Triangle Theta Signature speakers

After years of trying various bookshelf speakers including Bower Wilkins 805D3 Sonus Faber Olympia I and DALI Epicon 2 I was never entirely satisfied with how well they integrated with my McIntosh 275VI tube amp I have a small sound room and play primarily small ensemble jazz and classical at low to moderate low volumes They were all very good speakers but for me they were not great And then I discovered an unknown French-made bookshelf the Triangle Signature Theta The reviews and literature were impressive but then has anyone ever read a bad review So I had a few discussions with my online dealer New York Sound and Vision in terms of how well the Theta s would meet my needs as to working with tubes at lower volumes Based on my readings and my dealers advice I decided to give it a go Buying a pair in gloss mahogany I will simply say the Thetas look and perform spectacularly At lower volumes they have excellent base precise and articulate highs and midrange as well as a wonderful soundstage They are very solidly built permit bi-wiring and the grills attach with hidden magnets No grill attachment holes to spoil the exquisite mahogany finish Having a few product support questions about the speakers I contacted Triangle s USA distributor the Antal Audio Group also in New York State Their prompt response and excellent assistance was as good as their speakers Triangle NY Sound Vision and Antal have turned out to be for me a terrific find Hence 5 stars My only complaint I wish I had discovered the Thetas sooner I could have saved a small fortune on speaker experimentation

I really want to share my gratitude to Triangle for bringing back my passion for listening to stereo music I recently got back into record collecting and although it has been mostly enjoyable there was one deficient area - finding speakers that sounded great in my small office listening room I tried several brands to no avail and was about to give up when a friend told me to check out the BR03 Upon opening the box I knew these were special The fit and finish are simply gorgeous After a little time spent burning in I was was ready for my critical listening test I placed my pristine copy of Dire Straits Love Over Gold on the turntable and hoped for the best but admittedly expected another disappointment And then it happened - the BR03 s blew me away I know I am not very good at describing an experience like this in words but the bottom line is that I have not enjoyed my music like this in a very long time The bass was full but not in your face and the highs were clear and bright However it was the sense of space that really sets these speakers apart from the competition The music filled my room and it did not matter where I sat - the speakers literally disappeared and allowed the music to shine It felt as though Mark Knopfler was right there in the room with me I don t know if Triangle hears this very often but they deserve a huge thank you I encourage others to discover this wonderful company and I urge Triangle to keep on doing what they do so well - bringing the joy of music to everyone Cheers Barry MillerMississippi U S A
