The only reason I m giving US Service Animals one star is because there isn t an option to give them 0 I was on the phone with a therapist for 4 minutes I checked my call history and most of it was me talking about my health and then her talking about the legal support If you re like me you think the legal support is a great bonus It s not When my landlord denied my letter saying it wasn t an ethical ESA letter I reached out to the legal team It was not considered ethical because this company gives letters to everyone The legal team basically avoided my question about a refund and only gave me sample emails to send to my landlord I was on hold with HUD for almost 2 hours each time I called I was given a different number to call DO NOT USE US SERVICE ANIMALS This is NOT worth the headache They still won t refund my 200 I am furious If you need an ESA letter go to your own doctor or therapist This company is a MESS

For emotional support dogs it is not required to be registered or trained but this is omitted in description and it is only over 100 to register for a lifetime Totally misleading Also their costs are extremely high Taking advantage being greedy I don t know why but public has the right to be told the truth Economy is also a problem which they need to evaluate and come up with better offers There are websites much better priced

BS another fraud for people that think they are entitled to take their pets anywhere These lap dogs on planes with vests and leashes marked service dog perform no service All pets provide emotional support and this requires no training or skill

This service is ridiculous I tried getting housing letters seeing a specialist for accommodation for my apartment certified my pet and even paid for an elite membership For having a legal team they don t help AT ALL I m asking for a refund and taking my money elsewhere

Many people who need an ESA can barely afford 150 00 but 89 00 which ends up being 102 97 then told they have to pay 200 00 more for the actual prescription ESA Letter When places like Pettable charge only 150 00 for all of it My daughter just did this today and I had to step in and help her Then when you cancel they only refund you 89 00 of it They are rude and I will be sure to spread the word that pettable com is amazing and not a rip-off The service lady told me that because we are from Ohio it cost that much Tell a better lie and be nicer to people You are dealing with people with PTSD and other emotional and mental issues Ridiculous Please stay away from this company There is better out there they are very kind considerate and affordable

I am writing this review while WAITING for customer service to take my call I have been on hold for over 2 HOURS All I want is my money back My landlord DENIED my LETTER because it DID NOT MEET ALL THE REQUIREMENTS and necessary information I contacted the therapist who sent me the letter and she put me in touch with the legal team The legal team doesn t do much more than send sample emails DO NOT USE US SERVICE ANIMALS I was surprised at how quickly I received the letter Apparently everyone qualifies for it as long as you pay the fee If you need an ESA letter please consult with your doctor therapist or other company do not WASTE your TIME and MONEY on US SERVICE ANIMALS

Before getting the letter no one tells you about the refund situation i shouldn t have to go through a legal team this should be void automatically and i should be given a refund I m going through a financial situation and I just wanted to get a short term rental I want my money back so I can be able to just live with my parents but I can t get my money back and thought it was best to get my animals certified cause I have a lot I can t get anything with the number of animals i have and i just want my money back and no one is being helpful Feels like a trick to sign up and they added a membership i didn t want

This is going to be a long review so you can understand my full experience with this company I have several health issues including PTSD ADD and bipolar disorder Last year Dec 2022 I used US Service Animals for the first time I spent about an hour on the phone with a doctor who worked with me to understand why I needed an ESA and approved it She made a point to ask questions that helped her understand my issues At this point in time I would have given the company 4 stars Not 5 because of the way they ask questions and write the ESA letter Last year I signed up for the VIP status and was supposed to get a free renewal letter this year This year scheduling the appointment went fine but the doctor only asked pointed questions Such as Have you been going to therapy Have you been taking medication I gave pointed answers No She never asked me why I said no but repeated the same questions and then denied me a letter My issue with this is if you are actually working with patients with mental health issues then you know it is very difficult for us to just open up to strangers and your questions don t lend themselves to explanations I cannot afford therapy and my prior experiences with it did not go well I am also unable to take medications due to the side effects This was never asked of me Instead I just received a denial letter which would force me to give up both of my ESA s This call lasted maybe 10 minutes or less I do not feel like she tried to help me at all just looking to deny people who desperately need their services Just because I didn t answer the pointed questions correctly I called customer service They scheduled me for a 2nd opinion which I was going to be charged 180 for The second provider never called Then they switched it to another provider after that 24 hour period They claim the provider called me three times but I did not miss any calls or have a call blocker set up So I never got a second opinion I called back and canceled and went to Support Pets They got me a new ESA letter and a PSD letter within 24 hours I wish I went to them sooner The process was much simpler and they seem to care more My letter complaint from above US Service Animals writes you a full prescription but you have to hand this over to your landlord with all of your medical diagnosis attached This should be a violation of HIPAA This is the only ESA letter I was given to use When I switched to Support Pets they give you a letter with all required information but they state they cannot give your medical information per HIPAA interesting If you still decide to use US Service Animals please be aware that you should Google how to answer questions correctly or you will not be approved It really feels like a scam to me If I have to look up the answers I am cheating I have no reason to cheat It is their responsibility as providers to help people like me navigate the process I was not aware that you are supposed to be in therapy and take medication and if you don t you can be denied Unless you go out of your way to make sure they understand why even if they don t ask Also be advised about what I stated about the letter If you are ok with your landlord knowing your medical issues then that s on you but I much prefer keeping that information to myself I will not be returning to US Service Animals as a customer There are other companies out there that actually want to help you Not look for excuses to deny you I cannot will not give up my babies I need them and I have found providers that agree just not here apparently

Chat room closed and I was blocked Paula If I remember correctly I kept asking her questions about service animals Like How will i know if it is a service animal or if someone is trying to blow smoke up my butt and is now calling it a service animal you cannot ask for paperwork nor do they need any to become a service animal I did a cut and paste straight from their wed page to the chat room and asked them to explain why do I need to have a licensed professional train a dog when I don t need to show any proof that the dog has been trained it is not law so anyone can train their dog and say it is a service animal she didn t like me poking holes in her answers So She shut down the live chat and I cannot get back on WHY WOULD I PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT I CAN NOT PROVE AND ANYONE CAN CAN SAY THEIR DOG IS A SERVICE ANIMAL ALSO makes no sence to me time was around 9 to 930pm chat took place

This company is a LIE After several calls trying to figure out if their ESA letter would be of help I was assured that the letter would be signed by a PSYCHIATRIST after purchasing letter I called again before getting a call from DR to verify that it was a licensed psychiatrist I was assured it was When I received the letter it was not a psychiatrist but a licensed therapist I called back to let them know that I asked several times about it being a psychiatrist but those recorded calls are not in their record How convenient DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY SAY Like I said It s convenient that you don t find the call where I specifically asked about a psychiatrist And when we called back to fix the letter it was not because it was on two pages It was because the date of birth was wrong that s when we realized the signing physician was not a true physician You clearly are only listening to calls that benefit you
