I don t feel like the membership fee is worth it I was invited by my school to join because of my academics what about the students that can t afford the fees Students profiles should be based off their degree and goals so they can join NST groups in that area The social media NST s where no help After completing the steps to induction how many students still follow up Yes NSLS offer scholarships but it s rare to get one

Honored fo be selected but what now

I m excited about being selected and happy to recieve my regalia but I was told I should have it yet as I have no he inducted but it was part of the acceptance procedure so that s been confusing It would also be helpful to get an email about upcoming dates to be available for completing the induction procedures I graduate this semester and have much to do for practicum so I need as much notice as possible Also- the app on android does not work I ve downloaded and tried 3 times It will not recognize my password

Pros and cons think carefully

For me after joining I have not seen much blessings come I paid alot to join a society I was nominated for due to amazing grades I have not received any scholarships or grants yet However this has helped build my confidence gain more leadership skills and my employment likes to see it I have learned while I have not seen much from it Employers DO like to hear about this and congratulate you

I dislike that the weekly speakers are politically left-winged and or uber-liberalistic

I dislike that the weekly speakers are mostly left-leaning and or progressives -- most pushing an agenda of uncommon ideologies Try to present a more BALANCED presentation of opinions rather than ostracizing half of your base To say it s off-putting is an understatement I watched the required amount for certification and haven t watched once since

It was very inspiring everything thing was done in a professional and timely manner and nothing was done without keeping me informed I had a good nice experience with NLNS

Could Have Been Better

Would have been better if the chapter I was in did not rush the induction ceremony and was not transphobic to me dead name on the sign in list despite my name being on everything else Also do not see the point in requiring me to stay on campus to watch live-streamed lectures speaker events as this poses an accessibility issue due to time constraints transportation and what one is physically capable of

Not Disappointed

They don t explain up front that you have a series of steps you have to complete BEFORE induction However it has been an educational experience working towards induction I m not disappointed

Great communication

I have not been an active member because the meetings online are usually during my classes but I appreciate the email updates of when meetings will happen and how to continue my membership I will do better to incorporate it into my schedule I received my package quickly and the products were of great quality

A five star four experience

The only reason for not reaching five stars is that due to my doctoral degree pursuit I have not had time to fully engage with some of the progressive activities which would ve provided the next level of participation and eval as a fairly new member Otherwise five stars
