Sainsburys home delivery

We use Sainsburys home delivery The actual delivery service is very good and extremely reliable My area of criticism would be my local store s lack of stock and restricted product range Most weeks now the deliveries have unavailable items and sometimes inappropriate substitutes There seems to be more and more items that are available in a general Sainsbury s online search but not available when we log in to the local store Unfortunately we have an ever growing list of items that we used to buy weekly that are now no longer stocked at the very large Penzance store so we now have a second delivery company along with Amazon to provide all the unavailable items resulting in ever decreasing Sainsbury s orders and their income migrating elsewhere

Problems with website

We are having problems with the website this week Usually ok but so many niggling little things We had a ghost order which was quite worrying We also had a problem connecting our nectar card to our online order Then a security message which just cut us off Normally we have no problems and would give five starts This week is very frustrating for us

Why are you discriminating against ceoliacs

What makes our experience not so great is the long term removal of many gluten free items from the website for home delivery while they are available in store More and more plant based but less and less for coeliacs and gluten intolerants It feels like discrimination

Sainsbury s greengates checkouts

Sainsbury s is usually a pleasant supermarket a bit pricey sometimes The problem for me is many manned checkouts have been removed and as older people don t like self service long queues from Most of us don t like queuing so Sainsbury s reverse this process

Slightly mixed experience

Positive The online order for 46 items was complete without any substitutions Negative one item was seafood and right up to its use by date - should perhaps not have been sent out at all There was no warning on the receipt e-mail or the driver s information that the order contained a short date item There was no hesitation in accepting the item back for a refund

Hit miss

Dates on products need to be checked as I end up with many items out of date in a couple of days time plus we often have damaged items due to packing our home delivery and also missing items which is annoying as I then have to go to the shop I have a disabled daughter and it s not easy

My main grouse with Sainsbury s is the fact that they are trying to force customers to use either self service checkouts or hand sets This may cut their costs but it will eventually lose them customers like me who have shopped with them for over 50 years and perhaps have the disposable income which allows them to use what is not the cheapest shopping option I know from talking to many other customers in the long queues that inevitably build up that I am not alone in expressing this opinon Saisburys without your loyal customers you will not have a viable business

Disappointing customer

I especially went into Sainsburys Wolverhampton at 10 30am to buy salmon for a family meal this weekend I read about the half price offers but the offers had all been sold - at 10 30am If Sainsburys is going to shout about offers like this which I am sure are good offers then they must make sure there is plenty of stock on the shelves otherwise customers are going to be very disappointed and frustrated - like I was I went to Morrisons to get salmon for my family meal

Never got all the order

I ve been using Sainsbury s online delivery for a long while now but have now reverted back to going in person every delivery we had has never got all the products we asked for so I always end up having to go out again to the supermarket to buy the remaining goods totally defeats the object of having it delivered plus a few weeks ago they never even turned up with it after waiting in all night disappointing to say the least on the plus side the delivery drivers were always pleasant plus the prices never stop going up despite inflation coming down the nectar prices do help though

Nectar card payment not working

For the last 4 or 5 months unable to use my Nectar points as part payment on a regular basis This occurs when using the Sainsbury online shopping app Excuse after excuse that they know there is a problem with their app I can open up my shopping trolley using a browser but am then informed my Nectar is not linked which is rubbish I am sick of having to enter my long Nectar number to make payment When my delivery pass concludes I am going to try Ocado
