1 in 3 house sales fall through in

1 in 3 house sales fall through in britain and i think Gordon brown law is a massive contributor to that figure if you pay cheap on the most important purchase of your life these guys will make sure it doesn t happen please if you are buying or selling and your counterpart uses this firm just walk away its their internal policy to drag their feet not bother responding and ultimately doing the bare minimum cases are handled by unqualified people supervised by a qualified solicitor and you ll be lucky if your file is read once a month expect a minimum of 7 months to complete if you even can its a clown show and these guys are the entire circus

Well still waiting for Gordon brown to respond to a number of emails which we have sent regarding our property purchase and still nothing and now had the people who are buying our property getting in touch as Gordon brown have not responded to their solicitors asking for a update All I can say is do the job you are being paid to do so we can all move forward Just had the same response from Gordon brown that I received last week when I wrote on this site How long does it take to read a file Well all parties are ready to move forward apart from Gordon Brown who appear to be in no hurry to get the job done As the party buying our property have contacted us directly to find out what is happening You have no answer for my edit it is Gordon brown preventing us from completing ever one else is ready and this i extremely frustrating

AVOID AVOID AVOID I only gave 1 star as you had to give a star If I can discourage at least one person from using Gordon Brown Law I will be happy Used for conveyancing the most inept company I have ever dealt with Recommended by Purplebricks find a reputable solicitor to carry out your sale purchase or risk loosing your sale Constantly on the phone or trying to them collected majority of legal information required myself as this company are unable and don t understand the urgency required ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE AND A JOKE

Just been told by Gordon brown we

Just been told by Gordon brown we should not be complaining about the lack of service they have provided so far We were told by email on 24 10 that the files were nearly complete but today we have been told they have not even started processing them and yet we are not meant to complain Gordon Brown have just claimed they are looking at our file this is the 3rd time the have claimed to be doing this and it happens every time I post in trust pilot and still no progress

Terrible

Our vendor s are using these solicitors for the property we are buying and they have been terrible Our solicitor has been waiting months for them to return enquiries and when they do they just answer one enquiry at a time We have had contracts ready to exchange for the sale of our house for over a month now and we are still waiting for GB Law to approve documents and answer enquiries I fear that the sale may fall through because of them I would not recommend that anyone use this firm

Atrocious company that s stuck in the Middle Ages

Atrocious company that s stuck in the Middle Ages I engaged this firm to sell my flat but the whole process has been slow and complex To date I ve had zero communication from any solicitor dealing with my case leading me to suspect that they ve delegated the task to an office junior or similar Selling a property can be stressful at the best of times Gordon Brown Law have made the process ten times worse Edit I ve just got the standard auto-generated auto-reply from the company They need my help locating my file apparently Heaven forbid that they might check this themselves

I he bought and sold property all my life and this is the worst conveyer I have ever used Never responds to emails and took 6 months to complete also she knew from day one that the proceeds of the sale had to be sent overseas sh even charged me for currency exchange only to be told on completion date that they don t send money overseas this has caused me untold stress Do not use

I was in the process of purchasing my first home The excitement was snatched away The customer service was absolutely shocking and poor My case was passed from pillar to post and when trying to speak to a representative case handler I rarely got through to reception and when I did I was informed I would receive call backs and never did No response to my emails for 4 5 months Losing documentation that I provided multiple times Took 7 months in total and I guess when it was time they got paid I started to hearing from them Absolutely horrible experience Please be aware

Very slow poor communication

Attempted house purchase has been going on for 9 months I accept some delays have been due to the seller but some are attributable to Gordon Brown Communication has been poor throughout I have frequently been left in the dark as to what the delays have been and never has my input been sought even though I am the client Nothing prepared in advance They request documents and then a week or so later request further documents that they clearly needed at the time of the first request Seem unable to deal with anything complicated

6 months and counting and still they have not managed to complete the sale If you want a turn around thats less than 1 2 year do not use this firm its abysmally slow This company was recommended by Your Move to my buyer for kick back my buyer is obviously a first time one and didn t think to check the reviews
