My most expensive and disappointing app

Buyer beware You are forced to buy the game twice when changing between devices from android to pc for instance eventhough they claim that you don t have to and provide useless download links to all kinds of devices To date I ve spent over 300 dollars on the game between the actual game realms subsciptions and a modest amount of in app purchases So it really kills me having to fork out an additional 30 dollars so that my kid can play minecraft on his computer Customer support is absolute crap They close tickets before resolving anything so you are forced to contact them several times They don t read what you write either so after you writing that you are logged on with the correct email and the latest launcher etc you are advised to log on with the correct email and use the latest launcher They also ask for screenshots after you ve provided them no less than 3 times Everything they write is purely copy paste answers so you are better off troubleshooting by yourself on the internet or talking to the bot on their helpdesk site The problem is that this particular problem seems unsolvable save for throwing money at the problem A solution which truely sucks because the idea of giving more money to a company with such poor customer service a company which has sold its integrity and everything it stands for just to make as much money as possible just drives me crazy But so does writing endless pleas for help to customer service just to get nonsensical answers in return

Microsoft Minecraft ignoring support emails threating to delete account

Microsoft Minecraft have ignored my last three support emails regarding their threats to delete non migrated accounts later this year Each time they have closed the ticket before I got a response other than an automated wall of text telling me how to migrate I purchased Minecraft in 2010 well before Microsoft purchased the IP At the time I was promised that I could continue to access the full game forever with my purchase Microsoft seem to have decided not to honour the original terms of sale requiring me to migrate and in the process accept a whole new bunch of terms which are detremential compared to the ones I originally agreed to Now Microsoft is saying they will delete the account and permanently remove my access to software that was sold tome with the promise of being able to access the full game forever and continue to ignore any support requests I put in

As someone who has used computers from

As someone who has used computers from command line days I thought it would be easy to install the thing and get playing it It s a grim experience and we may have paid nearly 40 quid for the WRONG version for our kid Maybe they need to actually get some UX people involved It s so difficult to actually work out what to download and when you have the software on your computer Microsoft laptop it s unrelentingly confusing to know what you ve got I ve spent a couple of days talking to other parents to work out what to do I ve never experienced such a confusing idiotic environment We STILL don t know if we ve bought the right thing PLUS we still haven t actually been able to use the thing Am thinking of contacting our credit card holder and complaining - it s that bad an experience Guys you need to make the install process rational and simple and not some kafkaesque nightmare

Ruined Minecraft

I have experience with Minecraft for over 10 years it is a well made game and very fun to play BUT with the new chat reporting system your paid account could go down the drain very easily even if you say certain common words that are tagged as offensive and are not examples are found on google or YouTube I will give some examples West Sword shot Out of fear I RARELY use the chat in Minecraft multiplayer not normal

Extremely poor customer service

Extremely poor customer service The website password reset doesn t seem to be working and after some correspondence with a rep bot who only provided canned unhelpful responses they closed my ticket without resolving my issue at which point I could no longer correspond with the rep So I had to start over with a new ticket and I guess we will see if the new rep is any more helpful
