I won’t be ordering from them again.
I ordered a box of Quai cigars from Ihavanas, but I never received the package. I emailed them twice but got no response, which was very disappointing. Based on my experience, I seriously doubt if Ihavanas is legit. I also bought Jose Piedra Cazadores, and within just a week of storing them in my perfectly maintained humidor (at 70°F or slightly below), they started growing mold. When I reached out to Ihavanas, a rep named Bryan gave me a lecture about mold being everywhere and suggested I simply wipe it off and smoke the cigars. Unbelievable! If Ihavanas is legit, why would they be shipping such old, mold-prone cigars and offering such terrible customer service?
Another frustrating experience was with a box of Upmann cigars. After letting them rest in my humidor for two weeks, I tried smoking four. Three of them were so tight that I could barely draw, and they burned unevenly. I even gave one to a business prospect, and he had the same problem—how embarrassing! These aren't handmade Cuban cigars; they're low-quality. Buyer beware!
To make things worse, Ihavanas misleads customers about shipping. They claim to ship from Switzerland, but that's false—it's actually the same company as COH, just under a different name. My order took four weeks to arrive, and I had to pay additional duty fees. So, if you're asking, “Is Ihavanas legit?”—the answer is clearly no!
I also bought 50 cigars (two boxes of 25), and they arrived completely covered in green, greyish-blue, and white fuzzy mold. Ihavanas took forever to respond, and when they finally did, they wanted me to send photos and return the moldy cigars before they'd replace them. What's the point? They'd probably just wipe them down and resell them to someone else. I threw them away rather than risk inhaling mold. Ihavanas does not stand behind their products and clearly doesn’t care about customer satisfaction.
Some Ihavanas reviews claim they provide great service and quality cigars, but based on my experience, I wouldn't trust them. Maybe they get it right sometimes, but they're taking advantage of customers. I won’t be ordering from them again.
