Excellent products and service but very poor you have to pay for a return and cannot exchange so to get next size up in a pair of gloves that cost 22 it cost 4 to return and then had to re order

I Bought 3 different Rab jackets and believe me or not all 3 had problems with the zip lock it would split from the bottom which is very very annoying to say the least never buying another Rab jacket thats for sureEdit Replaced crap zip lock that came with Rab jacket payed 45 to replace that POS of a zip lock jacket seems to be alrite will add an extra star

Used a half-price code to wash and repair a Rab down jacket that had been torn during a bicycle accident It was 6 weeks before a trip that I needed it for and turnaround time was stated as 4 weeks Unfortunately none of the Rab system worked successfully - I couldn t use the coupon code with the order I was making on the website as it didn t recognise it then the repair card they posted to me which I could easily have printed off to save the postage never arrived so I had to organise to print it out anyway and send off my jacket in the hope it arrived at the right place I received no notification that they had received it so had to follow up it s an expensive jacket so I was worried They then had it for 5 weeks before contacting me about it getting repaired which cost three times what I d budgeted for after checking the website - I d stated that I was happy with the repair tape but they said they had to replace 3 panels on the sleeve one of which was on the inside which had not torn during the bike accident They sent photos and it was unclear that there was any damage to the inside I d had to borrow a coat off my friend for the trip I needed it for and had more trips upcoming so just paid the fee because I wanted it back at that point They then emailed to say it would take 3-4 weeks to carry out the repair from that point which was astounding However instead it arrived the next day which because I hadn t been told to expect it for 3 weeks I missed because I wasn t in All in all a complete palava and I will go elsewhere in future The actual repair itself was perfect and it did come back very clean Every time I contacted customer service they responded quickly and efficiently I just don t think I should have had to contact them 5 separate times and wait double the expected time as well as pay more than expected for what was a pretty standard repair

My partner and I have been fans of Rab equipment for some years - to the extent of even buying two of the same thing in different colours The style colours and fit both suit our walking and hiking It would take a lot to turn us away from Rab But it s taken only a zip Well three zips in fact In the last year we have had one zip fail and can t be replaced on a jacket that s just 2 years old Now a second and third zip are having problems One of these jackets is 18 months old the other about three maybe four years old Now with cheaper brands I d shrug and say wish I d bought a Rab But Rab products are relatively expensive and certainly well above the average This isn t acceptable and rather than go for Rab we are finding for the replacement for the first jacket we are looking at a variety of other brands first We might still buy a Rab replacement but it s no longer an automatic choice To say we are disappointed is an understatement A further issue with yet another jacket is that the opening at the very lowest seam where there s a cord with toggles for tightening the lower edge of the jacket there has to be a technical term for that ripped very easily To be fair the repairs done to that jacket also for a tiny rip in the sleeve were quick and excellent but I m not sure if that was done by Cotswold or Rab Listen up Rab confidence in your brand is shaken If you cut costs and make inferior products other customers will move on too

I bought a Rab Kangri jacket just over two years ago It at the time was the best decision I could have made for a replacement all-weather shell garment Now two years later it looks like I will have to replace it It has been looked after to the n th degree It has suffered no physical damage It has always been washed proofed in the recommended way using the recommended liquids but it is leaking in several areas and no longer fit for purpose I am an OAP and not into mountain climbing or similar but my regular walk is some 16 miles and - when weather permits - I could be doing that 3 or more times a week I wear a rucksack over the jacket but who would not be I wear a 40 year old watch I ride a 25 year old push-bike But in this day and age of technology for technology s sake a top range - top money - jacket will only last a couple of years
