Grab the money and run

Attention to detail from the fitter Brian C Took his time to produce a first class job Salesman Charlie L was lovely and listened to what I wanted Estimater was very friendly and advised us on different designs in signature range The fitting took 3 days not 2 days as estimated unfortunately it took us over the weekend resulting in 7 days of unnecessary upheaval Flooring finish looks great very pleased with it Would have been nice to have a courtesy call to apologise for the wrongly estimated time for the job and to acknowledge the inconvenience we incurred

Should and could have been a 5-star review

I would have scored Gillies 5 stars if it wasn t for some issues with fitting stair landing carpet panels I also feel email responses to customers should be quicker than was sometimes experienced The fitters were excellent albeit some minor issues outlined above and Gillies restored the good faith through responding quickly and rectifying all issues Could and should have been a 5-star review this time and suffice to say we would absolutely use the services of Gillies again in the future

Disappointed

Beautiful products unfortunately the carpet has a large flaw from manufacturers so will need replaced not Gillies fault Suite delivered next day with dirty mark upholsterer will clean apparently Therefore 2 products out of 2 not perfect so a wee bit disappointing so far Customer services are dealing with both so hopefully things will be fixed In store Ruiridh and Rod were both very helpful at point of sale If no flaws it would have been 5 stars

Dining chair order

Arrived two weeks later than said which was fine but company could have communicated this better - we had to contact them Chairs in cellophane but one very dusty when this was removed Would not expect this with new items Delivery service great and store service great

Very easy to deal with as I d expected

Very easy to deal with as I d expected from previous orders The only minor issue I had to deal with was chasing up the quote after measurement which I think was primarily down to being exceptionally busy during the sale period Other than that fitting on 11th Dec went without a hitch Friendly and helpful staff from start to finish I still wouldn t hesitate to deal with Gillies again

Alternative purchase

First checked our purchase online phoned to book it and all Gillies phones were out of order had to visit Broughty Ferry shop only to find out suite had been sold but was still online for sale Gutted Met our salesman Tom Boyd who did his best under the circumstances eventually getting conformation that the suite was in fact sold He searched all furniture to find us an alternative which he did and we purchased He was very diligent friendly and took us through the whole process He knew his product We are delighted

Super service in the Inverness store

Super service in the Inverness store We were back several times to check measure furniture The staff couldn t be more helpful or attentive without being overbearing The quality of the furniture is generally excellent It was just a shame that we didn t get all our furniture delivered as promised we had to be at home another day for delivery again However everything was eventually sorted after a bit of chasing We couldn t be happier with how our lounge bedroom now looks

Good quality carpet beautifully fitted and all off cuts removed floor vacuumed Finished job great Great job guys

The salesman in the Inverness store

The salesman in the Inverness store didn t pounce like they do in some stores and gave us time to look around He was very knowledgeable about my needs in a recliner chair However there was a call from the Elgin store the day before my delivery and the person who i believe to be called Ross was extremely abrupt on the phone no need for such attitude in sales
