Very Disappointed

I am very disappointed with this program Honestly I feel that the lessons are not truly geared to what a MA needs to know and this course will not be much help in passing the CCMA test First of all there are numerous spelling errors in the lessons and some of the videos are ridiculous rather than informational I have gotten a lot better learning experience thru using the NHA study guide and their practice reviews Would I recommend this program NO Sorry but I feel this has been a waste of my money Also this course is loaded with extraneous info that is not needed to study The charts and diagrams are poor quality and barely readable

The program I was doing all material

The program I was doing all material was not easy to locate due to not listened in the areas for each lesson Had to spend a lot of unexpected time to find things that still were not easy to find Very time consuming To anyone looking into Do lots of research and make sure u want to do and deal with things that come up Other wise you could be upset and disappointed like me Good luck with what you decide

They seriously need to update their material

I will start out with the good things Getting into the program was very easy learning to navigate through the profile material and quizzes very intuitive Grading happend super quickly and the contact with the instructor was friendly and I never had to wait long for an answer Cancelling the course on the 5th day happened like they promised without questions asked Now that I mentioned I canceled after my trial period I will jump to the reason and therefor the bad thing I signed up for the office administrator course and worked several hours a day on it Already during the first hours I sometimes was amused by what I had to learn The approach they are teaching is so dated doing research by collecting brochures and other things and keeping files of it calling everyone to compare prizes keeping an atlas in your desk add pager numbers and fax numbers in itineraries Up to then I thought ok I know better how we do it in our times now I just go on to get this course done and have proof I have done it But reaching chapters about technology in offices having to learn about how fax machines video phones and modems work how many lines you need in your home so that one can use the phone and the other be online at the same time and more things like that I decided that I am not willing to pay over 700 for material that hasn t been updated in so many years

You get what you pay for

Just completed the Medical Coding course Compared to many others this school is affordable I have ten years of experience as a medical assistant Due to an injury I can no longer be on my feet for long periods of time This anatomy section was fine and was more of a review for me than anything else If you have zero anatomy knowledge this will be a very difficult course The actual coding part is hard even with some prior experience in coding I do not feel there were enough practice exercises and there are NO supplemental exercises available For me personally coding ICD 10 is easier than coding CPT You have to be very detailed oriented and even then it is easy to make a mistake I found the E M CPT coding section the most difficult and when I reached out for extra resources there were none For that reason alone I would NOT recommend this school I am scheduled to take the CPC exam on 11 11 I have been studying everyday in hopes that I will be successful I m very disappointed overall and if I could do it again I would choose the AAPC course instead Also you will need a 205 for an AAPC membership just to take the 400 test once If you are already enrolled or choose this school I highly recommend you download all of the course material I would go through it this way first then input my answers online As far as the response from the school as I said previously the anatomy was not a problem I did reach out to my instructor and was not provided the E M resource provided in the response in this review It appears the school is more concerned with a bad review than providing resources when requested by students when they DO reach out to an instructor
