Timewasters

Timewasters I have just returned from a 4 hour round trip from Surrey to JH Group to buy a blue 2013 BMW 6 series convertible Having pre-negotiated on price I went there with the high expectation of buying this car and part exchanging my own and had already arranged my own financing Immediately as I walked around it I could see fairly substantial scratches chips scuffs and scrapes all over the car some quite significant particularly where the doors had obviously been repeatedly opened against something rough like a garage wall When I queried this the Salesman told me he hadn t noticed this which I find very hard to believe All 4 alloys also had quite bad corrosion at the centre One tyre had a chunk of rubber recently torn as it was still hanging on Inside particularly at the rear the white leather seats and seatbelts looked dirty and the front passenger foot mat was frayed and worn This doesn t look a car that the previous owner looked after and the condition was not what had been described to me After only 5 minutes I said I wasn t going to buy the car to which the Salesman informed me that of course there would be marks and things like that because its not a new car I agreed of course but a used car is either in a great condition or otherwise and I had been led to believe this car was in great condition not with many scratches chips scrapes etc and I pointed out that my 10 year old 6 series with 84k miles compared to this 5 year old with only 24k miles was cosmetically in much better condition At this point he simply said perhaps you should buy a new car instead of a used one This was a ridiculous comment and so I left I feel misled and I wasted 4 hours of my time plus fuel Buyer Beware

I recently purchased a 50 000 car from

I recently purchased a 50 000 car from them it was supposed to be serviced and valeted before delivery it arrived dirty inside and not serviced I also purchased the special Ceramic Coating outside on the paintwork and inside on all panels dashboard and seating the outside had long term grime on the body it had not been cleaned before any Ceramic Coating was applied if any The inside was dirty and marked so had also not been cleaned no sign of any ceramic coating anywhere I was also told it had no advisories checked mot advised front brakes needed changing after a bit of wrangling they did pay to get them changed but the rear tyre was down to 2-3mm on the inside and the nearside front tyre was also down to 3mm on the inside I have just had a service done all Fuel Diesel and cabin filters had to be changed showing on the service scan so not serviced by Jack Henry Cars and also advised the rear tyre should be changed as bordering on illegal the first garage that done the brakes also told me this but Jack Henry Cars wanted me to pay for a report confirming this before they would do anything about the tyre but their policy was no car left them with tyres under 4mm of tread must have missed mine the second garage that done the service told me as the mot had only been done 6 weeks ago and I had only done a very small mileage since if they had done the mot it it would definitely have been an advisory to change it and the front tyre an advisory so my advice stay away from Jack Henry Cars I also took the car to a professional company who do Ceramic coating they could not find any evidence mine had been ceramic coated inside or outside when I asked about the coating before it was delivered I was told it was being done the day before delivery and funny enough that was a bank holiday Monday Update 24-06-2023I originally purchased a Ceramic coating option with the car I do not believe it was carried out correctly if at all I contacted Jack Henry and was told to claim off the WarrantyRegarding the Ceramic coating I am confused why should I be claiming from the warranty I purchased along with the car a Ceramic Coating Service and warranty costing 399 00 from you I paid you I believe it was not carried out correctly from indications of parts of the body work and certainly the interior there is no bubbling effect when it rains as it is supposed to for protection if ceramic coated my point is the original coating was not done correctly so it should be up to you to sort it out and correct the original Coating if it was even done as I paid you 399 00 for the Ceramic coating Be very aware of this company they claim to have carried out options that you pay extra for when in fact as it was an online purchase they did not and are not willing to correct their failure before you part with any money be very careful to check you are getting what you pay for

