Bunch of fkin sharks Put 16 20 in a shell a my fault thought I had used pay at pump my error Received a letter offering to pay a 30 quid fine within 14 days only issue was letter arrived after the 14 days so its now 60 quid E mailed customer service a was informed pay the 76 quid or we will send the debt collection team

Very dodgy report it to action fraud and the police
I have been told at a fuel station that my car has been blacklisted for a drive off despite not having received anything in the post They gave me the vars technology email to contact them direct They came back firstly to say they had raised the issue and someone would be in touch and then later to ask that I send my V5C log book and the date I bought the car This raised alarm bells so I have contacted the police 101 who said nothing had been raised against my vehicle and I got a log number for reference They also told me not to send the V5C log book I also contacted Action fraud who gave me a crime ref and said they will look into this but to call back with any further information I still have received nothing in the post and they should have details of the registered address of the vehicle This is incredibly bad and suggest if similar has happened to you that you do as I have done so that these practices are being highlighted and logged

False accusations and claim
They have falsefully accused my husband of buying fuel from a Fuel station at Nuneaton and not pay sent him a bill of of 77 19 and threatened to increase to 137 19 in 14 days They have pictured a car different from our car but have quoted our ref no and also showed a photo of a different person The notice of the crime they claimed occurred on the 18 9 24 was sent on 31 10 24 and received from the post 2 days ago We DID NOT buy any fuel from said fuel station as we live in Coventry and have a specific fuel station we buy fuel Moreover we have not been to NUNEATON since his year as that s not our route for whatsoever Currently my husband who is image conscious is having sleepless nights and emotional distress over this Has compounded the issue by tracing the said fuel station using the postcode On getting there the attendant could not show him the proof of the debt from their records but immediately made a note of this We are not sure if going there in the first place was a good idea So we are highly distressed and are making effort to get the police involved

Vars Technology Ltd are complicit in trying to fraudulent extract money from individuals through the County Court with a company called DCB Legal Ltd Here is one example of how the scam works Your vehicle drives into a petrol station with a food outlet attached you buy some food but do not use the fuel pump and drive off Having captured your registration on APNR a year plus later a claim is lodged via the court for an amount owing by you as you failed to pay for fuel Fortunately in this particular case I was involved in the individual concerned had evidence of recently filling up elsewhere If you receive a claim form from the court on behalf of Vars Technology Ltd DCB Legal Ltd and you disagree simply lodge your defence form stating the truth N B The review above is based on evidence supplied by The Civil National Business Centre DX 702885 Northampton 7 The County Court

Said I illegally drove off
Said I illegally drove off had gone in to pay but for some reason my Apple pay wasn t accepted My mum offered to pay over the phone but they declined this The cashier asked me to transfer the money to his personal account and he would pay it Didn t feel comfortable with this so they took my details and I left after spending around 20 minutes on site Tried to call and pay once home but they said I would have to wait for a letter Letter came and charged an extra 40 Have tried to pay via the reference number provided and it is invalid Have tried to email no response Have tried to call not connected Awful company

13 09 2024 Put 15 of fuel in my car 13 30pm went to pay card was declined Gave name and address to garage only lived two miles away Phoned garage and was told it was too late to pay it was now after 5pm same day told it had to be reported as a drive off Would receive letter in the post of who to pay and how much which I never received Received a letter from Debit Collection Bailiffs Limited on 15th November 2024 demanding 135 02 or else Phoned Debt Collection Bailiffs on hold for 46 minutes no one answered my call What has this Country come too

Bullying tactics very distressing
Despite having a valid receipt for fuel VARS refused to accept the full amount had been paid Tried relentlessly to appeal didn t respond to most emails and although there was no evidence continued to harass me for 8 shortfall This was clearly was an error on cashiers side and I tried to explain that I had paid the full amount as shown on the card portal and have receipt to prove it VARS would not acknowledge that there was an error made by operative or respond to any of my messages explaining what had had happened just that I must pay the 8 plus 30 admin Have paid it because of the distress this has caused by threatening to double costs if not paid within 14 days but hoping I can continue with appeal to recover the money

Complete Chancers Criminals Took me to court after saying I d done a drive off but made no effort to check when I gave them information to contact the Police Tried bullying harassing tactics that ultimately got laughed at in Court by a judge Up there with the least professional companies I ve encountered

Caught by the double dip scam
My experience was similar to that of Tracy We were celebrating my father-in-law s 96th birthday I went to charge our electric car at a garage but three chargers were broken and the other one was in use so I drove away after about 20 min 5 hours later I went back to the same place and was able to charge the car for about half an hour A few days later VARS wrote to me claiming that I had been parked in the forecourt all day exceeding their 90 min limit They had pictures from their ANPR showing my first arrival and my second departure but claimed not to have a record of my first departure or my second arrival I sent lots of evidence showing where I had been during the day including witness statements and a credit card receipt for parking in a different location but they turned down my appeal as did POPLA who obviously just take the side of the parking company I paid the fine to preserve my mental health and they put up a screen saying the payment was unsuccessful I have the receipt from the credit card company so I don t think they will get away with that little scam I shall complain to everyone I can think of and will ask the BBC to investigate these frauds
