Terrible customer service
This store has terrible customer service deletes order without contacting you and has extremely long wait times for orders I ordered a couch in February 2021 and waited ten months for the couch I was originally told it would take 14 weeks for my order to ship Havertys called or emailed regularly with updates and would say Great news Your couch is arriving earlier than expected when in fact I had been waiting almost a year and every updated delivery date was later and later I called the store in late November and asked if it was still possible to cancel the order if the couch was not going to arrive soon I was told by the store associate that she would talk to her manager and her manager would call me on Monday with an update on delivery time and to ask if I wanted to cancel or keep the order My plan was to cancel if the order was going to take another month and if not I would keep the order The manager never called me Instead the store deleted my order without informing me I only found out because I called after waiting a week for the manager s call back My order was deleted because the store associate did not take down correct notes and simply wrote that I was tired of waiting and wanted the order cancelled No apology or compensation was offered for the terrible customer service I will not be shopping at this Havertys store again

Dissatisfied Customer
I purchased a sectional from Haverty s on August 5th 2021 I purchased the extended warranty for 3 years I have put in a claim in April 2023 for the motor on one part of my sectional to be repaired Today is September 19th and I still have not received the part nor has my recliner been repaired It s been 5 months and my warranty is for three years which will expire soon This is absolutely absurd and unexceptional and ridiculous to have spent money for the warranty and yet I can t get service from the Guardsman Warranty Dept in 5-6 months I purchased my sectional from Haverty s at Lakeline The extended warranty insurance was purchased with Guardsman I have called numerous times to Guardsman 800-482-7340 888-428-3789 800-285-0080 and yet I have not heard anymore from them I have called Haverty s 512-257-9803 and spoke to manager s and supervisor s at the store trying to expedite the situation and I still have not received the part to repair my sectional The sectional has been in a reclined position and stuck out presenting a safety and hazardous situation in my home I am a disabled senior and I have young grandchildren who often visits me and that really has become a hazardous and dangerous situation for me and my family I am absolutely dissatisfied with the Guardsman Warranty Claims Dept and I have spent far too much time and money not to receive better service from them

Haverty s pushes expensive USELESS warranty
Haverty s pushes the Guardsman warranty KNOWING the warranty is pretty much useless It s a scam and if Haverty s had any integrity they would stop pushing Guardsman and work with a different company DO NOT BUY THIS WARRANTY My recliner stopped working in the reclined position around the first of June 2023 I filed a claim on June 7 2023 The service rep showed up a couple of weeks later and said I need a new motor He ordered it right then After a month I called to get the status and was told the part was never ordered They ordered it then and told me to notify them when the part showed up It is now October 4th and my chair is still not fixed and the part has never shown up 4 months with a recliner stuck in the reclined position A birthday party a gender reveal party company for a week and several guests over the summer with a broken chair Their customer service is horrible and the warranty is useless Don t waste your money

Rigid Policies and Indifference to Customer s Concerns
Havertys have a very rigid return policy they do not even agree to cancel warranty for furniture that has been delivered for few days and no claim made Their warranty excludes everything that could go wrong with the furniture it is worthless The Sofa I bought is sinking in the middle and the expert they sent to inspect is not sure if it can be fixed but will try I am waiting for their action I cancelled the remainder of my order due to their inflexible return policy and their indifference to my concerns They could have had more of my business had they shown they care but their attitude is we got your money so we don t care anymore Very short sighted policy Never again

Delivery experience terrible
Delivery experience terrible Purchased a bed and desk in early June scheduled for a July 1 delivery The delivery was missed and received a phone call stating earliest deliver will been the next friday So now a disabled Vet daughter has to sleep on the floor because of Haverty failure

Although Haverty s has an overall
Although Haverty s has an overall quality furniture reputation I am a first-time buyer and probably won t shop there again The salesperson was pleasant delivery was excellent and on time and the living room furniture is beautiful My Problem Their 3-day return policy is unreasonable I bought a 5 400 living room suite and after two months of use the leather is still hard and my buttocks hurt I would have thought the leather would have softened up some by now NOPE Never again will I buy from a store with only a 3-day return policy

Salesperson lied
Salesperson lied and promised delivery on item purchased would be within 4 weeks I called today 3 days from the 4 week date and was told that the order had been delayed and would not be delivered for another 20 days Totally unacceptable as the sofa was purchased for Christmas entertaining Customer service was a joke - offered only to credit the delivery fee They keep my money for 2 months without providing any goods and think that s acceptable Canceled the order and was told it would take another week for the credit to hit my card

Poor customer relations
Have been a customer for years made multiple purchases which were always paid off on time or early A few day ago we were looking to purchase additional furniture only to find our credit card had been canceled Now we understand if you don t use your credit card for an extended period companies will close your account but that wasn t the case at all We actually just paid off the card about 6 months ago Also the fact they made mention of the decision was made based on credit report which it also false because shows we are in good standing with all creditors without one late payment and never been late Though a 10k purchase is just a drop in the bucket to the company as a whole but you lost a customer that exclusively shopped a Havertys for our furniture needs