poor service poor car prep poor warranty

Purchased an Aston martin vantage from them like others it arrived with no fuel but that wasn t my main concern after just a couple of days with the car the sat nav screen stopped working the brakes were squealing and the gear changes on the auto were rough after agreeing to take the car to a garage they choose the car was in the garage for 3 weeks The rear brakes were worn to excess and the handbrake seized the car needed some computer work to deal with the gearchange and a new navigation screen upon completion jack henry group started to quote some ridiculous clauses on the warranty terms a document i had not received check it out with them before you buy its not worth the paper its written on they eventually agreed to pay for the nav screen and computer work but not the brakes stating the garage should have got prior approval this is the garage that they told me to take it too and now the garage wont give me my car without someone paying the 800 00 for the brakes which i ended up paying It later transpires that the brakes were an advisory item on the MOT and it had previously failed the mot but they must had fiddled it to pass and ignored the repair They also sold the vehicle with full AM service history but infact the latest service they carried out themselves or claim to have done as the filters hadn t been replaced so perhaps it was just the stamp in the book they did I have learnt the hard way stay well clear and go to a dealer that actually cares Further to the dealers review i would urge them to do a MOT check where they will see it failed at mot on the rear brakes then on the very same day passed downgrading the issue to advisory another example of forging the car history contact me if you want full details Also if the dealer chose to sell the vehicle country wide and as such should take responsibility got any warranty works despite the location They booked the car in to the garage and now are hiding behind the location to state i should get the garage to get approval any spend when they selected and booked the car in is bonkers excusess and for the signed warranty i am still awaiting this you sent me a blank copy be warned

Dreadful experience

Dreadful experience I paid the full asking price for a Porsche Panamera a few months ago but it was me who had to keep phoning them as their communication was non existent All four tyres had just above the minimum tread so today I have had four new tyres put on it only to be told that the rear offside tyre had already been patched up close to the wall of the tyre which is a danger hazard and I was told it could have blown at any moment and I have been extremely lucky When a car of that value is sold it should have four new or nearly new tyres and not sold as a potential death trap They clearly tried to squeeze as much profit out of the sale as they could rather than providing a top class service I had this delivered to me and I handed my old Panamera over with over half a tank of fuel in it enough for the delivery driver to get all the way back as a matter of courtesy by myself My new car had less than10 miles of fuel left in the tank Barely enough to get to the petrol station On top of that they charged an additional small delivery charge because I was slightly outside their free delivery zone This is despite me paying a full asking price of 64 000 On top of that I couldn t find the locking wheel nut which I eventually found in the glove box and not where it should have been All these things may seem little but when I pay that much for a car I expect to be treated in a far more professional manner This is the first car I have bought from the Jack Henry Group and it will most certainly be my last As a final update I was contacted by the owner following my review and offered what I considered to be a derisory amount as a gesture of goodwill considering I had to have four new tyres fitted just months after having bought the car at the cost of almost a thousand pounds one of which could have had catastrophic consequences if I hadn t had it changed immediately Apparently if I had contacted them before having them fitted they could have arranged to have them fitted free of charge at cost price so the least he could have done was offer me the monetary equivalent or close to it This merely confirms that the next time I am in the market for a prestige car I will not be going anywhere near the Jack Henry Group What a pathetic response Trustpilot is often the only avenue consumers have to complain and it is pathetic that you have read other reviews that have absolutely nothing to do with this matter Of all the prestige cars I have bought over the years this service is by a country mile the worst I have ever received Thoroughly unprofessional and merely confirms that your company is one to avoid like the plague in future

