Tech support non existent - Did it myself

I have used Kaspersky for many year probably in excess of 15 and the application has always been fit for purpose I now use Kaspersky total security on 5 devices PC 2 x Android Tablets and 2 x Android phones Up until about a week ago updating the activation code just prior to the current code expiring was dead easy I should say I purchase my codes via a 3rd party provider from an online site and it has always worked So I have 2 licences activation codes ready for our phones but when I tried to add the the new activation code there is nothing on the phone app that will let me do this There used to be a tab top left that took you to the place ti input a new code It s somehow disappeared I was taken down the route of MY Kaspersky which I don t really use but again nothing I set up the new activation code but it told me I had only use 1 of 5 Actually I had use 3 of 5 My Kaspersky looks nothing like the reality of my devices I contacted Kaspersky direct and there Tech sent me on a wild goose chase of something that did not work In the end I had to delete the app and reinstall it NOT HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE Off to AVG later this year

Renewing subscription is not simple

The process of renewing my subscription is always tedious and frustrating The instructions are long-winded and at times unclear I have found this to be the case each time I renew It s time the whole procedure was clarified and simplified

No problem when up and running but

No problem when up and running - Kaspersky software does just what I wanted However the whole process of changing payment and software packages is an absolute nightmare I spent a whole morning trying to sort things out

Awful treatment of existing customers impossible to amend subscriptions

I ve been a Kaspersky customer for 11 years I now have two separate subscriptions because it is so difficult to amend them to add more users and devices I now want to add my wife and they ve asked me to start a 3rd subscription instead of allowing me to combine them all into one A new customer could get this for about 20 per year Because I m an existing customer I would have to pay 120 I asked to speak to their team and received no callback so will cancel all my subscriptions and move to BitDefender as soon as they run out It should be so easy to expand your subscription especially as a long-time customer but unfortunately Kaspersky aren t interested in rewarding loyalty Really disasppointing

God help us all

Firstly customer services are pretty naff The download wasn t straight forward either Kaspersky found incompatible software it kept telling me it was deleted but it wasn t removed as stated It wouldn t let me save the key code because something to do with auto-renewal eventually when my license had expired it accepted my activation code straight away why it couldn t be done like this in the first place probably because it is Russian I have given it 2 stars because of the hassle it brought me As I am writing this yet again an incompatible software has been found yep it s the same one but Kaspersky keeps saying it is deleted after my reboot then it checks again and finds it I give up

Licence Renewal Issues

I usually buy Kaspersky but may change next year I bought a licence for 5 devices 1x android mobile 2x android tablets snd 2x Windows laptops I have renewed the licence on the mobile and 1 of the tablets but am unable to renew the licence on 2nd tablet Each device seems completely different from all other devices and it is far too difficult to renew the licence key Internet security product working fine so far but renewal issues take the shine off

Wished to combine phone laptop and

Wished to combine phone laptop and desktop into 1 payment but nothing on site to help Recently purchased seperate kaspersky for new laptop but laptop had to be returned so i have paid for something I no longer have and again there was no help to transfer this over I always have kaspersky security never had anything else and Im not good at computers however I tried for 2 hours to sort this out with no success

Unable to add extra devices Series of issues

Used Kaspersky for many years Changes in adding more devices Problematical Android phones unable to uninstall Kaspersky and start again Why is it so difficult Codes seem not to be accepted Parallel Technical issues with VPN service that repeatedly locks and have to reboot laptop recently On Android password manager also issues Last year I just used QR codes links and added two phones and a tablet in less than 20 minutes Now I need technical advice

Very poor customer service

The ability to get help via a real person is literally impossible If you re basically computer illiterate meaning you use it for very basic stuff like email and reading new articles your stuck when trying to fix a problem They send an email and ask for so much information then another for more info and it continues over and over most of which I don t even understand what they re asking for You let them know this and they just send more emails that don t help leaving incredibly frustrated What really bothers me is that I don t even know how bad this virus is I m ready to reset my computer to factory settings because of this I would not recommend this product simply for this reason

Does stuff in background you cant see

If it wasnt for the fact that my PC is just for gaming it would get 5 stars Allowing applications through and even using port forwarding Kaspersky kills games that use their own online service I e Elite Dangerous Frontier Hitman ioi Ghost Recon Some EA thing Had to delete it and live off Windows Defender with 2 months left of my sub
