Bob hope no hope

Unable to get a quote online as my requirements etc were not accepted automatically Received a lengthy robotic call from an advisor which resulted in a quotation double the price from my previous insurer insurance4boats Obviously I shall not be client of tower gate on this occasion Upon reviewing the breakdown of costs the customer service charge of 25 is totally unacceptable I don t pay a customer service charge at Waitrose B Q nor other insurance products I posses

Mixed bag Was not made aware my policy was up for renewal until after the grace period This is of no use whatsoever However Hannah was simply fantastic and got everything sorted quickly and efficiently

Towergate offer my marina a 20 discount but even then they are 30-40 more expensive than my current insurer I will not trouble myself with another quote As a footnote - I went to craftinsure and paid less than 30 of the quote that Towergate gave me - yes a whole 1100 cheaper I think you need to do work Towergate

Operatives on the most part polite but there is nothing worse than your request going through too many hands and you are having to repeat yourself time and again or nobody returns a call to inform where they are with your query Hence repetition of the said query

I have been insured with Towergate for a number of years I very often had to chase my policy documents on renewal which was frustrating Last year my renewal fell over a Bank Holiday I did not receive a renewal quotation to remind me The office was not contactable and you could not renew online We had no choice but to renew with an alternative company online that day About a week later I received an email from Towergate who as far as I was concerned had left me uninsured saying I owed them the policy fee When I responded to the email and complained about the service I was met with radio silence

Towergate had a system failure when I paid my annual renewal bill They were unsure I had paid them but my payment was taken from my bank account by them Over a 4 day period I had to continually call them to get everything confirmed and actioned which called into question my trust and I hated that

After many years of holiday home insurance the premium for 24 25 was quoted as 23 After twenty minutes of exchange with a most helpful and unruffled agent the 687 premium was reduced to 636 and then 618 I am concerned for the elderly who might net have the energy or perseverance to challenge this unacceptable profiteering

Just had a renewal quote for buy to let total amount chargeable was 157 28 This was acceptable to us so left it to auto renew Full amount taken from our account was 186 78p None of our documentation has quoted 186 78 Customer Service says extra is for Towegate broker charges This should be up front

I got through quickly

I got through quickly Then followed 45 minutes of questions but the guy was very friendly and we even had a few laughs The final quote was better than I had feared
