No opportunity to make an offer

We re house-hunting on the island and spotted a property of interest to us online We knew the location well are cash buyers and ready to proceed immediately We called the agent to book a viewing but were told the earliest they could do was the following Wednesday So we accepted the appointment arranged another ferry crossing and travelled down the day before While en-route we got a phone call from the agent cancelling the viewing as the property was now under offer We were astonished We hadn t had the opportunity to view the property or make an offer We could easily have come down earlier and had the means to bid well over the asking price if necessary We fully accept that it s the vendor s call as to how many viewings to allow and when to accept an offer but we would have appreciated better service and communication from the agent

Susan Payne came very quickly when I contacted her and gave me 1 charge which was very good It took longer than I expected for the property to be put on the market but then a number of people came to view very quickly The buyers seemed to have a problem with their mortgage and their deposit before exchanging which I found worrying and only found out after enquiring I expected people would be chased up but found that I always had to ask the question after which Jan always chased up by asking either the buyers or their solicitor Everyone in the office was always very friendly and helpful

Susan Payne Property is unusual as it doesn t have any High Street presence The agency is based in Wootton on the Isle of Wight and run by Susan with her excellent team All of the staff are well trained and helpful Each staff member has their own role but clearly keep in touch with each other to enable them to assist when clients phone in When our property didn t sell we had a meeting with Susan and she decided to get a drone photographer to take shots showing the proximity to the sea and countryside We think this really helped to sell the house We were very happy with Susan Payne and can see why her For Sale boards are all over the island
