Earlier in January 2021 I phoned this company and requested a Green Deal quote for insulating the loft of a terraced domestic property in Coventry this included bringing the loft insulation The loft area was empty less than 20 sq metres and was to be topped up to 300 mm I was quoted a price of - wait for it - 975 Outrageous No other company that I have phoned has come anywhere near this rip off price My only conclusion is that it appears some companies are taking advantage of the Government s Green Deal and consumers will have to pay a larger amount of their percentage with rip off price like this According to the Energy Saving Trust the typical cost of loft insulation in an average semi-detached house is 300 Depending on your home this could be more or less the price goes up to 395 for a detached house and down to 285 if you live on a terrace This might be an expense but the savings are significant I shall definitely avoid this rip off company

Well not sure at the moment they come and talk the talk but after a few weeks now we no more than one day they may come I m just thinking now about contacting others that do the boilers etc they promised to put a boiler in insulation Rang a number of times so at the moment I would not recommend up date still nothing And it s niw 23 August this started on the 13 June Finally on the 19th of September we have a boiler was fitted well not happy with the factors It states that there was Fernox and it wasn t was power flushed it was not please go through all your paperwork and check every detail and watch and make sure they put it in and flush your system They also put a compression isolation valve on the central heating That s not really correct to do the timing thermostat has problems with it We re waiting a reply we won t get one I know so be aware check check check I thought I d checked everything

If I could put no stars I would my auntie had a boiler fitted by this company It is not been correct since it was put in It keeps losing pressure which could only mean that there must be a leak in the system somewhere the system was never flushed out It never had the fernox in it The clock doesn t work correctly comes on as and when it wants certain radiators turn off when there s no need for them to turn off because the room is not warming enough I was told to put the controller in the most warmest part of the house which would never work in the first place This is becoming a little bit more of a cheap boiler equipment and scamming off the government grant They re not interested They ve waited 2 to 3 weeks to come back They re still not going to be coming back until the 16th of October This was fitted on the 19th of September yet again got to go on top the boiler up with pressure yet again I would not consider this company to anybody The after-care is absolutely diabolical at one point I was told they actually will not come back at all on any circumstances by one of their colleagues is a disgrace that the 76 year-old has to keep ringing me up luckily I only live across the road to go and keep topping the boiler up these boilers are cheap fix to a major problem with these boilers Do not touch this company The after-care is absolutely diabolical I ve sent them pictures on there WhatsApp and they ve totally ignored them Not interested They were more bothered about taking photographs of a radiator just to make sure they got their funding I ve investigated all the pipework and found that the radiator in the lounge is leaking having to top it up They WhatsApp message they ignore I have telephoned the council as they are the ones that provide the funding

Well thought we may had been able to put this to bed But sadly not New rad was supposed be be fitted today but canceled it now got to wait another 4 days 76 year old and the radiator at the side of her is not on as they made it leak from day one it was put in now not on at all and the amount of time it s cost me is far to much

Waste of space Cancelled my install halfway through the day they were meant to turn up A year later I have a still not had remedial works done After a failed inspection Still no EPC

I was referred to Jake Barlow at RMS Energy Solutions by Grants For Home Improvements gh4i I had qualified for a grant and Jake was sent to do a survey In MARCH he turned up and because the property may need planning permission he did not do the survey He promised to help me with whatever was needed to do the application Despite providing Jake with the diagram requirements I received no response resulting in an incomplete application that cost me hundreds of pounds I informed Jake of this but no action was taken After following up after a number of WEEKS of silence Jake finally informed me they couldn t proceed due to scaffolding access issues on my road Apparently this had been decided weeks previously but they hadn t told me He had also told GH4i that the case was closed so they assumed I wasn t going forward However after consulting local councillors I provided Jake with clear photographic proof that scaffolding across the road is a valid and commonly used solution here in the village Jake acknowledged this and said he would pass it on to his team That was July I complained to Gh4i in September Jake was included in the email correspondence He has not contacted me It s now NOVEMBER and I ve got nowhere If you use RMS please just make sure Jake is not your surveyor He just doesn t give a toss about you

Prompt and polite Quoted over a thousand pounds on top of boiler grant money from government for boiler swap Didn t realise I was in building trade Not justified

I was recommended RMS from a friend for external wall insulation I was promised that my job would be approved even though a survey was not done I had limited time on my GHG voucher and urged RMS to get things rolling Delayed my job and finally unable to get it done Staff were misleading If i do get the voucher again will not go back or recommend

As a landlord they were contracted to fit new storage heaters in a flat After a survey they then completed the work On a visit I discovered that they had not replaced the one in the hall Unbeilable that they told the tenant to leave the door of her lounge open which would then heat the hall I emailed them on this never had a reply I then contacted them by phone and spoke to Alex He said he would look into it and has never got back to me I have a feeling that they have done this work under a grant and I can t find out from where It seems that they have charged for the full job but have not completed the work in full I trust this review may stir them into action Update still no reply emailed returned So now wondering if they are still in business So I sent them a recorded delivery letter with a return address So that will tell me if they are still trading If anyone reading this has any idea who pays them these grants that would be helpful I have a feeling their workmen kept the new radiator knowing perhaps they were going out of business Next step I guess is trading standards
