Don t trust the prices advertised

Booked a property via this site only to be contacted by the property owner to say the price was wrong and was actually 1000 more expensive for a week Property owner blamed this site but sounds like it s an issue that people have experienced before Clueless all round Avoid

Just booked a villa in Nisaki Corfu for next year paid the deposit only to receive a text from owner saying the price was for this year and not 2024 ok the price went from 1700 this year to 3400 for next year wow also the villa is already rented for June 2024 strange how i managed to book it at all Ah well I ll carry on looking but probably on other sotes

Booking fees are a killer

What went wrong was that first when searching for a house you get given one price in my case 1040 then and this is the part they don t tell you about is that they then added on booking fees of close to 300 bringing the price to 1314 that is out of order This should have been advertised at that price originally so people don t get conned Its atrocious to take such astronomical booking fees from people

I was allowed to book a cabin that was not available The owner said they couldn t cancel and promised I d get a full refund since it has been a couple hours Nope It only offered me a third of what I paid up front Still not resolved It s an absolute disaster and I m sorry I trusted this site Run

False advertising of price and strange booking system

Found a lovely cottage available for our summer dates at a good price so went to book putting in our credit card details but then received an email to say the price had increased - triple the amount that we expected False advertising Very disappointed

Scam Booking BR29568666 We have paid 700 deposit Property is still being advertised on the site and on a more popular one Owner says she knows nothing of booking Cancellation policy is within 24 hours - this is a few days later - otherwise no refund This sounds like a SCAM Thank you for responding the rest of the owner s communication is via Airbnb They are no longer responding to messages sent through Holiday Lettings It s via Airbnb that they say they know nothing of our holiday lettings booking

Major Security Breach

I have been in discussion with their reps in India over the past 4 days It Impossible to talk to someone in the UK even if they are called HL co uk Whilst using their online service the full passport details for my wife and myself have been send to an email address that is not recognises by myself the owner or HL I have spent many hours on the phone chatline email with the company and to date have made no progress Although this is a major breach no one returns emails and any phone conversations are always instigated by myself Given the amount of identity theft that goes on in the world I can not believe how HL are treating this serious issue

We are villa owners and you have to be careful with this company as if you don t renew your prices for the following year they will send guests making new enquiries for the following year the wrong prices with your minimum charge we ve just lost hundreds of pounds as villa owners due to this blip Will be cancelling our contract with them in October Difficult to communicate with team no uk based call centre Absolute nightmare

Health hazard

I booked a property through Holiday Lettings Property was filthy mould everywhere smelt musty dirty plates and cups water leaking under kitchen sink Tepid water We have so many photos of how disgusting it was There was even mould on the bed sheets Exposed wires on the bedroom light stained cushions and stains on sofa the list is endless we couldn t wait to leave
