Guess I m a one off

The reviews are baffling Only used two coats on each of my walls always bought the premium Matt - have several different different colours in my home and will be buying more Coverage is good and I m not a brilliant painter It all looks great and even Colour matching is great

Excellent paint

I have purchased Valspar Paint on three occasions recently two mixed colours and a large tub of premium white emulsion Have have previously used Dulux and Crown Paint and the coverage of Valspar is far superior I have just painted over a newly plastered wall in pretty much one coat without any issues at all I am delighted with the product and will use from now on

Fine by me

All seems good to me as a painter and decorator Did dark grey on white in 2 coats Original wall paint can affect new paints so best to prep them well especially if you don t know what the original paint make was my son s new flat was builder s white whatever that was Hopefully will wear well though all dark colours tend to get chalky marks when brushing against them

We have read many of the previous

We have read many of the previous reviews and just can t understand why Valspar has been rated so poorly We have renovated and built in excess of 20 properties over the last 35 years We used Valspar interior paint last year throughout our own a period house It s been excellent and my husband found it s the best paint with the best coverage he s ever used Valspar are able to match and mix up whatever colour desired from a sample providing a huge colour range which is such an advantage We can only think the surfaces previous reviewers were covering were not fully prepared and stable prior to painting We are now about to paint the exterior of our home with Valspar too

VALSPAR IS GOOD TRUST ME

All these negative comments on valspar must be DIY people that are not properly using this product I m a professional painter and I highly recommend valspar and used correctly is superb for money and great for colour matching I ve used many trade places but still go back to valspar If you prep walls correctly and correctly use the right according paint for the walls then Valspar is the one Don t forget there is that many different types of finish You must pick the right one for different types of wall areas

Worth the money

Worth the money We ve used the premium paint with our own colour It holds up well to scuffs etc and cleans easy with no damage We have used it for the whole house and so far no issues Easy to apply with hardly any splatter and gives good coverage A pleasure to use It s the only finishing paint we ll use

Excellent colour choices

Excellent colour choices - the chips make picking colours really straight forward and the mixing process in B Q was nice and straightforward The paint applied wonderfully with only a basic prep of washing down the walls beforehand 2 coats was all it took to turn dark brown walls into neutral Pans Flute Highly recommend

Excellent

I have been using valspar for 2 years It is a superior emulsion especially when compared with brands like Dulux crown It s durable had great coverage a clean finish It does not splatter Never had any flaking issues

All the negative reviews had put me off buying Valspar in the past until I needed a few colours mixed and thought I d give it a go I chose two medium dark shades which were colour mixed to a Little Green colour one for each bedroom The colours were perfect and after 2 coats I achieved a really lovely finish and great coverage Will definitely use again

I ve used valspar paint for several years now the brilliant white matt emulsion is brilliant white and goes on very well and b q will mix any colour you want I don t understand why this paint would get so many bad reviews perhaps it s not the paint that s the problem
