Holiday Ruined

Secret lakes of Italy was a wonderful experience completely eradicated by an appalling journey home The flight left Verona late because of a fault in the aircraft On the final approach to Bristol where our pre booked car was waiting the fault reappeared and we were diverted to Gatwick The airline bussed us back toBristol I rang the car company to explain that we were going to be late They cancelled the car and charged me more than 200 to rebook I spoke to Travelsphere about this on my return but was told that I had to complain by email I did this last Monday and received an automated response saying that they would respond within 28 days I waiting for their response with bated breath and little hope UPDATEI received a response from Travelsphere well before the 28 days were up However they will not refund the transport charge because I should have called them on an emergency number which they claim they emailed to me I have not yet found that email and am conserving my strength to have another go this week

Croatia Uncovered - September 2022 booked with Travelsphere

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour the crew and staff on the Adriatic Pearl were terrific as was our tour guide which made our trip one to remember What however will live with us is the appalling taxi service which was to be provided by Addison Lee This company proved to be an absolute disaster from start to finish Long before we left they sent emails giving the wrong tour date the wrong time and wrong home address We contacted both Travelsphrere and Addison Lee direct advising both parties of the incorrect details Whilst we received emails from Addison Lee confirming the correct dates and times in the event they sent a taxi to our home on the wrong day and then failed to arrive on the correct day This meant that at 04 30 on a Sunday we then had to arrange getting ourselves to the airport Even when we returned Addison Lee sent us the wrong taxi details Despite many telephone and emails to Travelsphere they have failed to provide acceptable answers as to why we experienced so many problems They have simply said sorry and reimbursed our fuel costs - we will not be booking another holiday with this company

Very poor experience

We were excited to book a tour of India to celebrate our retirement and my 60th birthday We were told by Travelsphere that the dates we had chosen at a cost of 7 5k for our holiday would be cancelled however they could offer an alternative date 2 weeks later we were so pleased that alternative dates were given BUT we were also asked to pay an additional amount of almost 1000 They also said they would only guarantee that the holiday would go ahead in a few months we were booked for Feb and obtaining visas is taking months at the moment With heavy hearts we decided to cancel when we do book again it will NOT be with Travelsphere who I feel gave terrible customer service and tried to make more cash out of there decision to cancel the holiday booked Shame on you

I was part of the tour group with Sally K to Canada and the quality of hotels was way below what was expected for the price of the holiday Your reply to Sally saying ONE of the hotels was not up to par was not accurate The Toronto hotel room was 2 star the type of room you felt you had to keep your shoes on The hotel room in Banff was so small you could wash your feet in the shower while sitting on the toilet with a view of the air conditioning equioment Worse the Banff hotel supplied earplugs as there was a Karaoke lounge The hotel in Vancover Island also supplied earplugs this time we were above a nightclub room 222 You could feel the music pounding Not the standard promised or expected for the price we paid What is very disappointing is we have had NO response to our direct email to Travelsphere while in Toronto or to the feedback form we submitted Travelsphere promise service you can count on haven t heard anything from them and you will be staying somewhere wonderful carefully selected we were told in more than one of the hotels when we we all complaining about the rooms Travelsphere booked the basic rooms Travelshere over promise and under deliver

Our taxi organised by Travelsphere through Adison Lee failed to turn up resulting in us having to drive ourselves to the airport On our return Travelsphere weren t interested in paying any incurred parking or travelling costs Two huge companies closed ranks and just blew us away You can dress it up as you wish but you promised a taxi at 4 00am it arrived at 6 00am ONLY because of our chasing phone call You broke your promise by two hours and you are happy with that We will let the readers decide who s right the customer or the multi million company We did NOT cancel Adison Lee sent the taxi KNOWING we wouldn t be there They knew exactly what to do to avoid costs and they played us perfectly With the stress caused which you have failed to acknowledge we just made sure we went on holiday If in doubt check out Adison Lee on Trustpilot 84 gave one star would you trust them Numbers don t lie Do not risk your holiday

Lacking Empathy and human decency

After many successful holidays with Travelsphere I will now be avoiding them completely Their lack of empathy and common decency towards their customers shocked me I booked a holiday with them and on that very day my wife had an accident two days later she was told she needed urgent surgery I contacted Travelsphere feeling in the circumstances they would refund the deposit but instead was met by them just matter of factly quoting the legality of them keeping the deposit to me I fully accept that if they wanted to they could keep the deposit but did expect a more human approach from Travelsphere I have had instances before when companies have waived their right to keep the deposit due to circumstances However what disappointed me the most was Travelsphere s lack of concern for their customers G N Humphrey

Croation Island hopping Do not waste your money booking what they falsely describe as a cabin upgrade

We returned last month from the Croatian Island hopping holiday We paid an extra 400 for what was described as a cabin upgrade What we actually got was a room no bigger than a cupboard with no storage space We raised the issue with the rep at the time who told us there were no more suitable cabins despite us knowing for a fact that there were free rooms I complained upon our return to be told that we used the cabin we paid for so that was that Apparently it had a window so that was the upgrade We couldn t open said 12inch square window because if we did you couldn t walk past the bed My husband and I had to change separately all week one of us going somewhere else on the boat because space was so tight Do not book a so called room upgrade 400 is a lot of money for a shocking poor standard cramped space The cabins where no extra premium was required were light and spacious I am very dissatisfied with the response to my complaint and will never use this company again I have a friend who is an independent travel agent and she too will be warning potential customers about what is essentially robbing customers of 400 for substandard accommodation

Very bad administration

While I have had good experiences of this company before lockdown I must say that their administration is now deplorable I have been sent no information about my holiday and all requests are met with a computer generated response There is no telephone line I fear this holiday will be cancelled and I shall not use this company again

No aftercare or customer service

No aftercare or customer serviceHad a request for a complaint got a response on the 3rd October which i responded to on the 3rd October still noone has bothered to come back to me They clearly dont care about how they treat their customers

No straight answers

Waiting with patience 2 weeks for my refund for a holiday that they cancelled assured it would be actioned as urgent With one day until 2 weeks passed still no refund I called just to check everything was ok The gentleman said it had been sent to finance today They would not give me a straight answer as to why not processed on the 1st September They are holding thousands of my money Totally unacceptable
