Defective Tire Chain
To those who would consider purchasing Laclede Chain s tire chains My wife purchased a brand-new set of Laclede tire chains from O Reilly Auto Parts for a brand-new 2020 Ford Explorer We took a trip to Mammoth Mountain in California in December 2022 On the trip we were required to install and drive on the tire chains In route to Mammoth one of the tire chains broke and chewed up the felt fender well on our new SUV Additionally the remaining tire chain links broke loose and tore up the remaining fender wells O Reilly Auto Parts sold my wife the Laclede tire chains reportedly designed for the 2020 Ford Explorer However when confronted regarding the defective tire chains O Reilly Auto Parts store employees tried to blame my wife for not purchasing the right size for our SUV After talking with the store manager O Reilly Auto Parts we were able to get a refund for the defective tire chains However we now needed to file a complaint with Laclede Chain to repair the damage to our Explorer that did not even have 6 000 miles on it The warranty claim was reportedly submitted but I never heard anything back I engaged with the O Reilly Auto Parts store manager on multiple occasions with no updates Finally one year later I must pay for the replacement parts myself totaling 707 in repairs All I ve asked was for Laclede Chain to make it right and to repair the damage to my vehicle but they were unwilling to try or even contact me regarding the issue The O Reilly Auto Parts store manager stopped communicating with me as well Therefore based on their unsatisfactory business practices I will never buy nor recommend that anyone buy any Laclede Chain products They are unwilling to standby their product and pushed the cost of their defective tire chains on to their customer me Lastly Laclede Chain may not be solely at fault O Reilly Auto Parts should bear some of the responsibility as well for two reasons First they may have sold my wife the wrong part and its employees did not verify the accurate tire chain part number to ensure they were not at fault Second the O Reilly Auto Parts store corporation should carry some form of insurance to protect its customers while forcing its suppliers to maintain reliable insurance and warranty policies These items were not reflected in my current dealings with O Reilly Auto Parts Finally after a year of trying to make it right I wanted to share my unsatisfactory experience with both organizations Furthermore I want to caution anyone in need of auto parts and more specifically tire chains to rethink purchasing items from both O Reilly Auto Parts and Laclede Chain There are more reputable organizations that will carry insurances and warranties to protect both their customers and their corporations I urge anyone and everyone to purchase their automotive needs from those businesses and not O Reilly Auto Parts and Laclede Chain Respectfully sent Tracy

I took a lock gas cap back cause it wouldn t lock they told me they can t take it back cause it smelled like gas well you can t resale something that don t work in the first place I spent a lot of money with them never again

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM Their company policy is no refunds on shipped items Which means If you bought an item or items no matter how much the shipping is wether you actually get the item or not you will not get a refudn for the shipping you paid Even if you got a defective item I had the store order me something Never got it and the store manager Troy wouldnt give me a refund I had to call corporate Corporate called the store talked to Troy and corporate told me to go get my refund I drove back to the store didnt say a word Just handed teh recipt and Troy knew aht he was todl to do Troy was told by corporate to issue me the refund cause the item I paid for was on back order and no one could tell me when or if Id ever get the item Troy thought it was funny when I first tried to get teh refund and get this he sais OH well here is the corprorate number when I told him Id call his boss if he wouldnt give me the refund Apparentyly Troy things stealing peoples money is ajoke and that his boss woudl take his side Troy ripping me off for the shipping on a 13 dollar item Huge million dollar company and this idiot couldnt issue me a 7 dollar refund for the shipping They should let him go I had to take half the day and several trips and phone calls to several stores to get this refund NEVER GOING BACK Thanks Troy Douche Bag

I think time changed they refused to install the battery I bought in the store even after I told them they did last time so over price without installing So lame I did at Walmart for the half price and they installed my battery everything happens with a reason I won t visit Oreilly anymore Thanks for the warning

I purchased brake-pads and was told that they come with lifetime warranty and or free exchange I have done this in the past with my other vehicles This time my brake pads were not exchanged and was accused of trying to sell them elsewhere if exchanged Who does that Will not purchase anything from them if they can not stick by what they say for warranty

Horrible customer service
Horrible customer service My father and I went in to purchase replacement light bulbs for my headlights There was only one other customer in store at this time They did acknowledge us when we walked in It took 3 associates to help just one customer who wanted to return an item I bet we waited for at least 20 minutes and no one would offer to help us We walked out They said to us on the way out that someone would be with us soon What a lie They had absolutely NO sense of urgency to help a 2nd customer

Ordered steering pump w my car vin MrZ gave me wrong 1 Called stated I needed 1 w sensor He stated that was the 1 for my car They did not have 1 w a sensor The Mechanic researched looked it upGave me the pic stated it was at there warehouse I returned it the same day 3 hrs later for a refund He stated it would be bac on my card end a day Still No refund the next dayThen he stated it would take 1-3days I stated I will never buy fro them unless it s cash def not Michigan rd location All other workers Always were able to give me correct parts In past An he act like he had a attitude Cause he did not know how to research the right part Either lazy or do not know how to properly look up the correct part Still no refund He may not even know how to properly do card returns Never took debit cards this long long to post back to my card He needs to go back to the store he came from He def does not knows customer service or what he is doing I disputed it w my bank also

This store sold me a defective can of auto paint They would give me no choice but to exchange it for another can of paint I did not have time to repaint my car after picking up another can They would not give me store credit or refund my money I wrote to the corporation with a copy of my receipt and photo of the messy can I did not get a response from the company

Waste of time ordering online with O Reilly
I placed an order online for my Daughter so she could go to her local store and pick up a battery I placed the order at 11 56am called the store Manager about the order and my Daughter headed to that store to pick up the battery But when she got to the store the order had not been finalized through O Reilly online and required me to call an 800 number to proceed all in the name of SECURITY they claimed It is not up to O Reilly to decide how I pay for the order that is between me and my credit card company With the thousands of dollars my Husband and I spend yearly at O Reilly and have this issue arise means we will NEVER buy anything again NAPA is right down the road

Entered the store in Weslaco TX never greeted I woke up Mario at the counter and interrupted his daydreaming I guess I asked for wiper blades for my Prius and asked if he could install to which he grumbled something back under his breath to which I was sorry I stopped here I paid for the blades and he let them set on the counter and started waiting on everyone Hispanic that walked through the door I grabbed the blades and walked out thanking him for NO service OK Back to Amazon from now on
