Bankruptcy done right, still a hard lesson
Former customer here through the interest account era. When the platform froze alongside the broader 2022 lender collapse I expected total loss like others suffered. To their credit, BlockFi pursued a proper court-supervised restructuring, reopened wallet withdrawals early, and has been paying creditor distributions through the appointed claims agent since the plan took effect, with my most recent payment landing last month. The recovery process was transparent and orderly even though the outcome still stung. Trusting yield platforms carries consequences regardless of how responsibly they wind down.
