This is my first time volunteering and all I can say is it s very heartwarming unique experience I recommend everyone should do it as well The people in the houses are so kind and friendly Even found friends which after volunteering for 4 weeks in arusha realized how much these people mean to me The program itself is great But a tiny thing that bothers me that you can change is the food in the house we live in Nothing wrong with it maybe a change with the food very day and not the same meal for 2-3 days straight for example

Genuinely I had am incredible time and adventure volunteering in Rio de Janeiro Brazil through IVHQ org and the local Jive team I went into this blind not knowing what to expect and it s fair to say it left me with the impression to do it again I had an awesome time volunteering all thanks to the incredible people and staff at the Vila Olimpica Da Gamboa The staff were welcoming and showed me the ways of the Rio cultures I had the chance to to take in all the beautiful sights sounds and tastes of the amazing Carioca culture You can t say you ve really been somewhere unless you attempt at least to make new connections or plant a tree otherwise you re just visiting Happy to say I didn t visit Brazil but I ve been to Brazil because of all the connections and friends I made from different places that will last a lifetime I m sure

There were a lot of moving parts during my experience I wish I would have had options for better night buses offered to me instead of being given the bottom option I wish I would have been told the name of the jungle I was going to before hand so I could look into it I would have liked to have more info about tours before I got to Peru because that caused a lot of issues when I tried to upgrade and figure out what the offerings were with my schedule Otherwise it was a great experience but some of the organization and planning could be better I have had great things to say about the experience and it was overall wonderful but room for improvement

We could decide how we wanted to shape the lesson and had enough time to prepare The people were very nice and explained everything very well Outside of the program we had a lot of free time and when we needed help with booking transfer etc They were very helpful It was a really impactful and great experience

The place and the company were amazing Muonzberg is a little city next to the ocean with breathtaking landscapes and a lot of activity to do surfing is a must The programs were also great they allow you to understand how the people live and help them The only thing I have to complain about is the safety of the house infact in 4 weeks a thief came in the house twice stealing some volunteers stuff However after all is an experience that I totally recommend even for a solo female traveler like me

First of all all the people are super nice the staff and all the volunteers which makes it easy to meet new friends Volunteering was a whole new experience for me so I can t really compare or anything but I left the place proud of myself for doing it The only thing is sometimes we were too many people at the time and place so we were a bit useless But overall it was an unforgettable trip

My experience in Fiji with IVHQ was very memorable which I ll never forget The people including the staff and children along with the sports and childcare program was excellent The food was sensational and the scenery was amazing I can t wait too go back Sota Tale Fiji

The construction project I worked on is absolutely fabulous So worthwhile Such an enjoyable experience The communication with IVHQ and Maximo is great I had no issues at all except to know where I would be staying at least 2 3 days before arrival would have been nice Staff were helpful and polite

Great location Accommodation very close by and a good clean environment Food was varied and very very good Project was a little disjointed due to the frequent power cuts Spent days cleaning the Turtles and their tanks Clearing litter from the beach mending fences and collecting seaweed Feeding consisted of chopping up fish and feeding that and seaweed to the Turtles Ambalangoda a great location for visiting the coasts areas around the South West of Sri Lanka

Absolutely life changing I was so impressed by the local coordinator they did an unbelievable job The placement was a great stay Nothing special but it was clean and comfortable Volunteering was great The area we were working very much needed help and it felt like we made a significant impact The only issues was the food was a little disappointing It was edible but some meals were very cold and unappetizing I would also not go back as a guy alone I met some great people but there were barely any guys volunteering in my week But overall it was a life changing experience to engage in a new culture and volunteer at the same time
