Used this solicitor couple of times in

Used this solicitor couple of times in the past but currently buying another house and the process has been going on since November We are into April now and this has still not be completed Multiple emails and phone calls over 20 minutes hold on the phone and not got decency to response to any of the emails or even a correspondence email to say we have received your email and we will get back to you when ever If you are looking to sell your property or buying one look for some other solicitor otherwise you would be complaining like myself after few months AVOID

I wish I could give 0 star

I wish I could give 0 star they are the sellers solicitors for a house we are buying they never respond we ve been waiting since Feb for the certified power of attorney to be sent across literally a file attachment that they have Their last response was two weeks ago and all they said was that we will get back to you They lie both to our solicitor and to purple bricks agents when they call them that is off course if anyone can ever get through to them Something shady is going on with these guys stay away plenty of solicitors to use who don t act as entitled

Awful

This solicitors caused us so much stress during or sale and purchase Communication was shocking emails take days and sometimes weeks to be responded to or never at all Every time I tried to call I was on hold for the best part of an hour We had complaints from both estate agents and solicitors about their lack of communication Our file was not checked until 2 days before our move date when issues were found with signatures and missing documents which then caused a huge amount of last minute stress All in all very poor experience I complained multiple times and things never improved I get the impression they have way too much work on and can t keep up with demand Really disappointing

Poor Customer service

We had to use Gordon Brown as we sold through Purple Bricks and unfortunately their customer service is very poor We had to continually chase and were always told Emily Knill was away from desk or in the middle of something Communication is a basic need from a firm when purchasing selling a house Emily s lack of response and inability to update her client caused us far too much unnecessary stress which would have been alleviated by just simply replying or answering the phone Sadly we would not recommend Gordon Brown Law

Be prepared to do a lot of chasing

Unfortunately we were given these solicitors by purple bricks on the sale of our property When our first sale fell through we continued to try and save the hassle of starting fresh with another company I could count on one hand the updates received from this company without me chasing asking where we are and what is happening If left to their own devices they would likely drag their feet for months

I had a very frustrating experience

I had a very frustrating experience with this firm Six months ago I reached out for help with buying a property Initially Lousie Reed replied to my emails but for the last two months I haven t heard anything I missed my mortgage deadline but thankfully my broker was able to request an extension Today I found out that the firm cannot represent me because they are unable to handle cases with Leeds Bank but they never bothered to inform me of this If it weren t for my broker I would still be left in the dark This shows a complete lack of professionalism and communication I strongly advise against working with them as they won t keep you updated if they can t take on your case
