Microsoft PearsonVUE proctored exam 160 - Zombie proctor

Paid proctored exam 160 proctor collect all data including phone number in order to contact me if some goes wrong during the session exam duration 150 minutes after the first 30 to 40 minutes I have already answered at almost 70 of questions suddendly the connection drops the interface does not let you access your network connections I wait no one calls the exam close itself after 2 minutes without connectivity no one call me I try to interact with the website chat and customer care phone number none of them is able to put me in contact with the proctor and they open a case 3-5 business days to answer UNBELIEVABLEProctor disappeared not reachable not able to restart or resume the exam worst service I have ever seen and I have dozen of certifications achieved already I have spent 10 calling the UK customer care number 800 numbers are not reachable via mobile and the only landline one in europe is in UK 20 minutes call in order to open a case which last 3 to 5 buiness days to be handled Other exam vendors such as PeopleCert have real proctors that handle the exam experience from top to bottom being in charge from minute 0 to the end assisting customers Both the customer rep apologized for the inconvenience but they did not solve the issue at the time it was happening Exam appointment time 8 15 GMT exam real start time 8 25GMT exam duration 150 minutes exam interruption at roughly 9 05GMT I was able to talk with the representative only at 9 15GMT after waiting 10 minutes on the web chat queue I decided to switch to the customer service number which is not exactly super simple to find on the website finally while I was dealing on the phone even the web chat queue arrived at the point of handling my request I can t accept at all of having my exam fee lost for a drop in connection while the proctor did not do 1 thing to address the issue she totally disappeared Case numbers 0235985102359860Edit 10 11 2018Deadline to answer 3-5 business days is already over I have got standard emails answer Thank you for contacting Pearson VUE We understand you are anxiously waiting for our reply and we kindly ask for your continued patience We apologize for any inconvenience and will be in touch soon If you have any further questions please contact us again From my side I don t see any real move in any direction I will keep the post updated so I can show you how issues are handled PersonVue Edit 14 11 2018After 12 days since the case has been opened and multiple attempt to have an update after the 3 to 5 business days answer threshold I have finally got the opportunity to attend again the exam I feel happy about that but it s just the perception because looking at how much time I spent and how much I got angry for it well it s not definitely a victory By the way I hope the proctor role and responsabilities within Pearsonvue will be improved Thank you

Happy with them in the past currently need better preparation and help

6 12 20 I ve used them before and no hassle however this time around I m quite irritated at scheduling my test I ve already scheduled a NREMT exam and was emailed to reschedule it When I call they are closed until Monday and I ve tried getting in contact with them via the online chat but after waiting for 20 minutes I see I m kicked off I try again again I wait 20 minutes and am kicked off I m trying to reschedule my exam that s currently for next Thursday It s quite irritating to comply with your deadlines as well as others if I can t get through I would reschedule it myself but no other months or dates are shown I try other testing sites and the same thing happens 6 16 20 I ve tried online chats but it always disconnects after 20-30 minutes Yesterday and today I tried calling today I was able to get in touch with someone My first time calling today I was on hold about 15 minutes before someone answered she was nice friendly tried resolving my problems We were talking and then when it got quiet I figured she was looking up testing sites my phone was still on the line I checked again and again no reply After an hour of waiting on the phone you don t want to hang up because just getting through is tough I was connected to the NREMT call center Where my call was hung up on because due to the high call volume they aren t accepting calls The girl I originally spoke with at Pearson Vue never came back on again with me to check or let me know the status My second time calling Pearson Vue I was on hold over 35 minutes I hung up My third time calling Pearson Vue today I was again on hold a while almost 40 minutes I finally heard it start to ring after a few minutes of it ringing a man answered and helped me He tried to reschedule my test but my authorization to test is expiring and th dates he gave me were months out I m awaiting reply from the NREMT how to move forward Getting ahold of them has been equally tough

Just call customer service Forget emailing them

Here s my experience with them so far I made the mistake of misplacing the test passed form which they only give you on paper Email isn t an option Their site provides a request form for that with an email to customer service Did that Never got response after 2 weeks Repeated email request Did get a response wanting my address after the first form said only provide address if your email is unreliable or info had changed so I didn t Also wanted more info including candidate ID number Provided all that and have waited 5 more days later no response yet Website is an example of how NOT to do customer service It says the fastest thing to do is click chat It s not there at all But if chat is offline it says then I can call I click my location and it says customer service is open for windows every day of the week But then when I called on Sunday I got a recording that said to call Mon-Fri It s as if frustrating the customer is their actual point Update I called customer service to get this resolved I spoke to a rep who spoke good English and ultimately got my problem resolved although I had to wait a couple days before they put my results on their site for which I had to create credentials then download my test results page Although I just asked the rep to email my results to me I got the page I needed But in the big picture the process was frustrating and time consuming If I had to do it all over again I d just call customer service and ignore the whole email process published on their site