Buyer Beware

Buyer Beware I have only just realised this company were on trust pilot hence my late review Purchased a Volvo XC90 from this company for 4000 It was sold to us with an oil leak despite supposedly just having had an MOT A year later we ended up having to sell the car for scrap for 300 We took it to two separate garages and both said the car was riddled with loads of issues in fact they produced an extensive report of all of the faults that would have cost more than the car s worth to fix They also said that bar a couple of minor wear and tear issues the garage would have been well aware of the majority of them at the point of sale especially as they wouldn t have developed in the space of a year When we contacted them by email they seemed reluctant to help in fact they never actually replied to our last email Maybe if we posted a review on here at the time they would have been more forthcoming with assistance So all in all we lost thousands of pounds and a car that we loved We thought we were getting a good deal but it was definitely too good to be true If you are thinking of buying a car from this company I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND taking someone with you that knows about cars mechanic car fault code reader diagnostic tool they cannot be relied upon to provide an honest assessment of the car s condition and the MOT that they do is obviously not worth the paper it is written on UPDATE Thank you for your reply I m not sure if we are referring to the same vehicle as I ve checked my bank statement and the car was sold for 2795 not 2600 as your records show Further I have a screenshot of the actual advert and it doesn t say part exchange to clear I do remember you saying that the couple had part exchanged it but it had a three month warranty and an MOT We simply wouldn t have purchased it without a warranty Regardless I am sure you wouldn t be happy purchasing a car for nearly 3000 and having to sell it a year later for 300 The first garage I turned up to with all of my kids in the car told me he wouldn t even risk driving the car home Not to mention the breakdowns I did send you an AA screenshot which you didn t reply to and money that we spent replacing tyres that were wearing excessively because of the suspension issues

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

I ll keep it short Most car buyers choose a car supplier not because the car dealer is good but primarily because the dealer has the car wanted the inventory JHG have fabulous inventory hence my reason for approaching them to acquire a pretty sweet SL500 I ll keep it short on account that if I go into detail I run the risk of attracting legal action I m that annoyed and irritated at the service received I ve been a conscious consumer now for well over 50 years and by a considerable distance JHG subjected me to the worst experience I ve ever received as a customer Vehicle delivery delayed by more than 10 weeks and not once during the delay did JHG initiate communication to advise status During the 10 week delay promised calls were not received Eventually when I collected the car more than 10 weeks late I found that both key were seriously cracked and one actually inoperable To be fair JHG paid for a replacement key but not without attitude If they receive correspondence they don t like they more or less just ignore it until you the customer send a reminder What should take minutes to address takes days and days and days If you deal with this company check every single detail leave no stone unturned and make sure before you part with your money even the deposit you are FULLY satisfied with every aspect of it Make sure you have a satisfactory exit clause because once they have your money my experience is they will not be the same plastic smiling and welcoming group you first met To be honest based on my experience 1 star is more than they deserved I ve never ever left such a poor review and in truth I m a bit of a soft touch I did wait 10 weeks but like I said JHG for me worst customer experience ever

AVOID

AVOID I purchased a car from Jack Henry when the car arrived we discovered that the seat casings were damaged sharp and jagged so scratch your legs everytime you get in Not sure how they didn t notice these before delivery I advised them that there was damage they told me they would send the replacement parts and pay for the labour to replace them Parts arrived however trying to get a reply from them has been non existent I have phoned many many times emailed and the garage I m using have even emailed them with the quote to fix them No response Jack is always out of office or on the phone he never calls back beware buying from them I ve wasted some much time trying to contact them with no avail No doubt I will get the standard response from Jack stating that if I call the office they will be happy to assist etc etc BEWARE

The Jack Henry Group are dishonest and

The Jack Henry Group are dishonest and irresponsble We have today made an official complaint to Trading Standards They allowed us to drive away in a car that was not safe to drive We found out as soon as we had bought it that it had the following major problems OSR Anti Roll Bar Linkage Broken Near side front CV Boot Split OSF Front Tyre worn Cord visible NSR Tyre very low Rear tyres low Rear Suspension upper arm bushes badly worn Front Suspension Arm Rear Bushes worn Dash light fault indicates an issue with Handbrake not brake pads Scanned Engine Management System for fault codes - 51 discovered across various systems Running fault - suspected to be the torque converter We were sold a warranty that cannot be used due to the fact that all of these defects had not been checked by the dealership prior to sale And now the partnership are hiding behind COVID 19 and refusing to resolve the matter despite still operating their business Do NOT trust this partnership
