Incompetent
Incompetent We had the misfortune of buying a property using the estate agents Goadsby Southampton At no point were we told the property was a leasehold house not a freehold Either they were unprofessional enough to not know or did not care to find out I find both of these options unsatisfactory We felt badgered throughout the process By completion day I was so unbelievably stressed I could not bear taking phone calls from them The phone calls we received made me feel guilty that I wasn t doing enough Conversations were always lengthy and hard to follow I sometimes just could not understand what we were being asked to do The phone calls were on the verge of harassment We were asked to call my bank to get them to email confirmation that the deposit funds would be released to the solicitors within 2 working days When I called the bank they said that it violated the data protection act It felt like they had no idea what they were doing Why they asked me to do this shows this On the Tuesday before we were due to complete and exchange Friday we were told for the first time that if it did not happen on Friday then it would not happen for another month as someone in the chain has a hospital admission We thought we were merely aiming for this date not that it would delay the process so much I have email threads that just keep asking the same question to me I kept answering as best I could and asking for clarity of what they wanted but they just asking the same question over and over The conveyancer they recommended were incompetent too

Use an alternative agent if you want to sell your property in Bournemouth
A very disappointing experience I m afraid and I would not recommend Goadsby if you are looking to sell your property in Bournemouth There was very little engagement enthusiasm pro-activity or feedback from day one A very small number of viewings and no effort to keep me updated on viewings or discussions with potential buyers One offer was accepted but Goadbsy never demonstrated any commitment to progressing the sale resolving the key issues or addressing any of the enquiries that were raised by the potential buyers This meant a lost sale and a 2 000 solicitors fee Any discussions with my contacts at Goadsby always focused on the easy option of quick price reductions as opposed to marketing opportunities they could put in place to drive viewings and footfall Additional and improved photographs were discussed but again took 3 weeks to implement Too many lost opportunities at a time when challenging conditions require a pro-active knowledgeable and determined agent I m more than happy to discuss this feedback with anybody from the Goadbsy senior management team in more detail if they would like to call me but I doubt this will happen Most definitely not to be recommended Find another agent

Goadsby let anyone have free access to your home
I completed my property on 22nd Feb 2022 in Bridport Dorset On 21st they phoned me to as they wanted keys I said they had 2 keys handed when I asked them to sell my property They claimed I had signed them out I knew I had not They said they had my signature signing them out I went to the shop It was not my signature nothing like They then claimed I had authorised said signatures person to pick keys up for me Which I had not Worrying thing is they had released my keys with address in November I am an elderly lady living alone I hadn t realised someone had access to my home I said they should pay to replace locks at their expense They totally refused

We ve had a horrible experience selling
We ve had a horrible experience selling our house through them These last 6 months have apparently been boom sales time in Swanage Dorset but despite this Goadsby have managed to bungle potential sales play one buyer off against another and push away the interest that had been there Savills in Wimborne contacted me several times offering to sell our property and could not understand why it wasn t sold It s not been sold because Goadsby have a one size fits all standardised approach never keep the continuity of staff dealing with a particular matter Use inexperienced staff who have no people skills allowed their sales manager Gavin to insult and bully us I cannot believe what an absolute disaster they have made of what should have been a simple sale Plus they d put up under offer before any checks has been done Then refused to listen to us and went their own way And blamed us went it went wrong Through them a perfectly good sale has been lost Gutted As another negative review said they will let anybody into your house They allowed one potential buyer to take loads of photographs and have not done anything when we asked them to be deleted GDPR laws and the 2018 Act mean nothing to them Use an online agent anything but seriously avoid them

We have been a tenant with goadsby for
We have been a tenant with goadsby for a few years and up until recently were ok but on leaving our property early at the landlord s request we did so at great expense to ourselves the landlord aided by goadsby have since tried to keep most of my deposit as well for fictitious repairs and to add insult to injury they promised me and I have emails to prove this I would have the undisputed part of my deposit back today and guess what I ve not got it they are rude do not understand the law or promises made so avoid very very poor

Absolutely appalling
We are stuck in a six link chain four of which are with goadsbys They lie they won t talk to you they don t have a clue how to progress things and are having to take direction from the other agent in the chain they are rude and so unhelpful Five months we ve been waiting delay after delay lie after lie It s like walking uphill through quick sand

Pushy estate agent
We felt the estate agent was pushy and rude abrupt to the seller of the house We were waiting outside of the property for 15 minutes and the owner of the property came out and had a chat whilst we were waiting for the estate agent She then invited us in we accepted he then turned up with 2 minutes to spare and was slightly rude that we entered the property without him He then was shocked that we wanted to look at structural aspects of the property such as the fuse board I will never give this estate agent our life s worth of savings And the owner deserves someone better to sell her house

Goadsby outsourced the check out of the
Goadsby outsourced the check out of the property after the tenants left The company they employed did a sloppy job one example being not mentioning the greenhouse at all in their report This meant the tenant could not be charged for any damage to the items not mentioned in the report He could have removed the greenhouse if he d chosen to Instead he just damaged it Apparently it was our responsibility to make sure the check out company did a better job Work that one out for yourself or be sensible and don t use Goadsby and avoid the months of stress we ve had They didn t collect the final months rent We had to fight for that It s anything lazy and easy for Goadsby Absolutely avoid

Wanted to view a property last week and
Wanted to view a property last week and had to chase the office as jo response to on line contact then to be told an offer had been put in not accepted at that time This week booked to view another got to the property and had acall to say the offer on it had been accepted I have more business accuman in my little finger than they have put together
