel ripped off and wish I had shopped around But I can give two stars as the system we have - despite NOT being what we thought we were getting for 11k - it runs produces solar energy and the batteries do charge discharge We can t export however without the certificate and have lost money I would rather have had more battery storage to fill though No answer to requests or emails and phone calls never get returned If it s all gone right great Just pray you don t get a problem Installed June 2022 - still trying to get it sorted April 2023

Quick installation bad customer experience
The Sales pitch was good and everything was explained in detail They where very responsive when additional queries were made The installation was booked quickly scaffolding was erected and the installation went ahead as planned Everything was installed very quickly and efficiently and the installers were very professional and showed great respect form me and my property Unfortunately they did not bring the batteries as there must have been a mix up in their documentation The battery was installed a week later again quickly and efficiently The paperwork was issued immediately but was unfortuntely not correct as the missing battery was not included and an update had to be requested The panels look amazing and the app seemed to be working fine for a week We are now at month three after installation and the app still does not work It does not show the consumption so we do not actually know whether we are producing any energy The customer services team dealt with it but could have been more responsive and now seems to be losing interest as they believe it should work and cannot explain why it does not So after spending almost 12k we have a great looking solar panel set on our roof but are not sure whether it is working In summary the installation was a very positive experience but customer service requires improvement It is not a acceptable to have to keep chasing a company to rectify a problem regarding their product because they are not proactively dealing with it no sense of urgency no care I cannot recommend this company

Not happy Don t recommend
Not happy The installation is messy - see the large cable untidiness looping over the side Apparently nothing can be done but I don t see this on anyone else s house solar systems They couldn t fit the number of panels quoted nor on all roof spaces Missing parts as a result The scaffolding still remains up some five weeks later blocking a vehicle and truly annoying our neighbours I send an email probably daily to get things sorted usually they just ignore it If you do have other options for solar I wouldn t use Fresh or recommend them to you Wish we had held back payment to them and went with alternative supplier we were quoted by

What hustle
What a hustle no one would return your call back once you did your payment nothing were explained not even how the inverter works and data on its display was told on 3 occasions to be called back and I would get my MCS and DNO by end of the week but no one called back Dan the installer chose the easy instalation processes to get the job done ASAP instead of bringing cables down from the back of the house he droped them from front and left an ugly white pipe on display and left the battery cables exposed by the grage door

Lies and misinformation
Salesman was very friendly when he visited unfortunately pretty much everything he said was rubbish We purchased 13 panels inverter and 10 4kWh battery storage We were told that the panels were German technology and would operate at 100 on sunny days and 70-75 on cloudy days The battery storage was calculated to cover half of our usage Savings of around 90 would be achieved by the system we were told When the paperwork was sent through the savings suggested 50 savings When I questioned this I was spoken to rudely by a bullish sales manager who said either have the install or not there are plenty of others I can give the slot to I was also told to basically disregard the figures on the paperwork as they are based on government figures they have to use which are 15 years out of date this was said in an email and text Once the system was installed the cloudy day operation was disproved within 3 days For this we were had 1000 deducted from the total amount This was arrange via the salesman as the office do not answer phones or reply to emails Once the system is installed they have no interest whatsoever after that Since then we have found out that the battery storage only has a usable 8kWh due to having a 20 buffer This was never explained at the time of ordering if it had been we would of probably added another battery to cover half our usage Took over a week to find this out in the end from the manufacturer as Fresh refused to answer emails as usual When I raised this point I was told that everything was stated on the paperwork the paperwork they told me to disregard and shows no info on a buffer Everything that this company said at the point of sale has been lies When trying to resolve I have just been met with rudeness and bullish behaviour Update Had to raise another complaint as different inverter version was installed than what wast stated on quote This was addressed and sorted quickly and further queries have also been answered quickly Although a rough ride at first things do seem to have improved Just a shame that the correct information wasn t given at quote stage as would of ended up with a more suitable system and a bigger sale

A good product at a good price but poor after-sales
I was looking for a Solar Battery solution to go with my in-place Solar Panels so I sought 6 quotes from various firms The quote from Fresh Electrical was the cheapest by some margin and I proceeded to engage them for the installation of a 7 8KWh solar battery system They were able to install a month later and also offered a 0 finance option so I could spread the cost over 2 years something not offered by all other firms The battery system they installed continues to work fine and I could immediately see I was making savings on my electricity usage Everything up to this point had been fine However a promised additional 5 Year Insurance-backed Warranty on top of the standard 10 Year Battery Warranty offered to me at the point of sale disappeared when I queried it post-sale Disappointing to say the least A couple of top tips when dealing with Fresh Electrical 1 Get the salesman to commit to everything in writing before signing up with them including Warranty options 2 If you need to get in touch with them post-installation don t bother e-mailing it will be ignored Also don t bother with Option 2 Admin or Option 4 Accounts when calling as you will simply get a Your call is valuable to us message when clearly it isn t nobody answers when you select these options Instead you will need to use Option 1 Sales or Option 3 Installations to speak to anyone even if your query is not about Sales or Installations In summary a good product at a good price but a poor after-sales experience

Fairly competent technically communication is awful
I read with interest the very positive reviews Fresh Electrical are getting It has not been my experience My installation was due May 10th 2022 When they arrived the scaffolding had not been booked the panels were the wrong size The scaffolders did install that day and I then had the scaffolding in place for more than two months as that is how long it took for Fresh Electrical to complete the installation One team of installers were great the others were sloppy and unprofessional and the third visit included repairing some of their work I do finally have a working installation though one panel less than quoted for for the same price During the whole of that time they never contacted me I had to chase them for any information It is now October and I m still waiting for the necessary certification to allow me to sell my excess electricity rather than give it away for free Despite my reservations I had an appointment to have a third battery installed today and guess what no installation no call and no one answering their phones

Would recommend to be extra vigilant
Everything was more or less fine People be careful with what they offer and check contract before you signing it because we were offered one thing by in contract was completely different My solar panels have been installed in 2 days with one day apart because they didn t bring right equipment in first day Also I sill have scaffolding in my front garden and part of it in my neighbours garden I have it almost month from before installation and after installation When I contacted Customer Service they told me that the Company who is owing scaffolding is busy and it takes approximately 2 week to remove them on my further emails I didn t get any response

Service is good but the product isn t
The service from Fresh Electrical is quite good to me But I gave 3 star because of the inverter and battery pack s performance My daily consumption is around 6kWh Although my system is over sized and able to generate much more than enough the smart meter still shows 1kWh power consumption each day As per Fresh s explanation it is due to the delayed responds of the inverter So the system draws power from the grid In short even I have over sized system I can only save 83 5kWh 6kWh of my bill
