Total Scam – Avoid Vortehair at All Costs
I am absolutely disgusted with my experience and feel compelled to warn others — Vortehair is a complete scam and not a legitimate company. This so-called business is nothing more than a front for a Chinese company using SHOPLINE as the website host to target unsuspecting UK customers.
I ordered what was advertised as a high-end hair dryer from vortehair-de for £159, only to receive a product that looks and feels like a cheap knockoff. There is no brand printing on the dryer, and it is clearly not a genuine product. After some investigation, I used Google Lens on the item and found the exact same hair dryer being sold across various Chinese marketplaces for as little as $28 to $40. This is a massive markup and pure deception.
The website misleads you into believing you're buying from a UK-based business, but once payment is made, you're hit with the harsh reality: no customer support, no refund process, and zero communication. When I tried to return the item, they said it would cost too much to send back to China and that there was nothing they could do. That is unacceptable and completely unethical.
Worse still, I accidentally placed two orders due to a website glitch that claimed my payment failed. I contacted them immediately to cancel the second one, but they refused. They even had the audacity to combine both orders into one package without informing me. I returned from work to find a £318 mistake sitting on my doorstep — a package I never agreed to receive.
I’ve reported Vortehair to both UK and Chinese authorities, including sharing details of the individuals running the company and their associated addresses. But who knows if anything will happen, considering this company is operating behind a shady storefront.
I am a professional hairdresser and needed a professional-grade product, not this low-quality, overpriced junk. I’m left feeling financially scammed and emotionally drained, going back and forth via email with no resolution. They even had the nerve to offer me a £5 refund if I just keep both hair dryers. Absolute insult.
Please, do your research and read all the Vortehair reviews before even thinking of ordering. This company should be shut down immediately. Avoid Vortehair, vortehair-de, or any site affiliated with this brand like the plague. I gave 1 star only because I had to.
