Kumon is form of home learning that works extremely well for my daughter She was struggling with maths but within a matter of a weeks she turned it around She can now approach complex addition and subtraction equations in a logical fashion This has boosted her confidence no end and this is reflected in her school work Her teachers have been amazed at the rate of her progress I marvel at the way in which Kumon is taught because the staff take the time to assess the child in order to ascertain the appropriate level for their ability The program is tailor-made for them and they learn at their own pace The staff are patient understanding encouraging and apply no pressure to make the child learn In fact my daughter is more than happy to complete the work sheet each day which takes no longer than 10 minutes Very little parental input is necessary From my observations when the centre was open the children are very happy keen to learn and thrive as a result The prizes and certificates that they gain due to making great strides in their learning doesn t hurt either The lock down has changed very little as the weekly lesson is done via zoom I would highly recommend Kumon to any parent who has a desire for their child to achieve greatness

Kumon is an excellent system It builds confidence and knowledge Our son has been doing the English and Math worksheets since January 2020 and has considerably improved his Maths and English comprehension skills It s a great system as the student are self taught by the progress in the worksheets All we have to do is mark the sheets with the provided answer books And the tutors are very supportive Having worked in education myself for 6 years I fully appreciate this system as it doesn t need a teacher The tutors check how long it took the student to complete each sheet and how many mistakes they made and decide if the student needs to redo the sheet or move on The tutors assess the student and decides on what level to start the student at At first the starting level seems too easy but it became apparent that it was refreshing my sons knowledge and building on his speed and accuracy of calculations This was building a solid foundation for the harder calculations to come I recommend this system to any parent that wants to give their child a helping boost with their schoolwork and future exams It can seem quite pricy but compared to private school it s a lot cheaper

Corby Kumon s manager and teacher Kim Wilson is very dedicated and extremely helpful instrumental in ensuring children progress through the basic fundamentals of literacy and maths The centre is brilliantly managed and she is very responsive to parents needs I would definitely recommend Kim Wilson s corby centre Parent Dr Lorna Knight

I have a Yr five child who has always been behind in Maths and English I have continuously struggled to build her grades up to where they should be with very little input from the school After much research I decided to give Kumon a go Mixed reviews on line left me very unsure However I can honestly say I can already see a difference and its only been 4 months At the start motivating her was hard so her work was amended to support her ability now she can sit and do the maths and English together without any fuss My aim is for her to work independently and be able to sit a test without panicking The set up at the centre has really helped her with this problem the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable with the subjects For our family it has proven to be invaluable and we will continue for many years My other daughter is in year two and requested to join and she really enjoys this too My only regret is that I didn t find Kumon sooner

I LOVE KUMON It is an amazing place to learn and become the best you can be Yes sometimes I have been frustrated at it because I couldn t play Roblox Eventually I got used to it and now it helps me develop my learning skills even quicker than my school SO KUMON IS A GREAT PLACE FOR YOU TO GET TO THE SKY

My son started attending the Enfield Town Kumon Centre run by Chrys when he was just 6 years old At first I enrolled him onto their Maths programme but decided to try their English programme too After a few months I could see a visible improvement with my sons maths He was becoming more confident and faster with his mental arithmetic number sums fractions he would tell me it s fun and easy English was never my sons favourite subject but I could see that after a week or so his fluency in reading was improving He loved finding information from extracts and ordering sentences into grammatical order It s been really rewarding to see how much he has changed in his abilities The manager Chrys as well as all her centre staff are very friendly approachable and polite My son loves attending the centre and enjoys doing his work Even during the last couple of months my son has not been able to attend the centre due to COVID 19 he had been able to carry on with his work and loves his online Zoom classes that the manager Chrys has provided It makes him feel very grown up

My daughter has only attended for3 month now but her math has improved so much thank you Wandsworth center Rachel

Our boys attended Kumon for approximately 3 years studying Maths It has been a huge advantage to them both Allowing them to thoroughly understand and excel at maths at school Shweta and her team at Pollokshields Glasgow have been exceptional both before Covid but more especially working with the students online during lockdown Whenever either of our boys had a question Shweta worked hard with them to ensure that the concept was understood - then in the Kumon way - allowed them to work through it on their own to consolidate the process The Pollokshields team achieve a great balance of promoting daily worksheets getting the students used to working through problems on their own encouragement and celebrating success Our youngest boy recently left Primary school with the honour of best Maths student of his year Our oldest has just achieved grade A in his Maths Scottish National 5

Hi my son is quite advance in Maths English He self taught reading at almost 2 yr old then He is quite bored for the level at school He kept asking me to give him some tutoring I am not into tutoring as the study should be enjoyable and educational I have done some research about Kumon and went to get more info at the centre Now it has been 1 month I can see my son s happiness as his needs are met He needs discipline and consistency in hardwork When he found it is too easy he will ignore the work He s always a confident kid so I didnt look for that He is now working on his own capability and grows in his own level So far I am happy with Kumon

My 5 year old boy has been doing Maths Kumon everyday for 6months For the hours he has put it he still can not grasp adding and taking away 1 or 2 from a number The Kumon method does nothing to help kids understand and use numbers and mathematics To be honest I do not actually understand now what Kumon is trying to achieve There are small cohort of kids who remember parrot fashion and understand what they are doing For them Kumon may give them practice to speed their mental arithmetic up But it provides nothing else The booklets you can devise yourself or use any mental arithmetic papers or maths games online I really do not see the point of Kunon If you sat anyone down everyday for 15mins doing something eventually they will become quicker or better why pay Kumon for that Besides the deep understanding of numbers that kids need is not fulfilled in anyway by Kumon
