scam
I am disgusted by one medical I signed up for a membership because they advertise virtual care which i need because of my remote location I had a brief zoom appointment during which time the doctor told me I could not get care without driving 52 miles to the nearest one medical office and therefore she couldn t help me I immediately cancelled my membership A few weeks later I received a bill for 460 Just for being told I couldn t get help Unbelievable

We got charged 800 for a pregnancy
We got charged 800 for a pregnancy test in Oct 2021 The test was negative However my wife was indeed pregnant They said they would then run the bill through our insurance which never occurred Then finally without notice they sent us to collections OneMedical does not put our health or financial health first Corporate profits and greed over the Hippocratic Oath

I saw my provider
I saw my provider and he referred me to their mental health plan because I asked for my ADD medicine That is a system set up to make weekly sessions with a provider who is not licensed in my state he is in Florida and I am in California Then he refers you to a mental provider who then refers you to a psychiatrist for medical advice and then that doctor informs the PCP In the meantime each video visit costs 600 to healthcare and an in-person visit costs close to 800 This system is designed to make as many appointments as possible while setting up appointments with providers I did not select myself and on days times I am not available I HATE this

One Medical Profits Over Patient Care
I had been a One Medical member for over a decade but have seen a serious decline in service over the past few years and ultimately cancelled my membership recently over a billing error which was the last straw I was in for a visit a few months ago and then was charged out of pocket for the visit I brought up the error with One Medical and my insurance company Despite my insurance company confirming almost 3 weeks ago that One Medical used the wrong billing code and even AFTER the insurance company reached out to One Medical to fix this issue One Medical still asserts 1 their bill is still correct and 2 continues to demand payment from me despite my insurance company already confirming I owe nothing more which they also confirmed with One Medical itself One Medical has also been very slow to respond and very condescending when they do respond I am disgusted with the practice and will never go back It s too bad - 10 year ago it was a great practice but they ve since prioritized profits over patient care which is glaringly obvious from this experience

Concerning business practice
Concerning business practice My insurance completely covers a preventive annual check up no deductible etc I went for the annual check up and when the exam results came back the doctor requested a call over zoom to discuss results I accepted it and we went over some items from my blood tests I was then charged full price for the zoom call as they did not deem it a continuation of service from my annual even though it was to go over the resulting blood tests The call was requested by the doctor to review the results how can they claim it was separate from annual check up and denied any attempt to discuss I never have experienced this with any provider and if this is going to be how they do business then they should at least notify patients that they charge for going over annual check up results We need to call out companies with these business practices or they will continue this type of behavior I had high hopes when I joined the membership with my family and sad to see the results

This company has no business in health care
DO NOT GO HERE What started out as a great experience turned horrific once Amazon took over They have NO CLUE about the Healthcare industry Here s my story AT FIRST EVERYTHING WAS GREAT I left my PCP of over 20 years because I was promised excellent and attentive service - which I totally received at first I was able to speak directly with the office both by phone and through their patient portal I was able to get same day or next day appointments Most of all I was pleased that the doctor s assistant who they call a health coach was present at every appointment to take notes and allow the doctor to focus on the exam And my health coach responded at all my inquires WITHIN MINUTES which beat my PCP s office who took Days to reply I thought I had found a GREAT practice WHERE IT ALL RAPIDLY WENT TO CRAP My original doctor left I met with the new doctor who was OK not great but I was willing to work with her Then out of the blue I learned that ALL CALLS now go thru a call center Then with no warning i was assigned a new health coach She took over 7 days to reply to inquiries made thru the patient portal They referred me to a specialist because of abnormalities on my blood tests Even though they made the referral they never sent the blood work to the specialist and it took me DAYS to get a confirmation that the test results were ever sent The appointment at the specialist was pretty much an expensive waste of time because he did NOT know exactly why I was there When I tried to get a resolution I was bounced from call center to call center with no progress The last human I spoke with was defensive and unwilling to do anything other than schedule an appointment which they could bill Medicare for Bezos and Amazon are screwing with the health of America s senior citizens They should probably stick to delivering packages

Amazon One Medical horrible customer service
I was notified that several doctors in a medical practice I had been seeing for years were joining One Medical I contacted One Medical to make an appointment for my annual CPAP checkup I inquired and was told I did not have to pay the 199 fee for app access etc I proceeded to make the appointment I received an email confirmation on February 23rd for the appointment on March 4th I received a text message on March 3rd asking me to confirm the appointment which I did I showed up for my appointment 5 minutes early as instructed and checked in After sitting in the waiting area for a few minutes I was called back to the front desk I was told then and not before then that I was not a member of One Medical and would not be seen until I completed my membership I was given a phone number to call and after being on hold for several minutes waiting for a response I had had enough I was able to speak with my doctor at the front desk and was told he simply couldn t see me unless I was a member I left the office and was later able to get through to someone to complete my membership I gave my name and date of birth and the representative immediately found my information She then proceeded to try to sell me the app access etc for 199 per year When I told her I was told that buying app access was not required she backed off the sales pitch and apparently checked the box that I had endured the sales pitch but refused to pay and my membership was now complete She then transferred me so I could reschedule my appointment but I again ended up on a long hold After several minutes I looked up and called the local office number but was again dumped into customer no service So I drove back to the office The front desk was able to immediately see that I was now a member and a new appointment was scheduled I am going to keep that appointment and then find a new provider Failure to pay Amazon the One Medical 199 annual app fee means you will have to call an inadequately staffed office to make an appointment No thank you

Horrible since Amazon took over
The doctors have been great The entire rest of the experience has been horrible since Amazon took over You can no longer speak with your local office on the phone You get sent to a call center where they have 0 idea whatsoever how anything works My husband and I have had the same insurance for over 4 years He received a message today that his insurance was invalid When calling to get the issue corrected they accused him of being a scammer because I am the primary account holder and my name is on our insurance They could not resolve the issue and were very rude