Rescheduling a test shouldn t be this difficult

I ve taken at least a half dozen tests at various PearsonVUE testing centers around southern Arizona I ve never had an issue until now That s why I m giving 2 stars rather than 1 I scheduled my Uexcel exam at the UofA s testing center on Friday When I arrived I was told PearsonVUE s system was not working and they wouldn t be able to administer the tests So a room full of people just gave the test administrator our info and went home I called Pearson later that evening and nobody answered after being put on hold for about 15 minutes I sent an email to my schools test administrator telling them about the problem and asking what I should do It s currently 11A M on the following Monday Nobody has contacted me regarding the problem I m on hold with PearsonVUE customer service right now 26 minutes and counting I sat waiting for an online chat representative for 30 minutes with no response I estimate the fees associated with taking these tests have amounted to about 500 With fees that high I expect better customer service This problem should not be this difficult for them to handle If they have this much trouble handling something as easy as rescheduling a test I m surprised this is the first time I ve had a problem 33 minutes on hold

I took 2 Azure exams with them and passed both Having said that the experience was absolutely horrible and if it wasn t for Covid I wouldn t take exams with them anymore The technology seems old When the proctor contacts you the window appears and covers a big part of the window You have to wait for any message to appear And the proctor frequently needs a looot of time to type their message too The time is scarce and -5 minutes can play a role Also this communication is disruptive When the message appears it s even worse I got contacted because I dared look at the window once or twice sorry during a 2-hour exam it s impossible to have your eyes on the screen 100 time I got contacted since I covered my mouth when thinking for a moment I got contacted since I mumbled some case studies were very long and it s difficult to understand them pronouncing silently some words helps There s no pen and paper available So you have to e g figure out the right DAX formulas without writing them down They tell you to have a cell phone nearby in case they want to call you but you re not allowed to have it within your arm s reach So when somebody calls you you you have no way of knowing whether that s the proctor and you should pick up or sb else and your exam will get failed when you answer Horrible experience

Do NOT use onVUE

I have taken online exams before with other companies and it always went smoothly so I thought it would be fine this time too I was wrong Booked an online exam and made sure my setup was fine by running the test No issue On the day of the exam I started the software the network check failed a first time even though I have the fiber but worked on the second attempt I closed down all the other running apps as required Proceeded to check-in All good And then as I was about to get the first question a pop-up appeared saying that they had detected a process running in the background and my session was revoked What do they expect of course there are loads of processes running on a Windows computer What are we supposed to do uninstall all the apps I called support a first time Couldn t hear a thing of what the dude was saying due to awful sound quality because the person was obviously not used to speaking english Called a second time Sound quality was better but the lady was barely more intelligible that the first one I hung on and managed to go through her checklist of questions she doesn t really talk to you she just reads a set of questions I finally got a case code and I am waiting for an email as far as I understood How can a company with 97 bad reviews can continue being trusted by so many companies Oracle I beg you change your online exam provider --- Edit ---I got a confirmation one day later that I will be refunded for the test which is nice I obviously don t want to repeat the experience though so I ll take the test in a physical test center instead

First time exam ever I thought I was prepared I went through numerous practice tests and was averaging 90 for CCNA 201-300 Vol 1 and 2 from Cisco Press I also attended the official video course from Cisco which I do not recommend as numerous stuff is left out I was ready UNTIL I walked into the room with this horrible white noise generator I could not concentrate and did not pass I couldn t tune in out in my brain I am going to wear ear plugs next time or take the test at home online I am really pissed about that white noise generator I have since then gone back looking for anything documented about this white noise and nothing written down The equipment worked Ergonomics for a large person were poor If you are going to provide a 8 5 x 11 white board then provide sharper pens or go with a Ansi B sized white board so those dull marker pens are useful I expected better accommodations for 300 Not impressed

The exam was for CPA Australia semester 2 2020 Bad experience with the provider Experienced technical issues logging in which took 1 and a half hours before starting the actual exam - it was mentally exhausting Note the I completed 2 successful system test before the exam The poctor was a distraction during the exam and non responsive when asked a question Bad customer service - wait time for offshore reply about 30 minutes Experience was stressful No doubt there was an impact on performance Upside is the exam format interface was a replica from previous CPA exams No technical problems during the exam Not recommended

Was 96 150 questions through CAPM

Was 96 150 approx 2 hours in questions through my CAPM online proctored exam from home today Suddenly your proctor has closed the exam due to irregularities I am then shut out of the system Turn on phone and await proctor call nothing Finally get a customer service number for them to tell me they had a systems fault and I now have to wait 3-5 business days to check what happened No confirmation on reschedule nor refund hope they realise that some of us have to take time off work to sit these exams absolute joke

Just had the worst experience with

Just had the worst experience with Pearson VUE I have given exams for most of my life but never encountered the issues I did when I gave it on this platform The proctor directed me to reboot and relaunch my exam and nothing happened There wasn t even a mail sent to me regarding this inconvenience and 0 sign of apology SaS as a company should not affiliate itself to such an incompetent company Highly disappointed I don t know what was harder the test or logging onto your servers Kindly reschedule my exam or give a monetary refund
