Mixed feelings

The Mansfield branch of Sainsburys handles our deliveries in north Nottingham Unfortunately they are routinely out of stock of several of the items we regularly buy When we go to the local branch in Arnold the missing items are normally available It is frustrating that the Arnold branch has lost its Click and Collect operation - this was really helpful the alternative is only at a couple of inconvenient times of day I also feel that the delivery charge of 4 50 is too high All this said it helps us as OAPs to have the delivery of the bulk of our needs

Not enough staffed checkouts

We like Sainsburys prices are more competitive than they used to be Online shopping is easy and the delivery drivers are very friendly and helpful In store shopping is just becoming a pain because of the never-ending push for self service and lack of manned tills Don t think we ve used the self service and not had it trip up over some item or other Then you just stand and wait for an assistant to sort it It s just penny pinching

Two Sunday deliveries were troublesome

Two Sunday deliveries were troublesome One was delayed from morning till late evening while the second delivery didn t arrive until the Monday This was NOT to do with recent tech issues but driver sick days The soft fruit especially but all fruit generally is of poorer quality and goes mouldy quicker than in the past It is not as good as Lidl s

Order pickers and packers

The order pickers and packers are not particularly mindful of the items they pick and how they pack them Bananas mostly have to be sent back as so badly bruised and bread so squashed it can t be used Surely more training should be offered to ensure all ordered items are received in an acceptable state Otherwise I m fairly happy with the service Orders arrive on time and the delivery teams are friendly and helpful

The crates were really badly packed

The crates were really badly packed wrecking the hot cross buns and half the loaf of bread as well as breaking 2 eggs by putting a 2kg bag of potatoes on top of them The driver offered to refund the bread before I noticed the other damage but I need it for the week The driver seemed unwilling to stack up the crates forcing me to bend really low I hope for his sake that he never gets a broken back and is forced to bed so low

Good service

Good service driver excellent but please ensure we get fresh goods I e fruit I always shop myself for that as I never get decent fresh goods especially bananas This week I ordered two oranges one was unusable

My last order didnt arrive because of

My last order didnt arrive because of their technical issues I had a 12 voucher on it Admittedly they gave me a 10 voucher off of my next spend but i would of expected the 12 Also they didnt give me great dates on some of my items and my bananas went straight in the bin as they were so bad

There isn t as much choice of groceries

There isn t as much choice of groceries as other leading supermarkets On locating a product the ability to look at alternatives on the same shelf is not possible you have to begin again There is no indication when the nectar prices will end I have put items in my basket only to realise the promotion ended Some of the substitutions to my basket have been strange The delivery drivers are lovely

Online shopping delivery improved last few month with more friendly service and competency But missing a proper local store The town is filled with lots of grab and go lunch shops which is more expensive and don t have at all necessary household items

The Drivers are brilliant if you have

The Drivers are brilliant if you have delivery just if things go wrong don t expect any sort of customer service rude put the phone down and no one gets back to you I have tried so many times when my deliver pass is up I wont renew I get no email now about my deliver only junk about what they want to sell me or what on offer
