Do NOT buy Windstream
Do NOT under any circumstance buy any Windstream service or product I changed to Windstream two months ago and it has been a living hell Their equipment failed in two months They have no humans to resolve an issue that requires a technician Their call center is in the Dominican Republic and be prepared to hold and wait for hours I have sixteen man hours invested to resolve every screw up imaginable and I still have problems They suck

Kenetic by Windstream down from 5 stars to ONE
Up until several days ago I have had nothing but 5 STAR service that includes C S but NOT tech support I called Kenetic Friday May 3 2024 for a totally different reason than what brings me to my complaint my Blink module will not connect to my current modem Blink runs on 2 4Ghz and although mine has this the 5Ghz is over riding it C S issued a new modem that has separate bands and it was scheduled to arrive today After my call on 5 3 24 I no longer had internet Idk what she did while troubleshooting the other issue and neither does anyone else at Kenetic So today 5 7 24 NO modem I call again and CS states he saw the order for the modem but they do not have a tracking number Cutting some of the conversation this rep stated he would make my order a PRIORITY to be delivered next day I stopped him mid sentence and stated if there is NO tracking chances are it has NOT left their Kenetic warehouse so making it a priority does not mean squat until it leaves for my address I asked for a tech to bring it tomorrow I can install it just get it here Naturally that was not going to happen per CS He kept talking and I finally told him I I wanted to speak to a supervisor because I was not going to fuss at the rep not his fault but the super gets paid to hear me and fix this situation THEY got me in I was put on hold idk how long but he came back to tell me the super just went to lunch he was made aware of my situation and pls give him 30-45 min to call me back which would have been appx 7 50pm E NO CALL Let me back up a few days I have been waiting on a call from a super since Saturday because one rep Rosa did not want to troubleshoot my line to see why I no longer had internet She just repeated over and over to wait for my new modem I proceeded to tell her it could be something simple so pls check my line She put me on hold for about 10min then dropped the call So back to today when I had not received a call by 8 37 pm E I called back I told CS why I was calling and he hem-hawed around stating he could help me At this point I had the Holy Spirit helping me I have called on him a lot lately Idk what the hell is wrong with CS these days but they test me I told Oswald that I was NOT repeating myself anymore unless it was to a super Well he and I went round and round about that Yep put on hold and disconnected At this point I will NOT be put off I Called got the same song and dance but this time I was put on hold but not disconnected Imagine that Oh it flows back down hill very soon I was on hold for 1 1 2hrs and no he did not check on me So I did a conference call with another line to Kenetic Cutting out a bit here CS rep Dewayne was very nice He put me on hold said he walked the building but was not able to find a super I have to laugh to keep from screaming at this gentleman Kenetic has an office right here in town Now idk if I can walk in and get a modem but I ll find out tomorrow I just about scream when a CS rep answers with a different accent because I know I m calling another country and the language barrier alone is frustrating Don t get your panties in a wad I have had great experiences with CS from another country but most is negative J S If people would just do their jobs Trustpilot would have less reviews So would the BBB Im writing them next To be continued in the AM 5 9 24As promised I finished this holy nightmare this morning I began by calling the only CS number I had which took me right back to Jamacia The young lady was nice enough but there were no supers as early as I began my pit bull journey I found a location right here in my little neck of the woods only to be told two things they do not have the modem I need and if they did I would have to make an appt Like hell I was On to my next victim only this time I was connected to the NICEST lady FIVE STARS 4 HER I feel bad because I failed to get her name in all my rankings demands She was a trooper took each blow to her chin like a rock star She never once put me on hold spoke fluent English and was located right in the the good ole USA She began with all of the other platitudes I had already heard I stopped that Oh I did apologize right up front that she was stuck with me my lunatic ravings until I was SATISFIED I have no idea why the other multiple reps I spoke with could not see what she did but the reason I did not get my modem as promised wait for it it was out of stock If she found that info in less than 2-3 min it makes me wonder what the other reps were doing with MY TIME I m going to finish this up because I m sick of saying internet kenetic lousy CS stop placating me and fix this blah blah blah She set up a tech to come by here WHEN I WANTED HIM TO and she gave me a bill credit which I gladly took it was not what I was after and never mentioned it but by golly I took it w o hesitation

The service when it works is ok
The service when it works is ok but when it goes out good luck The customer service representatives are horrible and the wait to get through to them and the wait for a technician is horrible The technicians are good when they final arrive but you ll have to wait days Avoid Windstream at all cost

Was contacted by Windstream by phone
Was contacted by Windstream by phone and sales people knocking on my door offering new services guaranteed to work and be better 6 days after we were told it will be a week to get service restored we can t get a tech out because there service is so bad everywhere you figure since Windstream got bought out with a billion dollar investment to hey would be working diligently to get service up and running I was told not to switch but did what a mistake please get my internet resolved

I received a bill for 100 saying that i did not turn my equipment in when I did They say i have to pay it I am NOT going to pay this I know I took the equipment down to the main office They will not make it right with me so I am not going to say nice things about them GET SOMEONE ELSE DONT GO WITH KInetic they will rip you off

Poor service
We have have windstream several months it has been fine On the 13th we had a outage no reason given why and was told it would be back on the 16th at 6 As of today the 19th it is not on I called and was told they have to put in a repair ticket and it should be working by the 20th evening They said they will reimburse me for 5 days When I explained I use you tube tv streaming through windstream and I cannot watch it they said they will not reimburse me for them So just know if windstream goes down you will still have to pay for the streaming service for nothing

Thieves liars and one of the most disorganized companies to do business with Lied to me about monthly payments 12 months later charged me 373 that they had no idea why They had also set several different accounts under my name that I had no idea existed When i confronted them about this they put me on hold for over 2 hours Twice they backhanded money from me that I was unaware of

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service if you re in Zimmerman Mn do not use this provider The programs are misleading so 39 99 a month turns into 79 00 a month The customer service is a call center overseas which you can t understand Stay away don t be Fooled anything is better than these folks

Incredibly frustrated
Our experience has been so-so When it works- it s ok When it doesn t- customer service repair is terrible And this last event- sums it up perfectly Arrrrggghhhh Friday our internet WiFi was slow so we called windstream Kinetic The guy did something online And now any devices that weren t on WiFi when he did whatever- can t find our router Including the televisions Roku printer So we called back When the new guy on the phone said they had to come out work on our cables was incredibly dismissive didn t spend any time on the call What he was saying makes no sense bc the cables were fine prior to guy 1 doing something online And the earliest they can come is Monday We tried an online chat that was even more pointless No one could tell us why our cables were fine until the representative dialed in identified all the devices currently online reset something So it s Sunday I set aside today to Christmas craft watch TV those at Windstream Kinetic have spoiled my plans Not to mention- no printer- no printer is a real problem for working from home children s school assignments Christmas cards we ve figured out a work around but it s incredibly inconvenient
