My problems is I can t open the lid on 2 5 litre tin I managed once after struggling for abut 3 hours using various tools Now I need to open again and I can t I given up for today and I ll probably try again another day I have left the one wall unpainted

It seemed to go on alright but for a bathroom paint to not be able to be wiped down once dried is a bit useless It also peels off with the lower tack masking tape We also bought too much but weren t told we couldn t get a refund Don t waste your money

Past few jobs I have done The customer has bought valspar Now when it was the v700 range never had a problem with it But since its changed to this premium one Every job I ve done with dark colours especially Has dried patchy It s covered but drys patchy I ve tried not voer rolling it Doing one wall at a time and still dries patchy I think getting the v700 range back should be considered

Must be one of the worst paints I ve used unfortunately the customer purchased the paint tough matt 90 for 10 litres purchased 30 litres 4 coats in and still no coverage states excellent opacity am still waiting as I professional decorator it s the worst durable paint I ve come across

Really nice colours but absolutely awful to paint with Takes four coats and there s still patches on the walls Very thin paint which makes cutting in more difficult Stick to Dulux Even the homebase own brand was better than this and I paid for the premium paint too

Lovely colour and great choices but the premium paint is watery and needs a few coats which works out expensive I painted a cream over white so I normally need one coat of dulux

Edit - Valspar sent me a reply below I provided them with the information requested and they have not contacted me since I loved the colours I chose but the quality is poor Any slight scuff and the wall is marked The marks can t be wiped off and touching up the paint causes a colour difference The worst for this is the dark blue deep water as I sanded some woodwork near it the dust went onto the wall and I can t wipe it off with a dry cloth without the blue coming off with it even though the wall was painted months ago

Used Valspar paint calculator to calculate number of litres required for two rooms of similar size- I m a surveyor so would like to think I can measure Both rooms similar size but using different colours- approx 60m2 each after deducting for windows and doors Allowing 2 coats is 120m2 each room According to Valspar paint covers approx 10m2 per litre So a 5 litre tin is 50m2 Meaning 120m2 50 2 5 tins approx or 2x5litre and 1x2 5litre with a little spare Imagine my surprise when 1x 5litre tin covered 2 FULL coats in the room So if its the same in the next I ll have 2 FULL 5 litre tins AND 2 FULL 2 5 litre tins of paint left that s around 175 of paint that I don t need and CAN T get a refund for from B Q Really not impressed and would say be VERY wary this Sure you don t want to go short but it seems to me that 10m2 per litre seems extremely conservative and VERY expensive Help please Valspar

I have used valspar before the ordinary walls and ceilings with no issue so bought it again in a beautiful ochre colour The colour is amazing which is why it is getting two stars however like others the coverage is really poor I bought 2 5l to do a feature wall and that has done over 3 coats and it is still patchy and in need of more coats Really surprised - have they changed the formula Really for the price it works out as expensive as farrow and ball as I need to buy another tin How ridiculous It is more expensive than Dulux also It s a shame as the colours are really nice

Initially I liked the consistency of the paint it appeared to roll on really nicely that was after I d picked all the dried up paint from round the edges of the container after I d opened it for the first time and spent ages making sure it was mixed properly as it seperates a ridiculous amount The next issue came when we ran out of a colour so had more mixed at the same place providing the same paint sample card as the original paint The paint we got is a different tone to the original one so now we re having to redo all the ceilings which is an expensive job
