Australian dollar quote but connivingly charged US dollar

Australian dollar quote but American dollar was 4700 this was EXTRA and debited from bank account Stay away from home to go which is sub for Expedia I went on a website that s Australian to search for local holiday accomodation in QueenslandTheses are the details the website is au the phone number is in Sydney email is Australian The impression I believed the site is to be Australian and will obviously display price in the Australian currency No where on the website when I was quoted and redirected did it say usd I made the choice based on this to book for 8251 20 but when the money was taken out of my credit card it was from overseas substantially higher and in usd 12980 00 A difference of 4 728 20 On their website they say the price when your redirected the price is correct I requested a charge back from commonwealth bank and provided the screenshots their reply was based on their terms and conditions you agreed to the charge Carelessness I don t think they even looked at the evidence There goes Christmas I could barely afford the original 8k and now it s almost 13k for a qld trip So angry and the help is uselessIt s all deceptive misleading and unethical and reading the other complaints Australians are being tricked and robbed during this financial hard times

Terrible Customer Service

I searched for a specific property by name Somehow it gave me a different property in the same town with a different name As it looked similar I didn t realise and booked it by mistake I realised IMMEDIATELY I received the email confirmation which was only a few minutes later I contacted them immediately and eventually after I had to speak to cottages com and then back to HometoGo they told me they would charge me 60 I then tried On Friday and Saturday to contact them to do this and there was NO RESPONSE except a holding email despite emailing chat room and telephoning them all within the alleged availble hours I still don t have this resolved and it is now 5 days later Home To Go send me to Cottages com and they send me back to Home To Go im so frustrated

Never book with HomeToGo

We booked a holiday house via HomeToGo Initially the payment didn t go through and we were contacted by Hoseasons owners of the property to say that if we didn t pay again within 24hrs we would loose the booking Finally got it sorted 5 days before the holiday start date we received an email from HomeToGo detailing our booking but did not say how to obtain the key I tried calling the helpline an online chat and emailing to no avail A generic reply to the email said they would try to find out I eventually found a contact number for the holiday address myself using the location details After we arrived HomeToGo emailed to say they still hadn t git an answer to my question Pretty much useless Thankfully the holiday house was great and we had a nice time We will never use HomeToGo again

Ruined Vacation Rental

We booked a home for a vacation and three weeks before our trip the reservation was cancelled from HomeToGo HomeToGo showed the reservation still active on their end and we contacted support they continued to pass it up the ladder They apologized repeatedly and then showed us three nearby properties at 3 times the cost of our original reservation We have people flying in to join us and now do not have a place to stay HomeToGo has just shrugged their shoulders and left us stuck in a horrible situation with no time left Response Our booking code was aaf5402-7e1d-4a05-bb7b-d3230f7104fa

Booked a cottage through HomeToGo and it turned out to be completely unacceptable - description on website was not accurate We didn t stay and I immediately contacted HomeToGo They were not interested and even suggested that as they are based in Germany any problems should be taken up with Cottage com the in UK So what value do they add

Scammers

I do not recommend this service They are not resposible for anything We booked a house in Sardenia and did not get a confirmation letter We kept writing to Hometogo and their partners AioSardenia for 3 weeks Most of the times were ignored and insulted They kept our deposit 500 euros If you don t want your money to be stolen and your holiday to be spoiled don t use this service

I hosted a property through home to go

I hosted a property through home to go and had a terrible experience After being verified I constantly received emails asking me to verify my account which I did however I should have suspected it isn t run by professionals I try to verify my account again and again and it constantly fails as if stuck in a loop It doesn t tell you why I haven t been paid from home to go for my first booking so I cancelled the remaining bookings They claim my bank refused a payment however my bank claim otherwise I provide a different bank account and no one responds Still waiting for payment Extremely slow to respond to my emails to host-relations hometogo and info hometogo and there is no telephone support like with air BnB Beware anyone dealing with them as a host or vacationer

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE There is NO good way to communicate with this foreign company They keep passing the buck and will NOT help at all with a reservation STAY AWAY from this horrible company Update And - now I get the exact same scripted auto-reply to this bad review That is all you get from this company Auto replies expressing the their concern for their issues They have absolutely NO concern or interest in rectifying problems they just keep sending scripted email replies saying they will look into the issue BUT NEVER DO

This is a nightmare company

This is a nightmare company As another reviewer said they just pass the buck and you never get an answer Tell you that you can pay balance now but don t tell you how You get an email from HomeToGo and then a conflicting one from the Lisbon site No idea who you are dealing with and they simply try to run out the clock so you can t cancel We are in North America and they don t seem to comprehend the difficulty of visitors who don t have cellular option I am trying to edit review and there is no option to add anything except on the end of this review The booking code was 26618487 Hoping that is the reference number you wanted
