Huge mistake buying from Lenovo Battery Shop

I purchased a replacement battery for my Lenovo laptop Having watch a couple of YouTube videos and taking the proper static precautions I swopped the old battery with the new really easily That s when my problems started I connected the power cord and switched the computer on it rebooted OK but before I had a chance to put in my password it switched itself off I tried a second time and the screen told me that Windows had not opened properly and switched off again I decided that perhaps the battery needed charging so I left it till this morning and charged the battery for 4 hours Switched it on same on off scenario So I left the battery to charge all day and have tried again this evening to start the computer same thing started up and then immediately switched off What I am particularly unhappy about is I tried to reach Lenovo Battery Shop or should I say AolsteCell by live chat and email during the day but but got no response to my question as to what might have gone wrong This evening I decided I must have a dud battery as it would not take any charge so I tried to remove the battery Unlike the OEM battery connection which unconnected and slid away from its connection port with nominal pressure the Lenovo Battery Shop battery would not budge repeating the original successful process Gradually I increased the pressure to remove the battery connection then suddenly the plastic connection block split causing some of the multiple battery wires inside the block to break away what a disaster I eventual manage to ease this connection block away to remove the battery but unfortunately in breaking whilst being removed it has left bits of plastic inside the metal battery receiving block soldered to the PCB board and I am unable to remove them which means they are preventing me sliding the old battery connection block back in and in doing so reconnecting my old battery What a complete nightmare which is now probably going to cost me considerably more than the cost of the new battery to get my computer repaired I am seriously fed up and wish I had never bought this dud battery from Lenovo Battery Shop Lesson learnt never buy from a company who do not have a UK landline which they answer to offer technical support

Company advertises batteries as compatible with Lenovo laptops The batteries they sell are not always compatible My T480 detected their battery as being non-genuine and refuse to charge it

Faulty battery dodgy returns process

Generic not genuine battery came nicely packaged with tools but - once installed - it failed to charge took over a day to reach 90 I asked for a refund but they asked me nicely to test it multiple ways After several hours over several days we established it was a faulty battery not my laptop I ve since bought another battery elsewhere which has been fine But that was when my problems really started because the returns process was really suspicious Firstly they asked me to wait beyond the statutory - and then beyond their own corporate - claim time limits I risked it and they partially honoured the refund eventually but still it s not very professional reassuring The problem is that I don t think residential customers are allowed to post lithium batteries in the UK At all To any battery supplier Companies are controlled packaging condition but individuals are not risk of fire explosion in transit if damaged Consequently this company try to get you to post it surreptitiously rather than take the loss on the chin and write it off and ask you to recycle it So that s a faff I risked it knowing myself that it was undamaged and carefully packaged in all its original packaging and more It arrived fine However all that was a lot more time effort - and risk - on my part So after several weeks and lots of time effort worry I d eventually got the duff battery back to them They did refund me then but not the return postage even though we d clearly established that the fault was with their product - and they d said they would When I asked about the return postage they apologised and said they d credit me which they did but minus a transaction fee We re only talking of being pennies short of my full refund now but after all the time effort worry I d been through to jump through the hoops they d asked I really felt they should be giving me some compensation even a credit voucher if not cash - certainly not penny-pinching Nevertheless I emailed them one more time and asked nicely for the pennies to be credited - nothing more - but for the first time didn t receive a prompt reply just the automatic default email acknowledgement Over a week later still no credit or refund or reply hence this review In summary by all means take a risk on them but their returns process is dodgy and my battery for one was faulty Update after reply I ve checked and the refund is still short A fee has been deducted from the postage c12 so I m still out of pocket Second update They ve now tried to made good the shortfall - although their process still left a very small deficiency but it s just not worth following up any further

I have had the same issue as a previous

I have had the same issue as a previous customer they have supplied the batteries recommended one doesn t fit and after several emails Max has requested I Wait15-30 days as they have warehouse problems and then he will give me a returns address I too will be contacting my credit card company if this is not resolved

Didn t take or hold a charge and it took 8-10 days to arrive Probably best to shop locally on these things if you want a straightforward refund or exchange

Deceitful Company

update even the reply is missing vital information on top laptop batteries can only be shipped if attached to a device for all uk companies for us public You have to dig into terms and conditions to find this out by which who is going to when they recieved the item in the post in the first place If we receive it why would we think we couldnt return it Why would there be two types of batteries with two different part numbers I ordered my part number which is L16L2PB3 what my batter actually is but according to you I should have ordered a completely different part number L16L2PB1 I was assured that I would receive a replacement if confirmed as lost then you retracted Even trust pilot at the top is telling us your deceitful in your actions on here Never left a review on this before but so angry with this company Ordered my part number received my part number but with different connections Turns out there are two batteries two different part numbers with different connections but my part number isnt the correct part number even though its MY part number seems they have made a mistake labelling Returned the item Got lost in post Said would still send the replacement correct battery if indeed lost Totally lost refused to send out correct battery told to contact courier laptop batteries are prohibited items with all couriers in UK from what I can now see so there is no refund or compensation able to be claimed Who would know this whe item is delivered in the first place Seller would know this and should have provided and charged a label for instances such as this Contacted bank can t help as was PayPal which I didn t know Return address different from address PayPal have so tracking was always invalid Lied to me clearly know what they are doing if something goes wrong they have you all ways to not refund you if lost in transit

Still waiting to hear from them No Emails No contact number 2 days it says usually to ship a battery In 24hrs ill be contacting PayPal and Visa as this is not a proper outlet just some scam front

Refused refund of unopened battery

I bought a battery from these guys I took the battery and my laptop to a laptop repair shop to fit it whilst doing a repair However the shop found the CPU was dying and that the laptop was on its last legs So didn t install the new battery and advised me I could return it to get my money back I emailed Lenovo battery shop and got an out of office reply Then a few days later got an email refusing a refund because I bought the battery over a month ago I had it for about 5 or 6 weeks That seems very harsh to me And I d much rather shop somewhere that had a bit of grace with their customers

The product is fine

The product is fine but I am disgusted that the company refused to deliver to my address I had to get it delivered to my son s house near Edinburgh approx 100 miles south of where I am they used Evri for the delivery - Evri also deliver in my home area EVERY DAY but this company claimed they did not have any delivery service in my area

Received battery ok

Received battery ok highest charge was around 55 now down to about 39 40 only been using it for about a month very disappointed will probably have to replace in the near future John
