Too much on the itinerary
First of all Asiana airlines were used Sadly due to them we missed our corresponding flight So arrived a day late The following day we had to catch 2 trains we noted that other customers got whisked straight through we were made to wait and only just got our flight NOTE don t go to Japan around end of March as it s the school holidays in Japan and it s very very busy Lovely group they warned us that we need to get food when we stop as the tour bus didn t stop for lunch breaks Our tour guide was from a contractor company and it was her 2nd tour which showed On itinerary there was temples after temple and we d only get 45 mins to see things on some days I d loved to spend the day at Takayama but we arrived there at 4pm and things were starting to close One day we got up to get the bullet train 1 normal train plus the bullet to Kyoto This is about 3 plus hours then we visited Fushimi Inari and Kiyomizu temple it s getting on time wise we don t have an evening meal booked getting on towards our hotel then we re told we have a theatre booked at 6pm NONE of which was on the itinerary We were knackered and didn t get to out hotel until after 8pm The hotels were good no complaints from us there Summary Too much on itinerary Communication between company and tour guide wasn t great Also be prepared that some of the tours like Matsumto Castle requires you to walk in slippers and the stairs are STEEP No chance to relax and see the city itself it s mostly temples the big names and the bus They did this in 11 days I want to go to Japan ASAP because we missed too much on this first tour There was things I loved but I wouldn t recommend Wendy Wu tours to be honest
