OMG was just about to book a villa in portugal but was cautious as they want to take your money before allowing any contact details for the person company who own and actually rent the property having read some of these shocking reviews have decided i just got lucky by not booking Sorry to the people who have been tucked up by these people but thanks for taking time to write reviews My advice to anyone looking to book on this site is if you have to part with money before having contact details to double check then don t They tell you no money will be taken at first stage but then ask for your card details I suggest this is not a good site to book on and for the record I have taken the trouble to go back on site to verify my statement and sure enough they want your card details as a priority and if there is a part before that to give you access to owners details then it must be in awfully small print as i can t see it A polite reply is easy but customer satisfaction not so It seems rather strange where your card details are entered it says What our customers say about us but of course these are all 4 and 5 star not 1 bad review Please don t insult peoples intelligence DON T USE is the best advice

Cancelled booking with no warning

We flew out to Corfu on Sunday 18th June arriving at 10pm I rang property manager to ask for directions and he told me my booking had been cancelled on 15th June Not by me No one available with Home To Go but luckily got through to Agni Travel who we found villa through originally They said cancellation came through HTG and we would have to chase them but in the meantime she and the property manager allowed us to stay in the property for one night as it was gone 11pm when we eventually got to there After sleepless night I finally got through to HTG next morning who told us they had cancelled booking as my bank had not paid the balance Why take the balance payment on the day you arrive And why not speak to me so I could contact bank They also told me there was another family coming in on Tuesday 20th June so we couldn t stay longer than the one night So why was I not contacted How did they manage to rebook it that quickly and why has no one got back to me with an explanation Luckily we found another property that was available and much nicer but we have not had our deposit returned Shocking

The fine print is how they get you

The fine print is how they get you They keep your canceled reservations funds So if they give you a bad hotel and you need to leave because the location was not suitable for humans and you cancel hometogo keeps the refund from the hotel This is basically a scam website

We booked a villa in Gran Canaria but cancelled withing the 30 day policy Due a full refund and after following this up 9 times we re still to receive this We ve now had 32 business days and no money has returned to our account

I booked a condo on this site and the vacation rental property never sent me any details on how to get in the house what the code was etc I tried to email them and left multiple voice messages I have been working with the hometogo customer support team for weeks now to receive a refund and they tell me they cannot because they too are unable to contact the vendor DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS AGENCY They will not help you and you might lose your entire rental payment as I have It s a terrible feeling but hope I can spread the word so more people don t find themselves in the same boat

Bad cancelation policy

This company deals with partners that will not give a refund if you cancel with 24 hrs I booked an apartment in the algarve for July I booked it on Jan 22 2023 I canceled it because we had unforseen circumstances happen I was then told that I would not be getting a refund because I had to cancel before the 21 of Jan How could I have canceled before my booking date Some of the partners that home to go deal with are crooks and the site itself should have a better policy on cancelations I recommend not using this site tell everyone

My experience was horrible Upon booking I canceled in the time frame necessary but was never refunded They told me I book with expedia not them which is BS Expedia told me I need a booking agent to get my monies back and I need to pay them for my refund Talk about double dipping the kitty THIS COMPANY IS IN GERMANY AND THAT SAYS ENOUGH TO ME RESPONSE TO YOU I BOOKED ON 6 14 and canceled 6 24 and you want to tell me I had no cancelation period I will be taking action against you to the fullest Your company only takes advantage of Americans I will be filing suit against you I have informed the BBB and next step is my Processicuting Atty I will do everything to show your company is a scam

DO NOT BOOK HERE They do not have a number to contact anyone It s just a recording saying to email them I ve never received any confirmation or anything Thank god I took a snap shot of my booking number so I had proof I paid I highly recommend snap shotting any info you get when you first book because that s all you get Very unprofessional Amber Scott Young Booking number 29725008 PLEASE REFUND ME ASAP IVE SENT 3 EMAILS

holiday rental

Avoid this outfit at all costs I booked an apartment in Playa del Ingles for eight weeks starting January 12 2023 At first all went well and I was impressed with their apparent efficiency They confirmed the booking and took the deposit of 948 euros They then transferred me to their agency partners muchosol which in turn told me to deal with their partners flatguest I have been unable to complete the transaction and pay the remainder of the money because flatguest will not respond to my emails and their telephone number is not in service I have been in contact with hometogo but their response is less than adequate and it looks as if I have lost the 948 euros and there iwas also the huge inconvenience over Christmas I strongly advise anyone not to use this agency

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY After receiving a confirmation a month before traveling we drove 8 hours to our destination only to be told by the owner she had not received ANYTHING about our booking It was summer holidays and the entire island was booked Only through the kindness of the owner calling around we managed to find another apartment and save our holiday I have tried to contact Home to Go three times about the situation and a refund and I have received NOTHING ONCE AGAIN - AVOID THIS BOOKING COMPANY AT ALL COSTS
