The pattern in the carpet is not matched I am assured that a new carpet is ordered which will not be ready until august I hope Gillies send a different fitter next time

We ve purchased several times from Gillies Aberdeen in last couple of years and the experience has been OK but never great Most recently we purchased Invictus flooring for a large part of the ground floor of our house 1 Misled on the lead times for product availability 2 Mucked around 2 possibly 3 times on the confirmed fitting dates for the flooring 3 Failed to supply 2 of the 4 threshold bars required for the project and then wouldn t order them for us without additional payment which we declined to do 4 Continually had to chase the store for progress updates 5 Some repair work which was identified by the estimator after fitting is now also being rescheduled due to resource and planning issues which seems to be a common excuse Retention of fitting staff would appear to be low I won t be shopping with them again I would advise anyone who does buy from them to be very aware of the risks of the aftersales service as it is in our experiences well below par

Booking and comms were fine in terms of acknowledgement and when I could pick the chairs up When I went in it took me until I got to the 3rd floor for someone to half heartedly acknowledge me When I sent I was there to pick up some chairs is that ok The gentleman laughed and said well they are yours so yes After he had looked me up and down It s a shame as it s a great building with a very good stock however the staff seemed more interested in talking about what they d done the night before than speaking to their customers

I ordered a dining room table back in February and was informed delivery would be in June I was informed a few weeks before delivery that the extension leaves would be 12-14 days later in arriving I received them 15 weeks later Ok these things happen but what really irked me was that I had to keep calling Gillies to find out what was happening surely that was for Gillies to contact me on a weekly basis to allay any concerns that the company might have forgotten about the leaves I had paid for Even when they did arrive I would have thought they would have been sent out to me immediately no I had to wait until the following week when Wednesday was the day assigned to my are for delivery Not good enough will have to do better

On purchasing my dining table after delivery I went to re-position the table to discover that it spins a quarter of a circle and extremely uneven not suitable for hot liquids of its purpose

Wrong items sent ordered black but when opened it up items were brown a little disappointed but this has only happened once normally have no problems at all with Gillies

Shopping for a stair carpet and was advised in store of carpet prices inclusive of underlay Extra 100 premium for fitting a stair was added which I thought expensive but was accepting The carpet estimator measured up and the following day the store called to inform me the cost had went up for my stair fitting as it was tuck and turn This amounted to 3 per step I cancelled my order as I had wasted an afternoon waiting in for an estimator to measure up only to be told the costs had went up My advice would be if you have a premium added for stairs then make it one price and stick to it Less confusion and happier customers as an outcome

Once the flooring department sale was finalised the aftersales from the Aberdeen shop was very poor after a no shows for measuring and calls not being returned by Aberdeen - I spoke to the Broughty Ferry shop and they were fantastic wish I d gone there in the first place won t rush back to Aberdeen after this experience

Electric recliner delivered without power-pack so couldn t be used Took 3 weeks to get replacement Company apologised and providing cash goodwill gesture but amount not sufficient to make me shop here again

Wrong colour combination ordered for Amtico flooring Prior to this was not advised flooring had arrived and resulted in a delay to book for fitting Gentleman serving was quite dismissive In contrast fitter could not have been more helpful or efficient in resolving error in order
