Two weeks in Mexico A very poor organization of the team on site they picked me up at the airport 30 minutes later they forgot my homestay reservation the reserved program did not correspond at all to the one I reserved Really very disappointed

The Women s Empowerment center is located deep in the Mlonlongo slum where it is not safe for the volunteers to leave unescorted We were never allowed to leave the facility without a staff member accompanying us The arts and crafts activities that were listed to assist the women with were non-existent jewelry creation candle making I paid for one month and left on day 23 Very disappointing because the IVHQ description of the program did not in any way shape or form accurately describe the slum living conditions nor the program I spent two days cutting fabric and ironing

I pre-subscribed my son to an International Volunteer HA IVHQ Camp Two months before the Camp I decided not to send my son for the many expences requested To have a certificate about the Camp with credits 800 in other realities they give it for free And 5 Bank Fee on the pre-subscribtion And even if I cancelled it two months before they did not refund me And so many too many emails that sounds just the opposite of an organizazion working in conservation Marketing smily girls proposing to spend more and more in courses materials Definitely even if they propose to me to use the Presubscribtion Fee for the next year I will not send my son to a an HQ IVHQ Camp

Will never volunteer with IVHQ again Nothing was as they promised Shower caught fire toilets broke beds broke food was horrible volunteer project was so unorganized from the start I m confused where all the money that we paid went to Shame on you IVHQ

I volunteered to teach children in Ubud Bali and was told I would be assisting a teacher but when I arrived I was actually assisting another very young volunteer who had been doing it for a week and we had to put together our own program and it was a little chaotic I felt it was very expensive for things such as transfers and accommodation as I have been to Bali many times and I know what it costs I am fine with it as long as Bali Green receive the money as it does seem very expensive for volunteering I just didn t feel the program was as described unfortunately

I arrived in Ghana for the childcare program and had to leave after 24 hours due to a family emergency Upon my departure the local team assured that they would provide a refund for my program fee Since leaving I emailed the team requesting the refund which they replied to promising to send the money soon I have further emailed them numerous times requesting the refund and they have since ignored me To this day I have never received the money back They continue to ignore my emails and have handled the situation very unprofessionally My Program Manager has also been made aware of this but has unfortunately been little help Due to the improper and negligent manner in which IVHQ has handled this circumstance I cannot recommend them and am very disappointed with the outcome

Wish I could give Zero stars I singed up my daughter for their supervised teen camp for 16-17 years old and paid 2500 Two weeks before camp I learned that the only ones that signed up is my daughter and another 16 years old and they would not give me back my money claiming that the program is going on as planned Awful service A scam Beware The CEO claims that I received a refund but the refund was only for part of the money they keep 700 dollars as cancellation fees and Claire their head of volunteers claims every thing is going on as planned I guess a camp for 2 kids is normal They did offer me another date but we all already had plans and we can not change last minute the camp is in two weeks I guess that withholding me of 700 dollars as a cancellation fee for a program they could not preform and was practically cancelled is worth them my aggravation and a lawsuit I thought they should apologize for ruining our summer but I guess they only see the 700 and not me or my child Beware

Well-intentioned but unfortunately relies on their own volunteers to fund them Expect to pay your program fee 520au the registration fee 535au same price as the program fee all transport costs states it s included but isn t any extra night 90au and non-discounted flights insurance Any changes or cancellations also incur 215au fee A 1-week trip cost me 1200 not including flights insurance transfers leisure lunches or donations Staff are friendly however not knowledgeable about the programs or accommodation leaving an uncertain feeling I was unwell and unable to attend the program at short notice The only refund I m eligible is for 240 Pretty disappointing that I won t even be able to go at a later date since I m - 1000 au

The only thing they want is money they dont care about people and they dont adapt to any circunstance that may appear on the volunteers Dont pay nothing without informing well I paid 300 for nothing because I couldnt arrive the exact day the program started and they didnt allow me to come 2 days later when I was pretending to pay for all the program

The organisation takes your money and does not honour its commitment to a camp Be warned Their terms and conditions mean nothing They are not answerable to anything because they are international and can t be held accountable This is a scam Addition even their response is inaccurate They have no record of me because I am the mother of someone who has paid and has had their money taken They do not honour their terms and conditions and can t be challenged They do not reply to emails but interestingly replied to this review within hours Be warned
