Waddesdon Manor How the National Trust can do a bad job
Waddesdon Manor itself would get 5 stats it s a beautiful place unusual architecture for Britain full of beautiful 17th 18th art and objects plus such an interesting story in it s conception and the family The grounds are well looked after and the whole place can be a wonderful day out What ruined our visit is the reason for the low score and the Nation Trust complacency to it s visitors Under the National Trust website site Waddesdon Manor is 4 miles from Bicester North railway station so we planned our journey by rail and last leg by taxi It s wasn t until 12 miles later that we reached Waddesdon Manor the shock of the fare wasn t a good start and we had to return to Bicester North station because of the tickets Once we arrived at the visitor s car park we queued along with everyone else and bought tickets to what we thought was the house as it s was raining we didn t really need to see much of the grounds it s the house that we wanted to see Wasn t until we got to the house that a National Trust rep informed us that the tickets we got was for the park garden area and not the house So the first kiosk could have said something but just gave us a grim look and the standard sentence paying by cash or card So after getting the house tickets we were told that the entry into the house was on a fixed time allotment so we had to find cover for 45 mins as it s was raining The tea coffee kiosks are not cheap or helpful in fact nothing is about the whole day was cheap it cost us 60 each and that s without lunch Information on websites is what we use to plan our day-outs and if the information is incorrect or lacking then it can ruin a day out and be very expensive too which is the case for the Waddesdon Manor National Trust read my email

Waddesdon Estates Golden Mede
Waddesdon Estates Golden Mede Housing Potential buyers on this development should be aware that Japanese Knotweed was found on the land in 2016 and the treatment is an ongoing and lengthy process not scheduled to complete before 2021 at the earliest Full details concerning Knotweed can be found on line along with damage that can be caused to property legal requirements values etc We had been looking to purchase here for sometime and there was never any mention of this by the site sales staff either prior to or when we paid a reservation deposit last August it was not until the 11th hour when the information was received from the sellers solicitors that all was revealed and just prior to exchange of contracts We decided to withdraw from the deal but by this time a lot of energy time and money had been expended The Consumer Code for Housebuilders clearly indicates that Home Buyers must be given enough pre-purchase information to help them make suitably informed purchasing decisions This is clearly not the case on the Golden Mede development as none of the site staff sales or builders routinely run through the information so Buyers Beware

Appalling experience at WM We arrived to attend the concert at WM
We arrived to attend the concert at WM last night and had a very bad experience The bus brought us from car park but then when we had emergency getting back to our car at 8 30pm we had to walk a long distance because bus service was stopped until 10 30pm Cold windy evening weather made our stay unbearable with no blankets to buy or provided No decent food only 1 hour queue to the only standing food stall of expensive street food of poor quality We left without seeing the main act of the concert being super cold hungry and suffering from the loud banging noise music of the first opening acts because the sound was badly managed Absolute disgrace to the appallingly poor management of the whole event arrangement We felt trapped when could not get back to our car after being misled that the bus shuttle is available every 10 minutes Please correct all the above so the others will have a better experience This will be published as a warning to your visitors

Daffodil Valley Waddesdon Manor Buckinghamshire
Lovely time of year to visit Waddesdon Manor and see daffodil valley The grounds are kept beautifully Curtesy bus available from car park or a nice walk on gravel path a good 20 mins In the house extensive artwork but light varied very dark in some areas and unable to stand back to view large art pieces in corridors Overall a nice few hours spent
