Not worth the money

The app is just basically a run tracking app It is not personalized as described on website The nutrition info can be found anywhere online with nothing targeted to personal needs The running tips are easy to find online elsewhere again nothing personalized There are other free run tracking apps available that do the same thing I gave it 2 stars because some people may just want an app to tell them to go run on a good note their customer service was quick to respond and did refund me

I find Joggo overall quite overhyped

I find Joggo overall quite overhyped and not as thought-through as all those ads suggest Maybe I m clumsy but this is not the first workout app I m using but I found the app confusing the replies I got from the team friendly but not very helpful the functionality underwhelming and in hindsight I think I experienced a couple of glitches - but I was so unsure about how to use the app that I kept thinking I must be doing something wrong or not getting it Examples - I would usually not even look at sth like the Joggo app twice because it asked me for my weight-loss goal and I put in something really ridiculous just to see what it would say I m not a newbie to exercise and familiar with how the human body works and while I don t remember the exact numbers I typed in it was neither realistic nor would it be healthy - it was totally fine with that and said I can get there I just really needed a push to get back into running and thought I d try anyway But in hindsight that clearly said NOT A SERIOUS PROGRAM- I expected to get some instructions and a run-through but nope Maybe that s because I was put into an advanced category from the beginning but I d still need to have an overview of what s going to happen It basically started with go for a run now - I opted out of the diet and additional exercise advise but was constantly sent emails and reminded in the app that I should actually opt in and pay more Annoying because I paid for exactly what I wanted - The tracking and map functionality seemed random I switched to Gmaps for my first run and it worked but later the app didn t show me any map at all and switching to Gmaps aborted the run I was then told I can only use the in-built map well and that I need to make sure I have a stable internet connection I live in a big city in South Korea so yeah internet was not the problem - The exercises were only audio when I started out later I could suddenly also see the videos - but again I had no idea I would even have to do exercises until I had left the house and started my run along a public street where I was not going to do jumping jacks etc Have I mentioned already that an OVERVIEW and a RUN-THROUGH would be helpful - My plan that I was somehow not able to adapt to my actual real-life situation with bad-air days and other obstacles at least not without resetting everything as far as I I understood was told contained hill runs even though there are no hills where I live and I had not been asked any details like that - I was told to just skip them I m not an expert a biologist though but if get my personal fitness and weight-loss plan and then don t follow it because it s not based on my actual circumstances what s the point So instead of getting the app to motivate me to get up and run regularly It confused and annoyed me so much that I gave up altogether again Definitely not recommended - although the concept is great but far from being developed to a level where it actually works and is worth the money

Need optimisation

I admit I signed up to a 3 month plan last year and had the same issues as others with the logging in and having to go through a paywall again But to be fair I had no issues with cancelling But I have a short memory and suddenly found myself signing up to a 6mth deal logged in and realised why I cancelled last time But I have stuck with it However Having gone through the questionnaire etc was a bit surprised to then have to effectively start again and it not really be tailored the way it was sold The levels also could do with a start and a finish so for instance Level 3 is you are able to hold a steady running pace for 1min By the end of this level you will be able to run for 3 mins at a steady pace And there is no clear way of knowing how long each level is for Is it a level a week A level until you can do what it says I also think you need to be able to look ahead EASILY as to the time needed to complete the workout I am pretty certain I said in one of the many questions I can t commit to more that about 30mins of running ideally so disappointed that I have got 50mins of running to do But I don t know it s 50mins until the morning of the new week People have work and life commitments and need to be able to plan Give them a fighting chance and not a excuse of not having the time because they can t drop everything for and hour of something they didn t know was needed And I am tired of it not logging what I have done And tired of it constantly saying I have battery management modes activated when I haven t Again people to not have time to faff and it provides a good excuse to not do it as it all takes too long

Failed to meet expectations

I like the inspiration and the use of streaks to motivate I like the weekly plan and meal plans Joggo does head in the right direction and I m loving the ability to get my money back if I run 26 2 miles Joggo fails to meet expectations for a running app My first assessment run had a glitch where the run was never saved right after I was showed my summary I had the run saved on my Apple Watch so I showed it was complete Dealing with the customer service team feels like I m getting the runaround The questions they ask me to investigate are pointless Yesterday almost a month after the fact they asked me if I tried doing the run again What runner would attempt a 50 minute run again just because the app failed to log the run The meal plans are a great idea but I m reality they aren t good meals Steamed chicken broccoli and rice Sorry but you can do better I don t need an app to give me a recipe for that Finally I m sure I ll be on level 9 my entire length of my subscription I started on level 9 based on my first run which I thought was accurate I wasn t a beginner but it s also been 6 years since I ran a marathon so I am rusty In order to test out of level 9 I have to run 4 5 miles in 45 minutes 10 minute miles which I wasn t even doing when I was running everyday So I have the same 2 week running plan for 2 months It s boring and I could use a variation in the weekly plan I could have taken a screen shot of this plan and canceled my subscription after 2 weeks and I m paying 35 for this I better get my money back after these 2 months

The plan was far too aggressive

The plan was far too aggressive I changed to a walking plan and that didn t seem to do anything I quit using after a month and didn t realize my bad for not reading the small print that it would auto renew When ANY of my other apps come up for renewal I get a nice email letting me know ahead of time so if I want to cancel I can Nope not with this company They just charged my credit card which I only check once a month when I pay my bill Because I was charged at the beginning of the month and past their 14 return cancelation window they refused to refund my money I pointed out they are charging me for a full year and I will not be using the app They agreed to cancel it refund 1 2 of my money but since they canceled I am still paying for 6 months of something I will not use or even have access to Just felt a little sneaky and sideways If they have a good product let people know their renewal is coming so they can make a choice to renew or not

