Company sold out to new hands like most of these do therefore costs went up such as having to pay your own counties tax as well as Japanese tax No incentives to discount shipping when they get a discount company make profit off this Look for alternatives as this one is terrible Take it from someone with 20 years of experience

They have the most annoying security checks They keep asking arbitrary requests after you have already paid and mad a purchase Now it is hard to cancel and request refund Make these checks BEFORE I pay or make a purchase Never had such crappy experience before Definitely won t recommend it

Death from a thousand cuts the service started out as a pretty decent but as time went on it got worse and woese Slower and slower Parcels now take unepxextedly long to pack Zenmarket failing to uphold the time limit they promised users causing items to go over the free storage period and users to pay extra They can t order a limited quantity item in time to save their lives Their Mercari automatic order works only 80 of the time

Told me my package was returned due to sitting at the post office too long and is now charging me 1000 yen an additional 3800 to correct the mistake that wasn t my fault They won t even give me a discount They re scammers that are greedy Never buy from here I definitely won t again

Huge increase in costs when purchasing goods Unnecessary costs in packaging your package and an increase of more than 30 on shipping costs without any announcement I send a lot of packages with Zen Market let me say I did Scammed again by a Japanese shopping service

- Requested photo of item s condition 500 JPY - Saw them in bad condition and asked for a return - Needed to pay additional fees for cancellation 1000 JPY for each item excluding shipping fees also excluding additional fees if the seller asks for more These additional fees to exchange for decent condition items are ridiculous It can be mitigated by immediately checking the item s condition if requested and returning it if deemed necessary This system lets sellers get away with sending faulty products and punishes customers for using your service Things to note for potential buyers 1 CS took so long to get back to you Either they re understaffed or don t care that much after they took your money That s probably why they changed their free storage period from 45 to 60 days 2 Don t use this service if you want your items guaranteed in pristine or decent condition And don t bother returning the item because they ll ask for more money at an extortionary rate 3 Don t use this service if you need your item urgently It took them a week to pack and ship my previous package I hope when they increase the service fees they will improve their quality of service NOT whatever this is

Got my money taken from me

Ordered rom ZenMarket before and I expected this time to be the same as last time However the money I transferred out of my bank account but wasn t placed on my ZenMarket account I contacted costumer support since it s been longer than a week without receiving anything They said they couldn t do anything about the issue and they didn t have any sight on when or if the issue would be resolved I understand that issues can happen from time to time but the money has been taken and they refuse to take any responsibility for the mistake Honestly I just want my money back

Slow service bad loyalty program and inaccurate rate of deposit fee

Earlier this year I had a very positive experience with ZenMarket having created 8 packages Since the service fees have increased they promised to add value and alleviate the impact of this adjustment but their service has not reflected this Since the summer they have been very slow with creating packages not buying discounted items on time before the discount expires and replacing the old loyalty program with a renewed one which is spending huge amounts of money within 3 months to earn such a small amount of credit and cashback compared to earning a decent amount of credit based on how many packages you ve shipped within the last twelve months regardless of how much money you spent on the packages They now charge you far more than 3 5 deposit fee from a credit debit card when adding money to your balance For example adding 120 to your balance 18 786 JPY plus the 3 5 deposit fee would total up to about 124 20 19 447 JPY When you type this in to add to your balance ZenMarket charges you 129 54 which is 8 greater than 120 Absolute scam Taking everything into consideration I will no longer be using their service

Don t use Zenmarket use Buyee instead

Purchase an electric reel via Zenmarket everything went smooth until item received upon opening found puncher hole in bottom of box and found the frame of the electric reel damaged and broken which is unrepairable Put claim in thinking since this is a Zenmarket packing issue they would fully pay but NO they wont accept fault and im a 149 00 nzd out of pocket cause they failed to pack item correctly Found this experience of dealing with Zenmarket to be very dishonest on there behalf hence my bad feedback to warn others
