Cheating customers again and again

Despite appearing to be value for money Lidl is actually quite expensive thanks to their unethical behavior Basically anytime they have fruit or vegetables on special they throw in old gone off products with a few ok items It s shoddy dishonest misleading I ve no doubt they re not the only ones but it s not right I just had to throw 60 of the mandarins I bought today in the bin as they were soft and smelled like they were gone off

Recent visit to Lidl Carrick both hands full with a basket and a bag Asked 2 members if staff if someone could assist me with 4 x large plastic storage containers I wanted to buy One said if need to get a trolley Essentially no I can t help dressed up as a redirect The other said too busy As someone with an invisible disability I left very disappointed

Appalling

Everytime you go there the special offers on the app are unavailable sold out Not sometimes EVERY TIME Lidl know EXACTLY how many of any particular item they sell on a regular week they also know how many customers each shop in every store and can easily predict how much uplift stock they will need for a particular offer They don t do this because they use the special offers to get people in the door fully knowing they won t be available Disgusting

Just in store in ballvolane cork picture on app shows 25 discount charged full price managers attitude was terrible told contact customer service if I wasn t happy Told me to check serial numbers on each item for discount People are constantly being overcharged if they don t check receipt

Clonmel Lidl Basket case Manager

Clonmel Lidl Hadnt the means to buy bags for all the pasta and rice i purchased nor had i change to go out and get a trolley so i attempted to use a blue basket Unfortunately as I was carrying the basket out the alarm went off to which the staff at till roared down to me that i couldn t take the basket I asked politely if i could speak to a manager to explain that i just wanted to lift the trolley to my car and i would bring it back immediately The manager wasnt having any of it and repeated over and over that he had to do paperwork everytime the alarm went off I found it bemusing when he grabbed my basket and rolled it back through the security scanners to demonstrate this Wont he now have more paperwork to do He then took my basket full of shopping and rolled it to the stacking area and said there was signs everywhere Found him to be very hostile in the act of taking the shopping i had just purchased away from me and found it a bit demeaning to be yelled at I wont be returning

Beggars outside make shopping a nightmare when on a tight budget Beggar outside lidle greenhills said he only pesters people for his drink and cigarette money It s well for him Makes a visit here very uncomfortable

Lack of safety disappointing management

If I could give 0 stars I would Today a staff member sped through the aisles with a large pallet Slamming into the basket my 7 year old was luckily pushing in front of her Completely ignored my daughter abruptly said sorry I didn t see her and sped off I was also pushing my 3 month old in the buggy whom could have been hit and was a bit shaken up by the whole thing I wasn t happy with how it was handled and felt I should talk to the manager before I left Low and behold the woman that hit her was the manager Still didn t adress my daughter didn t ask if she was okay and was too busy to show any humanity or concern I would have been happy with some sign of being sorry and a simple apology to my daughter but she didn t give two shits Will not be returning

If I could choose no star I would Got my Christmas turkey opened it today Xmas eve to cook and it was gone off Date was 27th December Rang customer service and asked if I could change it for a new one they said I would have to buy a new one And then sent me 25 money off voucher with my next shop which did not cover the price of the original turkey I don t shop in Lidl just got the turkey so voucher is useless to me Really bad service

I bought a toaster with a three year

I bought a toaster with a three year warranty in january 2024 It crashed flashing light etc in October I returned to two local shops got wrong information Eventually told to contact Customer service They told me I would be contacted within fourteen days I am now two weeks without this item and still waiting This service is a disgrace I will be contacting consumer rights if its not resolved very soon