I really would like to give this more

I really would like to give this more than 2 stars The concept is a good one however the app is very disappointing I notice that it skips weeks and sometimes while I m running it skips steps in the run I did ask for help from the help desk and did not get the support I feel was helpful I will be canceling this subscription after my half marathon in a couple weeks I m too far in to the training to cancel now

I don t like this app at all

I don t like this app at all It is only good to schedule your runs that s all It does not offer real guidance and it is not clear how the progress is calculated I felt that the planning was way too heavy for my level and couldn t keep up Which brings the question how do they measure and keep track of your level They refer to general slow and fast runs without any guidance and then you are supposed to run xxx Km in xxx minutes How do they measure this based on general fast and slow Not worth spending so much money for an app that doesn t do much more than scheduling your runs

Frequently Asked Questions

Joggo is an AI-powered personalized running application designed to guide individuals from beginners to confident runners. It primarily serves two key demographics: absolute beginners who feel intimidated by starting a running routine and intermediate runners who have previously experienced plateaus or injuries from unstructured training. The app focuses on injury prevention, sustainable habit-building, and long-term enjoyment through a science-backed, gradual approach.

Upon signing up, users answer questions about their fitness level, goals, and available time. Joggo's algorithm then generates a custom running plan. This plan is not static; it adapts weekly based on the user's logged performance and feedback. This ensures the training remains appropriate for the user's evolving fitness and helps prevent overtraining.

The 'talk test' is a method of gauging exercise intensity where you should be able to hold a conversation while running. Joggo emphasizes this and perceived exertion to guide training intensity. This approach ensures users run at a manageable, sustainable pace that promotes aerobic development and fat burning while significantly reducing the risk of overuse injuries and burnout, moving away from the 'no pain, no gain' mentality.

Joggo incorporates several injury-prevention features. Every workout includes mandatory warm-up and cool-down routines. The AI-generated training plan intelligently schedules essential rest days and lighter 'adaptation' weeks to allow the body to recover and strengthen. The core philosophy of training at a conversational pace also inherently reduces stress on the body compared to high-intensity, unstructured training.

Yes. Joggo is designed as a comprehensive coaching and educational platform. The app integrates bite-sized lessons directly into the training plan, covering topics like proper running form, nutrition, recovery strategies, and mindset. This transforms the experience from simple scheduling into a learning journey, empowering users with the knowledge to run sustainably.

Joggo: Your AI-Powered Running Coach for Sustainable Progress

Joggo.run is the digital home of Joggo, a personalized running application designed to guide individuals from beginners to confident runners. The platform positions itself not as another generic fitness tracker, but as an intelligent, adaptive coaching tool that prioritizes injury prevention, sustainable habit-building, and long-term enjoyment of the sport. By leveraging artificial intelligence and insights from sports science, Joggo aims to demystify running and make it accessible and rewarding for everyone, regardless of their starting point.

Core Philosophy and Approach

At its heart, Joggo challenges the "no pain, no gain" mentality often associated with running. The website emphasizes a science-backed, gradual approach to building endurance and skill. A central tenet is the use of the "talk test" and perceived exertion to guide training intensity, ensuring users run at a manageable pace that promotes fat burning and builds aerobic capacity without undue stress. This methodology is designed to reduce the risk of common overuse injuries and the burnout that frequently derails new runners. The focus is squarely on creating a positive, sustainable relationship with running.

Key Features and Functionality

The Joggo application, detailed on the website, offers a suite of features tailored to the individual user:

  • Personalized Running Plans:Upon sign-up, users answer a series of questions about their fitness level, goals, and available time. Joggo's algorithm then generates a custom plan that adapts weekly based on the user's logged performance and feedback.
  • Educational Content & Tips:The app integrates bite-sized lessons on running form, nutrition, recovery, and mindset directly into the training plan. This transforms the app from a simple scheduler into a comprehensive learning platform.
  • Injury-Prevention Focus:Workouts include mandatory warm-up and cool-down routines. The plan intelligently schedules rest days and lighter weeks to allow for proper physiological adaptation.
  • Progress Tracking & Motivation:Users can track their runs, monitor trends over time, and receive achievement badges for milestones. The interface is designed to celebrate consistency over speed.
  • Nutritional Guidance:Understanding the link between fuel and performance, Joggo provides tailored healthy recipe ideas and nutritional advice to support running goals.

Target Audience

Joggo primarily serves two key demographics: absolute beginners who feel intimidated by starting a running routine and intermediate runners who have previously experienced plateaus or injuries from unstructured training. The language and testimonials on the site clearly speak to those seeking a guided, sensible, and educational path to improvement without the pressure of competitive performance metrics.

Website Experience and Value Proposition

The joggo.run website is clean, modern, and conversion-focused. It effectively communicates the brand's value proposition through clear headlines, explanatory videos, and detailed feature breakdowns. User testimonials and before-and-after stories provide social proof of the program's effectiveness. The site makes a compelling case for choosing a structured, intelligent coaching app over generic, one-size-fits-all training plans found elsewhere. It positions Joggo as a long-term investment in health and fitness literacy, promising not just a finished race, but the foundational knowledge and habits for a lifetime of running.

In summary, Joggo.run presents a comprehensive solution for running education and coaching. It distinguishes itself in the crowded fitness app market by prioritizing safety, education, and personalization, aiming to create successful runners through patience, smart science, and consistent support.
