New car handover

My reason for only giving 3 stars for the handover of my car is I was not expecting there to be a second vehicle handover to be taking place simultaneously and because the second handover was so noisy it did detract from what should have been a very pleasant experience for my wife and I I would recommend in future that handovers are staggered and only one is taking place at any one time

Good sales representative but poor aftersales

I liked the attitude and support from the sales representative he fulfilled all the commitments made at the time of sale However I did not get the demo of the car and detail explanation of the features the after sale service is not up to the mark as our calls are not returned and we discovered many features in the car that are not working

First impressions count

We booked an appointment with Dave but our first impression was not good he arrived at our table sat himself down with his laptop whilst I was left stood standing and had to get my own chair and he did not even introduce himself to us Not a good start We got the impression that the standards at Sandown Guildford could be better and had we not needed desperately to buy a car could easily have walked away When we completed the paperwork and made it quite clear we did not want any additions to try and sneak in the paint and interior cover was not a smart move along with the admin fee Lastly on collecting the car my wife and I were so surprised that after spending so much money on a car you end up with not even a full tank just 70 miles of petrol in the tank Lets hope the services are better

Sales IT system is a shambles

Sales IT system is a shambles 14 day delivery took 28 days Had to unbook our order and re book Sales staff at Epsom are fantastic just as frustrated as we were and could not be more helpful

Generally my experience was

Generally my experience was good however once we had agreed a deal to include a boot liner with tongue to protect the back bumper this wasn t met which was disappointing

There is a ludicrous number of emails

There is a ludicrous number of emails involved and a most clunky digital experience which needs streamlining

Reversing camera cover opens unnecessarily

The salesman was polite and professional however he failed to point out one very irritating feature of the car which is that the reversing camera cover opens when the car is travelling at below 20 mph - EVEN IN A FORWARD MOTION The action is noisy irritating and COMPLETELY POINTLESS On leaving my house due to the winding roads it opens and closes 10 times in a 3 minute period until I reach a road where I can go above 20mph it is very irritating

A very pleasant member of staff

A very pleasant member of staff However the whole process of buying a car is torturous very time consuming and far too much paperwork I ve completed fewer forms when buying a house A review of so many forms needs to be undertaken it cannot be necessary to have so many different forms

Purchased 2 new cars

What had been an excellent start to the process of buying two new cars was sadly let down by a lack of internal communication resulting in taking a week to receive refunds for our previous cars and lots of chasing and escalating from us However if you do plan to buy a new car go see Jack The guy was an absolute legend and incredibly passionate about his job We received regular updates and our excitement was most definitely shared with him I sincerely hope he continues to do really well at the dealership and am grateful for the level of service he gave us
