Unsafe practise

Prosperity Wealth attempted to sell me a one bed flat already occupied No mention of any costs e g whose responsibility the building repairs sat with and at what stage in the contract ground rates management fees - nothing was proactively mentioned When I asked where these costs were factored in and how the contractual terms would be arranged right before I was about to transfer my deposit etc the company went silent 10 days of radio silence a strange phone call assuring me more information was on the way followed by nothing more inspired me to search online Turns out there was a previous class action on the property - Reasons for the actions among others - not disclosing accurate information on the costs involved with owning one of these flats e g ground rates and management fees and buildings needing considerable updates once built Avoid - a business who is not upfront about their position in the market or the costs involved with investing is not to be trusted

I have recently invested in a flat nearby Liverpool

I have recently invested in a flat near Liverpool my own Solisitor has been warning me about the fact that all monthly payments are NOT protected by any sort of insurance policy if the company goes into bankruptcy I will not b able to get any money back Very worrying situation The company doesn t have any sort of guarantee of our investment

Don t be fooled They re corrupt

This company is absolutely terrible for a number of reasons Firstly they are in it for the money their in house broker is clueless and they have no regard for their customers whatsoever The whole company is so driven by money they have no understanding for basic human needs and communication The property prices are all plucked out of thin air and then inflated by the CEO to fund his flashy cars and watches They sell properties with no planning permission and sometimes don t even tell the salesmen there s no planning permission I have had friends invest with this company and they ve lost thousands upon thousands Don t be fooled They re corrupt

Prosperity Pfft

Just had my 90k property bought through prosperity wealth valued at 15-35k It s literally ruined me financially and mentally You may get lucky fair play but if you don t you re in financial hardship for the rest of your life Please think carefully before you make this seriously precarious gamble I believe the positive reviews but if they re wrong you are utterly broken Try to do the same through someone else I am utterly lost along with another 60-70 Investors in this company who we are joined with in a class action suit The lawyers advice was don t go after prosperity as they will just fold they are very expendable until they reopen under some other name and go after the lawyers who endorsed it If that doesn t fill you with confidence nothing will Please heed my advice this company is just dirt

Compliance could have been better

I was a client of prosperity wealth for eight months At first things went smoothly and I was very happy with the choices the adviser made Then he told me he d be leaving because he didn t like the company being taken over by Fairstone and he d be starting his own company I thought nothing of it until it transpired Prosperity Wealth knew nothing about it If it hadn t been for me double checking after this adviser turned up without telling me what he wanted to discuss and then trying to get me to move over to his new company prosperity wouldn t have been aware It transpired this new company would be run by the adviser and his family so I dodged a bullet Thankfully my investment platform has advisers and I transferred there very quickly but not before Prosperity attempted to get me to stay As for Fairstone see my review of them I ve waited till this sorry episode was done and dusted before posting Now I know they re going to demand my reference number etc but they should know who I am from this experience So today I get a request to remove it because I m supposed to have reviewed the wrong company Rubbish Prosperity wealth was brought into Fairstone in July 2023 I dealt with this adviser from 2022 It happened on their watch and now they re trying to use it onto Fairstone One less star Why can t they be honest They employed the guy not Fairstone and he had been there for some time before Fairstone There s much more to it than this All I m saying is don t employ whole families they firm cliques

Very disappointing

Prosperity were recommended to me to an introducer and it was suggested that the best deal would be to buy a two bedroom apartment for 70 000 on the 50 50 deal 50 would be paid over a two year period through instalments with the remainder paid off through guaranteed rental income over 5 years This sounded great but being cautious I emailed the company to get confirmation that all was true in their glossy brochure Having set up a standing order besides checking the website for updates to make sure the property was being renovated I didn t think too much about it apart from when I received the occasional email from the solicitors Three months before my last three payments were due to go out I received an email for the full outstanding balance with wording from Prosperity that if I did not meet the payments before the completion date then I may lose all the deposit I had paid The wording was disgraceful and is no way to treat customers I decided to pay off the balance as I assumed that the 5 year guaranteed rental period would begin and the property would be paid off quicker At this point there had been zero correspondence from Prosperity relating to the change in the agreement and the withdrawal of the third party company that were providing the guaranteed rental income It took numerous emails over a period of 4 or 5 weeks to get some clarity on the situation I was of course devastated by this but I remained patient as I was promised that my apartment would be rented out soon It s now been 8 months since completion and my apartment still does not have a tenant in place On top of what I have already paid I am paying 200 a month in council tax service charges and ground rent What looked like a great investment has turned into a disaster On top of this the property is not worth the 70 000 I paid for it
